2  Local / Meetings (Nederlands) / Solact | Solidity & React.js Workshop, Lezingen & Hackathons | Amsterdam on: January 26, 2019, 12:16:44 PM

Sorry my dutch is terrible so i'm using a translator, forgive me i'm only an expat for 3 months!

3  Bitcoin / Meetups / Solact | Solidity & React.js Workshop, Lectures & Hackathons | Amsterdam on: January 26, 2019, 12:05:22 PM

Hey guys i've been thinking about this for awhile and finally found the motivation to go ahead with it, with blockchain and smart contracts not going anywhere anytime soon there needs to be a hand on hand interactive place to learn these specialities. The event space is undisputed yet but will be announced in the coming weeks, I'm hoping there to be a lecture before the workshops initiate so that people can have a taste of what's to come.

If you've any questions hit me up, here or any where else of preference all my social links are present on the website.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [DEBATE] What are some of the biggest red flags in your own perspective? on: December 02, 2018, 11:28:06 PM
Hello BCT,

I'm writing an article on blockchain and cryptocurrency red flags, I thought I may gather some communal perspectives regarding what the average investor identifies what some red flags are.  There is a lot of fraudulent projects out there and sometimes it's quite difficult to evaluate a projects integrity.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Validity (VLDY) - The reference point to filter the good projects from the bad. on: November 18, 2018, 12:05:32 PM
I don't know if this is suitable to post here but it's the only branch of the forum related to scam awareness;

Read more about VLDY in an article revolved around Communal Validation or check out our ANN for a more insightful explanation.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The Stablecoin War on: October 24, 2018, 03:52:33 PM
With yesterdays announcement of USDC it is imminent that there is ongoing stablecoin war occurring,  how will the famous USDT respond to one of the leading entities in blockchain pushing out a competing asset? Let's not forget the new fiat-pegged asset to the scene TUSD, how will these entities compete with the biggest giant in the game and the easiest portal to liquidate and buy digital assets. Tether has executed some amoral approaches before, what stops them to execute with this in mind again in order to exit with some sort of profit? Coinbase and Circle are certainly in the lead with this war and it will be interesting to see how exchanges that utilise the other stablecoins will respond.

If you ask me, I think these assets are a huge risk and could drop to zero at any time due to the centralised ability of increasing the supply behind the majority of them. You may ask why do these assets incorporate such a method? It's obviously to keep the monetary value stable if a significant amount of revenue is induced to the assets eco-system. Regardless I'd rather just keep my revenue in fiat or in crypto, not in a variation that combines the two.

What's your take on this all BCT? Tongue
8  Bitcoin / Meetups / Who's hitting up the Malta Blockchain Summit next weekend? on: October 22, 2018, 03:54:43 PM
Do we have many advocates here travelling to Malta for next weekend? I am contending in the Hackathon, which will be my first of many. I'm interested to hear if anyone else from BCT is heading there and if so what do they hope to get out of the experience?

I myself am looking for viable transparent team members with a strong sense of moral values for my project Validity (VLDY) but also to find some information regarding digital asset legalisations within the EU or specifically Malta. I'm also there to mingle and meet with people who share the common interest of Blockchain and it's vast use-cases, as it's not everyday your in a close proximity with people such as so (well for myself anyways).

11  Economy / Trading Discussion / What is Communal Validation and why does it matter? - Regulation on: April 13, 2018, 08:50:19 AM
Article: https://medium.com/@samuel.jj.gosling/what-is-communal-validation-and-why-does-it-matter-93870cd17bae

My medium article relating to the flaws and values of blockchain technology and crypto-currencies in general, but most importantly a solution to an unregulated market. Any perspectives, opinions or questions are appreciated and would be like to be heard.

I hope to see you guys amongst the Šivision X community and hopefully you find your way in before the airdrop closes on the 19th of April.

13  Economy / Trading Discussion / What features do YOU want in a DEX? on: January 10, 2018, 02:54:40 PM
Dear Bitcointalk,

I've only recently found my way back here, after my long journey through the market over the past year. I've taken the time to develop with no previous background of code, i'm loving every bit of it. I was developing for a coin that's found it's way in and out of the top 100 ranks, on a yearly basis. Unfortunately things didn't quite work out and i decided to decline progressing forward with the project, as I wanted to create something of my own. For the time being i've taken on some part time developing, i've been asked to develop a DEX for a upcoming project that had a successful ICO and which is being released to the market in the future.

Regardless i'm here to ask you guys what features would make a decentralised exchange an enjoyable experience to use, for you the traders. Obviously the main attribute of a DEX is security, we've all seen what's happened with Etherdelta's DNS problems. UI is also an number one it needs to be concise, clear and fluid. Some of the other problems i've been discussing with other's are gas compensation and double order's being submitted to the books. I've some other ideas i'll keep under my sleeve until release, but please do feel free to make recommendations as I really want to hear the voice of the people on this topic.

Cheers,
Gozzy  Smiley
