2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN][PRE-SALE] 🔥 IceBreakerAR – Augmented Reality Social Platform 🔥 on: May 09, 2018, 12:08:25 AM

Summary

IceBreakerAR will bridge the virtual world with reality by providing a revolutionary tool that removes the core barriers which prevent humans from reaching out and interacting with one another. Users of IceBreakerAR will have the confidence to approach each other and be equipped with conversational tools which can assist initiating the interaction in an innovative and fun manner, from whether the user is seeking a relationship, friendship or networking/business opportunity. In addition, all user data is secured in the blockchain thereby providing the highest
standard of security and integrity.

The Problem

Dating, meeting and career networking websites and apps have not undergone a meaningful evolution since entering the market in the early 2000’s. The most recent progression is simply porting the website onto smart devices, but the mechanism has largely been passive. Users must create a profile, scroll through innumerable matches, strike a conversation and attempt to move the online connection to the real world. In addition, they suffer from the same core issues.

Solving the Problem

IceBreakerAR‘s solution is comprised of four components working in unison to provide a fun, secure and seamless user experience via:

IOS/ANDROID APP | AUGMENTED REALITY | RETAIL PARTNERSHIPS | BLOCKCHAIN

iOS and Android
Users have the option of a quick profile creation to get up and running as quickly as possible, or a more detailed profile setup for higher quality matches. Once at least one profile from either Dating, Friendship or Networking has been created, the user can begin to scan the vicinity for matches. The user can also seamlessly switch between categories to scan if they created a profile in multiple categories

Augmented Reality
The application will provide an augmented reality experience for the user by enabling them to scan their surroundings for other IceBreakerAR users who meet or exceed their defined match threshold percentage. The match results are displayed in an augmented reality fashion where an avatar represents the matches, displays the match percentage and top likes/dislikes. This avatar can be customized with a selection of free or purchased accessories.

Retail Partners
To further the value added experience for users, IceBreakerAR will form retail partnerships to provide benefits to the User. Users benefit from discounts, retailers benefit from increased sales, IceBreakerAR benefits from happy Users and Partners, it is a win-win-win paradigm.
• Retailers who provide a modest discount for IceBreakerAR Users will show up on scans
• IceBreakerAR provides retailers a zero risk model that will attract net new sales
• Only after an agreed to level of sales to IceBreakerAR users will the retailer pay a portion of the sale to IcebreakerAR

Blockchain usage
1. Security
Traditional servers or data are generally centralized, making it a likely target for malicious attacks. By looking at the Equifax’s security breaches and other cybersecurity concerns arising in recent times. Instead of having a single or limited # of server’s that hackers can attack, decentralization via the blockchain greatly increases the difficulty. The more participants/nodes in a network, the more copies of the data there is. Therefore, if you want to tamper with the data, you will need to attack every single node on the network and alter all of their data simultaneously. Not only does blockchain make data tamper-proof, it is also hard to breach. Every “block” on a chain contains a certain amount of data, and when that block gets filled, much like a USB drive, it is encrypted and sealed forever. To get the full picture, hackers will need to hack not just the current block, but also every block before it. This is not only technically almost impossible, but it is costly, thereby reducing the incentive for malicious activities.

2. Redundancy/Disaster Recovery
Essentially we would have the same set of data distributed across the world, we wouldn’t need to worry if we lose a node. This provides data resilience to IceBreakerAR, which gives peace of mind from any data corruption, server downtimes, backups, etc..

3. Overhead/cost reduction
Having a decentralized network of nodes to maintain this ledger allows IceBreakerAR to offset and offload hosting, security, and maintenance costs. It removes a lot of the costs of IT staffing, Dev Ops, and infrastructural overhead.

4. Accountability
With all of the above in place, you can be sure that everything that is logged or deployed on the blockchain, is accurate, and true.
All of this results in the ease of trust, and ease of the ability to do business in a transparent manner, without needing to trust the counter-party. You can simply leverage blockchain technology to let the data and facts speak for themselves. Do currently systems and data infrastructures work? Sure, but they are not perfect. They only exist the way they do because there hasn’t been technology that could come along and offer a vast improvement until the introduction of Blockchain.

5. Permissioned Blockchains
To only authorize a limited set of readers and writers, so-called permissioned blockchains have been recently proposed. Here, a central entity decides and attributes the right to individual peers to participate in the write or read operations of the blockchain. To provide encapsulation and privacy, reader and writer could also run in separated parallel blockchains that are interconnected.

6. GDPR Compliance
With our blockchain partner we will be able to encrypt our storage with 256-bit AES encryption as well as have the ability to remove data upon request from an individual user permanently

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / chaincoin-synx-safeexchange-cannabis-coin New Pump and hold or False hype SCAMS on: July 20, 2017, 01:42:15 AM
Read this if you want to know exactly how CHC and SYNX false hype went down and how the whales made off with all the money and actually still continue to milk these coins even now. I also include some of the newer false hype coins. I am not saying these coins won't go places or recover I just think people should be informed then you can react appropriately.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining guide how to build open air rigs - tips tricks and links to everything on: July 18, 2017, 12:43:33 AM
I have been on this forum for around a month or two.  I finally feel pretty comfortable with all the knowledge I gained.  But it required alot of painful reading and asking questions no one wanted to answer.

I have put together a guide on building multi GPU's with most of the information you need.  It is aim at people almost totally new to the game.  Here is a link to the guide.

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@evilmonkey/4-mining-guide-how-to-build-multi-gpu-open-air-rigs-riser-cards-tips-psu-selection-etherium-zcash-zec

It contains links and information on everything you need really.  My previous guides #1 #2 #3 were all about getting started in mining then moving to mining individual coins with command lines and the third one is all about configuring windows.  I provide batch files etc that automatically turn off windowsupdates and all thsoe settings that interfair with mining.

Would appreciate any feedback on the forth guide incase I put any info that is not quite correct.

I would have killed for this info when I was starting out.  IT would have saved me about a months worth of reading I hope it helps other out.  I will post it in the main forum too.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Some tips for surviving 1st Aug bip 148 uasf and the current mining prices on: July 11, 2017, 04:38:48 PM
Seeing alot of panic from miners as well as investors.  It is both good and bad.  I have had a few friends that just got into mining that purchased a few GPU's go a bit dark on me.  I wrote this for them mostly but hopefully if you are feeling like giving up minging or powering down your rigs for a bit have a read.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Some riser advice please on: June 20, 2017, 10:34:32 AM
Question about risers.

I have an older Gigabyte motherboard its a P67-xxxxx running and i5 CPU.  It has two full PCI-e slots and I am currently running two 1080 ti FE on it as an open air rig.  It also has one small PCI-e slot.

I have a third card running on an even older motherboard that only has one PCI-e slot.  I want to get rid of this and get all three cards running on the open air rig.

I know I can probably do this with a riser.  Is there any gotcha's with slightly older motherboards?  At this stage I dont want to purchase a new motherboard if this one is going to do the job.

I was looking at this Riser.

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/TISHRIC-VER006C-Blue-PCI-E-Extender-1x-to-16x-PCI-Express-Riser-Card-60cm-USB-3/2942230_32808611545.html?spm=2114.12010615.0.0.JffWvK

I have a 1000W PSU connected to this rig.  (slightly overkill I know but huge shortage of plat PSU in newzealand i didnt have a choice).  I was thinking if I get the 6 pin riser I can plug a connector directly from my power supply to the riser as I have heaps of extra connectors rather than using the adapter that comes with it.  Is this advisable?

Or is it better to use the adapter and connect it to one of Sata power connectors?

Is the linked version the type I should be going for there is several to pick from.  What do I need to look out for when buying off ali express? I am limited to buying from there as I can't really find them in my country.

Thanks
