1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cyber-heisted myself for (1.001 BTC) on: August 08, 2017, 06:20:37 AM
Tis indeed a seriously sad day for yours truly. I went ahead and pulled out the majority of my holdings on Bitfinex to this locally controlled Core wallet address 1GAehh7TsJAHuUAeKZcXf5CnwuGuGgyX2S

Sadly, the second it received it's first confirmation it was on its way to some fat happy hacker's wallet here

*Not sure if as a result of recently purchased USB stick that was unfortunately plugged into my Core system or if the private key on that addy has been compromised for sometime now but definitely first strange behavior like this I've noticed from any addy's held in this node's wallet.

/facepalm, further investigation reveals that this addy has always behaved this way so apparently it's been compromised for sometime Shocked  time to do a full wipe on this puppy and start from scratch sadly.

Where the heck is the dang Ctrl-Z function on this thing!! :/

4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Bitcoin thread is a scam. Buyer Beware!! on: April 13, 2015, 10:18:39 PM
Just a heads up people.  The bitcoin forum under the domain name of is a complete sham.

Seller by the name of FastTrader selling multiple pieces of mining gear as well as BTC to UK customers when in fact the entire site is nothing more than a snatch and grab.  Sadly I was stupid enough to throw a bitcoin at one of the S5's Fasttrader had listed.

Used Escrow with site admin until unit is delivered and it looks like Admin and FastTrader are one and the same (given that my account has now been banned since posting 'time to call a spade a spade').

*Proceed with caution!!
5  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] 51 shares of AUTOTRADE asset as listed on Crypto::Stocks (9% off IPO) on: June 25, 2014, 07:21:45 AM
I am regretfully having to place 51 of my AUTOTRADE shares from Crypto::Stocks up for sale.  I say regretfully because of all the stocks I've invested in this may just turn out to be my best call but the sad truth is I just gotta.  Anyhoo, details of savings below.  Serious inquiries only, no Newbie accounts please.  Escrow cool if you cover fee's.  (I'm assuming Escrow fella would have to have a CS account as well to verify I'm giving you what I say I am).

.07752 Value at current IPO price of 0.00152
.07000 bit-cents (my price)
.00752 bit-cent savings. (~9% discount)

No promises being made here other than the shares themselves.  If you think this is investment advice and/or I'm offering any sort of promises you best be moving along.  While I do have a good deal of faith in this stock as we all know anything can happen.
6  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-06-13] BitFury Pulls 1PH/s of Mining Power from on: June 13, 2014, 10:10:55 PM
"Following the news that was nearing control of 51% of the bitcoin network’s hashrate, industrial bitcoin mining facility operator BitFury has released a new statement saying that it has moved 1.5 petahash of its hasing power out of the major bitcoin mining pool."

*Looks like at least one major player is doing something to address the 51% issue.  Others likely to follow (cough cough petamine)

Greetings fellow crypto-freaks.  Created this thread to do a little reputation building.

If we have done business in the past I would very much appreciate your posting a bit of feedback here when you get the chance.
9  Economy / Securities / WARNING: Crypto::stocks currently not allowing withdrawals on: May 30, 2014, 06:34:56 PM
Anybody considering purchasing any digital assets off of crypto::stocks needs to be made aware:

DVC, LTC, and BTC wallets are supposedly offline (preventing one from withdrawing) even though it seems to be accepting dividend payments from asset owners for shares held any attempt to withdraw your coins will currently fail.
