2  Economy / Speculation / What affects the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: September 03, 2020, 09:20:41 PM
The prices of cryptocurrencies have been going up and down since it was created and there are so many factors that can make the price fluctuate that way and i will be identifying such factors below:

1. Supply and demand: The higher the demand the higher the price. If theres an high demand for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies you will definitely see and increase in them. We all know that the total supply of bitcoin is just 21,000,000. This makes bitcoin very scarce and it will definitely see an increase in price following the rule of the lower the supply the higher the price

2. Market speculation: Speculation provides the market with liquidity and the aim of this speculators is to make profit. So many people see cryptocurrency as a speculative tool because its easy to create fear in people about a coin and so many people will FOMO in.

3. Regulatory and Government issues: The government of every country are always finding a way to regulate all cryptocurrencies which is not possible. The fact that they dont like the decentralized nature of it. Cryptocurrency is definitely not accepted in every country in countries where it is accepted and probably the decide to regulate and ban later. This can affect the price of cryptocurrencies badly.

4. Community size: The scale of the group is what significantly impacts the Bitcoin price or every other crypto. A wide group is signalling that there is strong interest for this coin. Many businesses and individuals use it, and that broad adoption encourages more growth.

5. Ecosystem development: Many cryptos have their issues even the head of it all Bitcoin. Presently scalability is the main challenge of bitcoin, This means the network is unable to deal with the rising amount of transfers that users submit. Many cryptos have their issues too and these issues can cause a decrease in the price of them

8  Economy / Trading Discussion / FOMO In Crypto; How to identify It on: June 13, 2020, 11:30:49 AM
FOMO implies Fear of Missing Out. This is a serious issue when it comes to crypto trading and it has at least happened to you in crypto before because we all dont want to miss out and start regretting later. The crypto market remains young and unstable hence the price of most coins largely depends on how many people believe in their potential

How can you Identify FOMO
1. The first symptoms of FOMO is when you see so many people buying the coin and you start thinking all of them cannot be wrong. You also jump inside without doing any proper analysis
2. When you start saying to yourself you should have gussed the price would go up
3. When you start saying that there must be something about this coin that other people know and you dont know.
4. It would be silly not to try. Let’s see how much money I could make.

As you can see FOMO traders prefer to pursue the crowd rarther than sitting down and doing their own personal analysis of how far the coin can go.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Next Industry to Embrace Blockchain is Aerospace: Accentur on: July 03, 2017, 07:22:04 AM
Blockchain is quickly becoming one of the most useful technologies in the world, like banking, medical and supply chain industries taking advantage of its unique capabilities.

The latest industry to embrace Blockchain technology is aerospace. Accenture Director of Aerospace and Defense, John Schmidt, recently identified Blockchain as the next great innovation in airplane maintenance at the 2017 Paris Airshow.

The difficulty, according to Schmidt, with engine maintenance, for example, is that data for the engine is not stored in a single accessible location, making improvements and evaluation difficult.

However, "Blockchain is in effect a single federated ledger that everybody who uses and touches that engine could use it as a single point of truth of what has happened to the engine,” Schmidt said.

Because of the unique advantages of Blockchain technology, information could be disseminated to new maintenance engineers, providing faster and more reliable turnaround times for repairs, and a more concise history of engine maintenance.

Apparently, the industry itself will need to embrace such helpful changes, but Accenture sees this as the wave of the future for aerospace.

Schmidt also said:

"It is something we can see clearly in terms of the benefits, and we effectively have a patent pending on how to leverage Blockchain in the aftermarket."
