1  Economy / Service Discussion / Bittrex - source of funds on: June 05, 2020, 04:16:43 PM
I received following mail from Bittrex:

Thank you for being a valued customer of the Bittrex Global platform.

Per our protocols, we are required to obtain source of funds information from select users. Please fill out the form which you will find at --personalised link was here-- and submit it along with the respective supporting documents within 7 days in order to continue utilizing your Bittrex Global account. This is similar to what other cryptocurrency exchanges in regulated jurisdictions require.

Our privacy policies are available here: ---personalised link to their privacy policy--- which are part of our Terms of Service. Additionally, all of your personal information is kept on an encrypted server.

The link was to this pdf:

Anyone else had this lately? I've barely used the account the past year, I think I'm either under investigation or they try to disable inactive accounts to seize the assets.
The account was used more intensively before that and has been properly verified for at least 2 years.

The fact that they use personalised links is quite disturbing. I couldn't find many others having similar issues.
2  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Antminer S9 - 23 TH/s possible? on: June 15, 2018, 11:37:42 AM
Although the title may have persuaded you to simply say 23TH/s is impossible, the rumour was started by Kristy (OhGodAGirl) in this interview;

What do you guys think? Is this even remotely possible? As far as I've seen, anything above 15TH/s needs some exotic form of cooling and has insane power usages with much lower efficiency.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Selling bulk 1080ti's on: February 19, 2018, 11:12:42 AM
I am selling used NVidia GPU's, all GTX 1080 ti models due to needing fiat asap.
The cards have only been used for a couple of months and were run at 66% power and 65C limitation

Models are:
Gigabyte 1080ti gaming OC
Inno3D gaming & ichill 1080ti
MSI 1080ti armor
Gainward Phoenix 1080ti

The Gigabyte and Gainward models are very decent and overclock very well, they are 850/$1050 per piece.
The Inno3D and msi armor cards are 830/$1030 per piece.

Minimum order 4 pieces, sale preferred via trusted escrow agreed upon by both parties.

Shipping worldwide from Europe, outside of Europe will be more expensive.

PM if interested.
4  Local / 한국어 (Korean) / Looking for help creating an account on Bithumb on: November 21, 2017, 10:11:42 AM

I'm looking for someone from South Korea to make an account on Bithumb. They require South Korean phone number for verification.
Anyone here who can help me out? I can offer some BTC.
5  Economy / Economics / JP Morgan betting on Bitcoin on: September 16, 2017, 12:58:45 AM
Apparently JP Morgan has been full of shit concerning their stance on bitcoin.

What am I looking at, you may wonder? A Bitcoin ETF on the stockholm exchange. JP Morgan has been trading actively since manipulating the price, although Dimon has recently announced to believe bitcoin is a fraud.

Even before Dimon's intentional bullshit spreading to manipulate the markets this was already visible and known by some:

4chan post about this:

I think it is important that it is known how shameless these corporations are screwing everyone.
6  Economy / Speculation / What will bitcoin do in market crash 3.0? on: August 29, 2017, 08:49:22 AM
The trading market is moving like no crisis ever happened, many are convinced we are overdue for a global financial crash 3.0.
In such an event, will people move towards BTC like they run to gold and silver in such times? Or will bitcoin suffer as well?

You can see the ~8year bull bear cycle in the SP500 index, all it needs now is a trigger to turn the trend around.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Starting new mine - some questions on: May 26, 2017, 09:19:15 PM
I'm investing with my business in a new mine for altcoin, zcash and vertcoin on the side are the first to be mined.

I'll get started with 20 1080ti's, 4 gpu's per rig, corsair hx 1200 psu, asus h81m-plus with G1840.
The choice goes to NVidia since it has to be able to serve as a CUDA AI system when shit would hit the fan.

I'm thinking of getting APC 1200VA voltage regulators for every rig. Should I invest in UPS's as well?

I'm paying ~0,09/kWh fyi.

Nicehash tells me RX 580 has a slightly lower ROI but I'm hesitant since the resale value is lower (at least locally).
