BIDDING AND PAYMENT

Minimum bid will start at 5 BTC. Bidding will be done in minimum increments of 0.005 BTC (all bids must be a multiple of 0.005). Bitcoin is the ONLY accepted form of payment for this auction. Please bid in the following format:

CORRECT FORMAT: "I bid 5.005 BTC"

INCORRECT FORMAT: "I bid 5.123456 BTC"

Should bids come in within 5 minutes of the end of the auction, the auction will be extended according to the following rules. For each bid which comes in within the last 5 minutes of the auction, the auction will be extended by 1 minute per each additional bid. For example, if 3 bids are made within the last 5 minutes, the auction will be extended by 3 minutes. Each additional bid made after the originally scheduled auction end will also extend the auction by one additional minute. This will be measured by the minute, not by the second. Following the above example, if a bid comes in at 4:02 MDT (within the 3 minute extension), the auction will be extended by one minute to 4:04 MDT. THE COIN

Up for auction is a true rarity - a unique 5 BTC coin manufactured by Lealana and Casascius. The coin is fully funded per the terms set forth by Smoothie when he sold the coin originally.

Keep in mind that at this point, due to the several hard forks by BTC since this coin was made, this coin is still funded with not only the 5 regular BTC, but is funded with 5 Bitcoin Gold, 5 Bitcoin Cash, etc.

THE COIN

One of 500 to be made, this is #12 in Lealana's series of 1 BTC physical coins, minted on a 1 oz silver coin with gold overlay.  The coin is still funded with the original 1 BTC.  This is a beautiful coin, the pictures while amazing don't do the coin justice.  The coin has been certified MS 66 by ANACS, and comes slabbed with the original certificate of authenticity. I am the original buyer, and had the coin slabbed after receiving directly from Smoothie.

Hi - years back I was a very active member here, during the time when Casascius and Lealana were selling physical bitcoins.  My account on this forum ended up getting compromised and permabanned, because someone got access to my account and started doing who knows what.  I asked for a reinstatement of my old account but that never got me anywhere.  Anyway, after losing my account I've been basically off the forum for years now, but I have over 10 BTC in physical coins I want to redeem.  I know I can use bitcoin core to redeem them, but I wonder if there are any newer, easier ways to redeem the old physical coins? 

Also, as these are older BTC coins, I know they can also be redeemed for bitcoin cash, bitcoin gold, and all the other BTC hard forks since.  Does anyone know of any easy methods to redeem so many different coins?

So, for those of us who still have some vintage Casascius/Lealana/other physical bitcoins, I assume that if ever broken open to redeem the wallets, we can redeem the same coin both on the standard Bitcoin blockchain, as well as the Bitcoin Cash blockchain?  Is there any reason it would be any more complicated than that?
