21  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANNOUNCE] Satoshi Dice simulator (includes martingale bot simulator) on: June 06, 2012, 04:03:43 AM
https://github.com/Someguy123/satoshidice-php

This was just something I've quickly set up, everything you need to know is in the README, and the code is (mostly) documented in comments aswell.

function.php contains the PHP version of the number generator that satoshidice uses, aswell as a game simulator that uses that function.
simulator.php is a martingale bot that uses the function.php dice simulator and is mostly customizable.

Released under UNLICENSE (public domain) so you can use it in any way you want to without issues Smiley
22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Satoshi dice is broken? on: June 02, 2012, 11:08:14 AM
Okay, I had won quite a lot last night and was at 50BTC (most was unconfirmed), now this morning I have 17BTC and all my previous TX's to satoshidice don't even exist, what the hell happened? Did someone doublespend them so I got non-existant BTC? I've heard of a few other people so far having this same issue with "stuck" transactions from them...
Pretty annoyed at losing 33BTC of my winnings T_T
23  Other / Off-topic / [Project Idea] CaptchaTrader for BTC on: May 19, 2012, 07:08:46 AM
A lot of people may know of sites like CaptchaTrader which allow users to solve captchas or buy captchas for cash. But one thing that could be nice, would be being able to request payment in bitcoin.
If someone were to create a captcha proxy (their API allows requesting captchas and verifying whether the answer was correct or not) that would simply take requests from users and forward it to the CaptchaTrader API, then they could verify the captcha and pay the user in BTC for solving it.
They have an API documentation here: http://www.captchatrader.com/documentation

From what it looks like, their request API should be pretty suitable for doing this if nobody is going to completely re-create the project.
The owner of the Bitcoin captchatrader will be able to cash out to his/her paypal/alertpay or obtain an amazon giftcard for $5 with the CaptchaTrader credits they obtain from their users filling in captchas.
24  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANNOUNCE] BuyBIT - Unofficial .bit registrar on: May 11, 2012, 12:08:03 AM
Buybit is officially closed.

Original Post
Quote
Many of you probably know that dot-bit's registrar is waaay overpriced (1.5BTC for a .bit? seriously...), but also that buying and configuring a domain with namecoin directly is a PITA.
So... I've started work on BuyBIT, the soon to come .bit registrar, I'm expecting to have it ready for an open beta by next week.
My Account
.bit Domain Info
Front Page

Just a little sneak peak for now ^

Most of the code is done, I've got a nice clean bootstrap template as you can see, and security will be a top priority as well Smiley

FEATURES:
  • Will be costing around 0.5 or maybe 1NMC for a domain (that's only 0.008 BTC at current exchange rates)
  • When purchasing a domain, you'll be able to choose whether to pay in bitcoins (currently only 0.01BTC for a domain), or you can get it slightly cheaper if you buy with Namecoins.
  • Security is a top priority, SHA512 passwords, prepared SQL statements, NMC/BTC wallets are properly secured on the server, all transactions are logged in the database to allow investigation, etc.
  • Full control over the domain, you can transfer a domain from your current Namecoin wallet into BuyBIT for free. To configure it, for the moment I'll allow selection between a Nameservers, or just directly onto an IP, so that people can configure the domain similar to as they would for a .com or .net, and also I'll have a JSON setting for advanced users who want to put more specific values.
  • POSSIBLY an on-site market for auctioning/selling your .bit's to other users for BTC/NMC
  • More to come...
UPDATE 24/05/2012 - Just got lulzplzkthx to do a quick bugscan of the site... looks like this is going to need a LOT more work. Probably won't be open til next week.
Okay, I'm redesigning it, the current code is full of dirty hacks and everything.
TEMPORARY BETA: http://buybit.sv.gd/
Don't complain at me if there's any issues, it's just a quick hack-up of a site at the moment, but it still works anyway.
A new version is planned for the next few weeks

If your domain is "stuck" and hasn't been processed for 24 hours, please PM me and I'll issue you a refund
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / LTC Testnet on: March 13, 2012, 07:13:42 PM

26  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANNOUNCE] +Coin Web UI for Bitcoin and its forks. on: March 04, 2012, 06:15:01 AM
I've been working on the +Coin webUI for a while, my main purpose was originally for a namecoin management system, though I lacked time and effort for it, eventually I needed a webUI for bitcoind due to bitcoin-qt's instability while using p2pool (0.5.2), so I continued my work on it.

(Psst. If you submit a pull request and accept it, you'll get some BTC if your github is linked to tip4commit)

So far, it currently has the following features working:

  • Listing transactions
  • Sending coins
  • Compatibility with any *coind that uses the bitcoinRPC (inc. Litecoin, Namecoin, Feathercoin)
  • In standard PHP, so it's easy to deploy onto a normal webserver (Great for managing coind's on your VPS/Dedi)
  • Colour coded send/recieves, and colour coded confirmations
  • A really nice bootstrap interface
  • The ability to list how much BTC/whatever is in an account, and then to list the addresses contained in the account.
  • Able to display confirmed/unconfirmed balance (All transactions are "confirmed" at 6 in +Coin, including generated ones. I haven't bothered to separate it yet.)

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANNOUNCE] Liteco.in is back! - Litecoin Blockchain Backups and Block Explorer on: February 12, 2012, 10:20:06 PM
I'm now running these main services for Litecoin:

Litecoin/Liquidcoin Block explorer

Nightly Blockchain Backups (.tar.bz2)

Just a quick question to the litecoin community: Which forum software would you prefer (free)? MyBB, phpBB, SMF, or other?
And if anyone has any idea about Xenforo conversion, as in xenforo->phpBB or other forum software, I'll be able to keep all the old posts and threads from the old http://liteco.in

If you have any problems, post here, or contact me on irc.freenode.org - #bitcoin - I'm someguy123.

30  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling... on: February 05, 2012, 07:16:50 PM
Anyone else here have bitcoin gambling issues? o_O
And can anyone list some known legit sites for bitcoin gambling?
I've been doing a lot of bitcoin kamikaze recently... but something funny I notice:
http://i52.tinypic.com/1674idx.png
I can almost ALWAYS do that on freeplay, but never when I bet even 0.01...
31  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bitcoin Kamikaze on: January 25, 2012, 10:18:32 PM
How much have you guys lost to Bitcoin Kamikaze so far?
I started out with a 0.5 deposit... going up from 0.05 bets at a time, jumped to 0.25 at a time and eventually got to 3BTC, thought I was a smart-ass and tried 0.5 at a time and then lost it all.
I threw in another two 0.5 deposits... both ended with terrible luck...mostly losses...
So that's 1.5BTC loss from me so far...I wish I took that 3BTC when I had the chance o_O...
32  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANNOUNCE] Open source MtGOX PHP API Class on: January 25, 2012, 08:09:39 PM
I've been using this class I built for a while, so I thought I'd release it to the bitcoin community as I haven't really saw many others like this:
https://github.com/Someguy123/MtGOX-PHP-API

Feel free to try it out, if you find any problems, just post in this thread here, or let me know on IRC: irc.freenode.org #bitcoin-otc #bitcoin - someguy123

Code:
Donations are accepted:

LQC: vbh3c3nCdWCnBq7gDNrJeXSt8WMg9Y64x8
NMC: N5omEguYDarGmHt2R23DFvkXYU49yPAAKN

If the class has helped you in any way, please donate to any of the addresses above ^ even a bitcent is fine :)

NOTE: This class is still using Version 0 of the MtGOX API, this means it could be deprecated at any time, but works right now as of 26/07/2012 despite the API changes
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Ever had bitcoins fly out of your wallet without you actually sending them? on: January 23, 2012, 10:20:16 PM
Well, today I had something worrying happen to me, I saw 3.6BTC get sent from my bitcoin client without me doing anything, which ended with me tracing IP's linked to the address, googling the address and everything.
The answer is, I couldn't figure it out, BUT I was thinking that I might have redeemed one of my addresses privkeys into mtgox... Even though there was no signs anywhere in mtgox, eventually after 6 confirms it showed up.
So tl;dr; If you see bitcoins disappear from your wallet... you might wanna check your mtgox...especially if you've ever redeemed your privkey there.

34  Other / Off-topic / I hate paypal. on: January 21, 2012, 08:04:55 AM
If anyone here is from the bitcoin-OTC IRC channel, you've probably heard me a million times, but here's my story:
Just thought I'd say, paypal are assholes, I got into a dispute for what I thought at first was a chargeback from someone I sold BTC to, but nope, infact after the disputes were over, I saw that they were labeled as "MIP Investigation" meaning Multi-Item Purchase. Sure I can understand them locking my account over a few more transactions than normal... BUT the worst part is, it took 14 days to get any sort-of reply from PayPal after they put me into 10 different disputes with Steam, and people who I'd received or sent money to (INCLUDING GIFTS/PAYMENTS OWED).
After they solved the disputes... they decided that even though the transactions were all good, nothing suspicious... they wanted to reverse them anyway.
So, at the moment I've been limited for over a month, I've got my steam account suspended (that's $300 of games down the drain), and since the payments to steam have now been reversed, I'm expecting my account to get fully removed soon.

Take a look at these screenshots if you want and you'll see the hell I've been through:
Steam suspension: http://i51.tinypic.com/30lorhd.png
Steam gift reversal: https://i.imgur.com/1pEAQ.png
A nice list of my disputes: http://i51.tinypic.com/9i4tbp.png
-$40 balance... http://i55.tinypic.com/2q8wkr4.png
And then a crapload of full reversals, but still limited...: http://i54.tinypic.com/2jakfvb.png

And THIS bullshit is why I like bitcoin... your account can't be frozen for no apparant reason and then having all your transactions reversed...
35  Economy / Marketplace / Selling MTGox Code grabber IRC Bot on: January 20, 2012, 02:35:03 AM
Okay, well, I've built a bot in PHP which can detect MTGox codes in any sort-of message on IRC, from any channel the bot is in, and then automatically redeeming the code via the mtgox API, and then returning the status to the owner via PM to let you know whether the code was valid or not, what code it was, and which channel/person it came from.

It also supports withdrawing via the MTGox API using "!withdraw BTC 0.00001" and it will output the code generated for that amount of money if successful. (This function is secured as owner only, though it can be made public if you really wanted it to be, probably a bad idea though...).
I'm selling the code for the bot for just 1BTC 0.5BTC maybe lower, once you've bought it, you can do whatever you like with it, keep it private, make it open source, or share it privately with others, just as-long as you don't sell it as your own.
If anyone wants to test it out, feel free to join #someguy123 on irc.freenode.net
I'll refund any amount given to the bot for testing if I've seen that you posted the MTGox code which was worth the amount.
36  Economy / Trading Discussion / FXNet is dead... took around 2 BTC from me on: December 20, 2011, 12:12:29 PM
Anybody know what happened to it? I still have 2 BTC stored in it, and since I can't cash that back out, sucks...

They say they've been under attack for a long time now, it's ridiculous...
37  Economy / Marketplace / Offering Tech Support for most computer problems (Linux/Windows/Others) on: April 25, 2011, 09:40:40 AM
I'm offering tech support over IRC and through Teamviewer or VNC for BTC, I can help with malware(viruses if you prefer to call it that) problems, or troubleshooting certain errors, and driver installation help, and maybe certain other problems, just ask me and I can tell you if I can help you or not. Also for linux users, I can help with compiling a custom kernel, and getting your hardware to work properly in linux.

I'm generally on MSN 24/7, so feel free to add me if you have any questions (email is imaged to stop spambots)
I am usually available on IRC on irc.freenode.net idling in a lot of channels including ##linux, #bitcoin and #bitcoin-dev, my nick is generally Compgenius or Compgenius999, feel free to PM me on IRC at any time.
