Elon purchased Twitter and claims it's part of Project X.
Any thoughts on what this might mean in the realm of Bitcoin/crypto/web3, if any? Or just perhaps censorship in general as a theme?

Probably nothing. But it's pretty funny this was in the SEC's calendar that was given to a journalist/activist through a FOIA request.

I'm more and more bothered by the centralization of Big Tech and the power of censorship between the private-public partnership between Big Tech and governments.
"They" get to control the narrative so many ways. Blasting you with their message. Shadowbanning users. Banning power users with messages they don't like. Making users self-censor themselves so they don't get strikes or demonetized.
I find all of this to be incredibly bothersome. I want there to be an open platform / open protocol, similar to Bitcoin, but for the spread of information and discourse. Kind of like how the internet used to be pre-2015, give or take. The worst thing, from my perspective, is that I think the trend line for this kind of behavior from these powers that be will only continue to degrade, not remain neutral or improve, making things even worse next year than presently.
Thoughts? Do you like the current level of censorship? Want more? Want less censorship? How would you deal with a censorship-proof protocol? How would this impact politics on a local/global level for better or worse?

Been a lot of tension over the years between Doug & Daniel as most people in the poker community have watched on Twitter. They are about 15% of the way through their $200/$400 ($40,000-No Limit) 25,000 hand challenge. $200/$400 NLHE Blinds, otherwise known as $40k No-Limit Hold Em'. 25,000 hands to be played, with the person down money at 12,500 hands given the option to quit at 12,500 hands. 2 tables minimum 3-4 days per week minimum, 2 hour sessions minimum This blog article goes in more detail than we can comfortably do here: High Stakes Poker Battle: Doug Polk vs Daniel NegreanuMintDice is also offering users that wish to bet on Daniel Negreanu better than PokerShares odds as seen on this post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5152050.msg55658387#msg55658387Otherwise, as stated in the blog post, you can place your own bets on the match either through PokerShares (which also has prop betting on the match) or on the BetFair exchange. Any discussion about the match or questions all can get posted in this thread. I might also be able to get any reasonable questions I don't know the answer to myself answered by Doug himself as long as it's not too personal

We are hosting a Bit.Rocket Mars promotion on MintDice! The first player to make a successful landing on Mars or beyond (1,000x+) with a minimum bet of 0.0001 BTC or greater will win a bonus 25x added directly from MintDice. For example, if you were to bet 0.001 BTC and stop at exactly 1,000x, you'd win 1 BTC + a 0.025 BTC bonus. This makes Bit.Rocket completely profitable to play for the eventual winner since our house edge is lower than the expected payout bonus, especially if you join early before any rush of new sign-ups. Extra side notes: 1. Only one promotion will be paid, but it can be distributed in a couple different ways. If more than one eligible player make it to Mars, the player with the highest multiplier will win the promotional bonus to themselves. However, the highest win must be at least 10% higher than the player before (this prevents stalemates where someone can instantly cash out after another player, so it mildly protects those who cash out earlier). If they do not exceed a 10% advantage, this will count as a tie and the prizes will be split accordingly. For example, if someone cashes out at exactly 1,000x, the surviving player(s) must cash out at least at 1,100x win it for themselves. If someone were to do exactly this, the next valid cash out would be roughly 1,210x and so on. If multiple players make it to Mars but no one cashes out waiting for the others to cash out, no one wins and the promotion continues on until there is a safe Mars landing (or beyond). If any weird mathematical overlapping situations happen, which are possible, MintDice will do their best at a proper judgement call. 2. Our max bet allows for wins as large as 3.5 BTC presently. It is a crowdfunded casino bankroll. The largest bet presently that one can place and still win this promotion is about 0.0035 BTC. We will cover promotional wins up to a bet of 0.01 BTC (presently impossible and would require a few more million dollars in bankroll investment). This means we are presently offering up to around ~$875 in free value to the lucky winner and up to ~$2,500 in value as an upper limit if that were to exist during the promotion. 3. We encourage any players/winners/witnesses to take screenshots and post, especially so if there is a winner and can show the escape pod + user name near Mars We will likely reward this behavior to the first person to post the winning screenshot(s) here on BitcoinTalk 4. We may run this promotion more than once if it receives good feedback and are open to suggestions to make this better in the future.

Are there any companies out there that accept fiat based transactions and output BTC? I see many working on the opposite direction (off ramps) but no on ramps. Do they exist?

I have been part of a casino project for a while and have recent come to find out that the "MintDice" account is banned for plagiarism or spamming. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1346119To the best of my knowledge, the account never spammed or plagiarized anything. As a matter of fact, it's only goal was to help other users. Of course, anything is possible and differing views on "spamming" will vary from person to person. Regardless, I am extremely apologetic to the community if any harm was caused. All that said, I am looking to launch the product with that account right about now and would really like access restored. I'll make sure any use on the account is extremely conservative with respect to any potential boundaries that could be or have been crossed. I am even willing to pay a fee / make a donation to BitcoinTalk if that helps expedite the situation. Thank you so much for your help.

I keep seeing BIP69 this and BIP1337 that. I tried my best to google what these mean and couldn't find a helpful list. What do all of these random things and numbers mean?

Hello
I recently deleted a wallet by accident but I still have the 12-word password.
I'm wondering two things: Do the 12-word passphrases work for any wallet or just the one that it came from? How do they work? I tried searching for it and I couldn't find my coins!
Thanks!!

I have zero programming skills, but nonetheless, I would like something built and can talk about contributing capital towards getting it done for part/full ownership or whatever makes sense. I would like to oversee the project/designs/etc though. This wouldn't be an A-->B job as I would expect anyone to continue working on the site and improving it until the day it closes down.
I want to host a site similar to just-dice that also hosts masternodes for the balances of users. I can talk specifics with any interested parties.
I am only willing to work with extremely reputable people on this site with a large history. If you are a newbie, even if your intentions are genuine, I am not interested in working with you for now, sorry.
Payment can be in dark/btc/usd/whatever. I have plenty of capital to get something like this off the ground.
And if someone wants to steal the idea and build the site as a reputable person, please do.

Selling 25k usd worth of BTC. Want BOA/wire @stamp + 3%. 5k min.
If you want to use a trusted escrow I agree with to, that's fine but you pay any fees. Otherwise you send first if you want to skip the fees.
Completed a 110k xfer with oaxaca and dooglus as an escrow not too long ago. Completed over 3m worth of xfers on twoplustwo.com (a poker forum, with the vast majority of xfers sent first to me).
May be open to doing larger BTC sales sooner or later after this if you need to do more.

Hello.
I use the same screen name on twoplustwo.com, a poker website, where I have conducted more than $3M USD in transactions over there. I'm happy to PM anyone over there to prove that its me controlling both accounts.
I have >$100k worth of BTC, looking to sell for: [Bank of America xfer or cash deposit, Wire, Skrill] + Vig over bitstamp price.
Obviously I will do smaller amounts or break up any large transfer into pieces if that helps with trust. You must send first.
