1  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 1080Ti 1070Ti 1070 & 1080 Full Miners Watercooled and non Prices lowered on: August 22, 2018, 07:20:58 AM
Figure I'll post up some stuff for sale.

I have 50 28 1080Ti's various brands Founders Edition EVGA SC2 etc $500 each OBO.
10 6 Watercooled Corsair 1080Ti's $600 each
6 Asus 1070 250 OBO
2 MSI 1080 400 OBO
7 EVGA 1070 Ti's 350 OBO

5 brand new 8 slot boards $100 OBO version 1's I think I never used them. About 6mo old just sitting on the shelf.

Cards used for about a year some less. No problems no issues.

You can pay for a middle many no problem with that.

Don't have pics yet, that's why everything isn't on ebay yet. Once I do get around to going over to my warehouse and taking pics everything will be up on ebay.

I suggest you grab everything now. Also have all the CPU's ssd's ram MoBos etc. Just make an offer. I probably won't refuse. Don't really want to deal with the hassle of listing it all. But once I do the prices will be market prices since I'll actually have to work lol.

Located in Los Angeles California - thanks.

Local Pickup is ok as well.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Sold off roughly 60 1080Ti's - Mistake? Guess we will see! on: January 30, 2018, 12:43:08 AM
Well been away last couple days for tearing down about half the farm. It's definitely sad to see them go but decided to thin down the farm.

Why did I do it? Well I figure these 10 rigs have been running for a year and with the crazy prices people are paying.... and they paid... I figured I'll just use the sales and reinvest in BtC until stock becomes available.

It leaves with with only the 10 newly built 1080 Ti rigs I built last month and a couple 1070 and 70Ti rigs, which isn't terrible.

So will I regret the decision - guess we'll find out won't we. I already have sellers remorse, seeing the hashrates 1/2'd is gut wrenching lol.

Just thought I'd share. Thanks fam.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What is your Mining Strategy / Mindset | Asset Allocation | Current and Future on: January 23, 2018, 02:11:45 AM
Well guys and gals - I've often wondered as I see most folks here seem to have all their holdings directly invested into mining gear. Love to get your perspective of why what when - throw it out there.

I'll go ahead and break down my current Crypto Asset Allocation -

BTC Holdings           50%
ALT Holdings           20%
Crypto Trading        10%
Mining Equipment    20%

My holdings are just that, holdings for long term which I do not foresee exiting for a good time.

Crypto Trading is just that, I allocated 10% of my holdings for swing and day trading. Any profits are transferred over to increase BTC/ALT Holdings though.

All the earnings from mining are transferred over to BTC/ALT Holdings as well. Currently earnings are about 80/20 BTC to ALT but I do a lot of the time directly hold the ALT I'm mining for a few months, so the ratio changes all the time, but I'm really not cashing out anything.

I'm hoping more and more people do less cashing out to fiat and keep their earnings as assets, but I know everyone's situation is different - love to hear what you're mindset is and what your future plans are. Let's get this ball rolling guys. So how are you guys breaking things down, and if you've never really thought about it, I hope this brings it to the forefront of you mind and helps you make better more informed decisions for a game play Smiley
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining Pool Calculator Script for various pools on: January 15, 2018, 05:15:53 AM
Hey there fam - I'm pretty anal when it comes to my ... well... actually everything in general.

I'm not a coder and currently what I do is have a spreadsheet and calculate all pool stats every 12 hours so I can break it down per Mh/s or Sol/s whatever my earnings per hash

Just wondering if anyone has developed a script that would make this easier.

It's not a huge deal, as I already have the spreadsheet and just have to MANUALLY copy/pasta the earnings and what my hashrate was on the pool, just wondering if anyone has automated this process yet - which COME ON - I know SOMEONE has to have done it I can't be the only one that is like this.

Thanks guys n gals!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Hashrefinery says double payment but I'm missing the other payment on: December 21, 2017, 04:25:54 AM
Anyone know who to contact from hashrefinery? I'm missing a payment, their system says they double paid me and I went negative, but checking my electrum wallet i'm missing exactly what they said they "paid me"

I contacted user hashrefinery early this morning but no response so just curious if that's even the right person.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Installing Nvidia drivers offline on Windows? on: December 17, 2017, 10:06:59 PM
Anyone know how to install nvidia drivers offline on windows without having to go through windows update?

I've always just done it through windows but when I move into the warehouse I'll be working off wifi and a hotspot for about a month until I can set internet up. Yes, it takes about a month for Spectrum/ATT etc to set up your appointment, it's bad.

Anyways just panning ahead if I can avoid using windows update would be awesome.

I've tried it via display drivers and trying to update there but it's never stuck, I've always had to turn windows update back on then do it via updating the entire system.

Thanks fam.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [Discussion] My Bitcoin Mining journey - 400 1080 Ti's To Present Day - on: December 04, 2017, 07:59:39 PM
I wanted to first say thanks to all the great people here on the forum, this community is awesome, thanks fam!

Wanted to workshop and run a few ideas maybe bounce some stuff back and forth -

A couple months ago my partners and I sold off all our (their share) equipment and shut down our warehouse - roughly had about 400 1080ti's.

We spent roughly 200 BTC back when it was 2k/BTC (50 was from me) so needless to say even though we made our money back, if we would have just left those coins in our wallets, we would have been much much much more profitable with today's valuation @ 11k/BTC.

I still have my share of miners at my house, 50 1080ti's but my house is MAXED out - 80A and I'm paying $0.27/w here in Los Angeles, it's insane.

So now I'm at a crossroad -

  • Let my coins sit and keep mining with only 9 Rigs
  • expand this time no partners just myself

My electric is roughly 2k/mo right now so expanding to a small warehouse my bill would be only 600/mo so basically with the equipment I have now and the cost I'm paying, that savings alone would offset the monthly lease by $1,400 - it has me thinking.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / PSA - DO NOT Start Mining Alt Coins!! DANGER! on: June 01, 2017, 01:57:39 AM
Shocked If you're just contemplating on starting to GPU mine, do not, I repeat do not start!

It's like a disease has taken over me! I find myself constantly reading more and more, every spare minute - not just that -

I can't stop buying GPUs and parts!!!!!

The worst part is, I keep buying GPU's and I don't even have any power to run them, I'm pretty much maxed out till I can get a panel upgrade! I'm already probably drawing too much, 100A main and I'm using 3 rooms 20A each room... Help me!!!!!!!

RX 470's just sitting there doing nothing, 1070's and 1 baby 1060 that will probably never see a motherboard again, all abandoned like little orphans!

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Reliable Risers on: May 26, 2017, 12:28:33 PM
Just trying to see who has some really reliable quality risers - hawk doesn't seem to have any in stock atm

Will be for 1080 ti's if that even matters
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 3 Dual Rigs completed for now - testing underway :) on: May 26, 2017, 12:20:33 AM
First thanks everyone I've bugged and who's helped me out - you guys are great and there are so many awesome people here!

After TONS of reading and then more reading and searching and a few questions I finally built 3 dual GPU rigs to test out for myself.

For my test run I only bought:

2 RX 470's
2 1070's
2 1080 Ti's

Here they are

Currently just running NiceHash with Claymore Dual Miner but if anyone can suggest something better I'm all ears Smiley

The nVidia's I have on zpool using nemos 1.7.3

Always looking for better way to set up -

In the garage I also have 8 more RX 470's but I just bought 10 more 1080Ti's to replace the RX 470's since they are not earning much on NiceHash at all.

I don't have anything flashed, the nVidias are just tuned a tiny bit with Afterburner.

Thanks again for all the awesome info - my journey couldn't have even began without all you lovely people!
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What pool and what miner for a complete n00b? on: May 20, 2017, 03:59:00 PM
Running Win 10 with RX 470 cards and wondering what is the easiest way to get up and running?

Looks like most people run claymore and zpool?
