1  Economy / Currency exchange / Dwolla for BTC on: May 08, 2013, 05:52:19 AM
Hello,

MTgox denied my verification request... again... so I'm looking to use alternate methods. I have $50 in dwolla that I would like to exchange for an equivalent BTC. I understand if you are leery about doing that all at once, I am myself. So we can split it up or use escrow (I'm a noob to the whole escrow thing though... so a little hand holding would be appreciated  Tongue), one way or the other I'd like to use my dormant Dwolla funds for BTC.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Anyone willing to sell a small amount of BTC? on: May 07, 2013, 09:16:51 PM
Hello, I'm looking to buy something for around .3 bitcoins, but right now I only have .25. Mtgox denied my verification request AGAIN, so while I resubmit my info and make sure every bloody pixel is completely visible, is anyone willing to sell around .05 BTC on paypal? I understand if you would be leery about that, but that's why I want to keep it small, because I hope people are willing to sell for around $6, using paypal or dwolla.

Thanks, feel free to post in this thread or message me if you're interested
3  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Considering purchasing Avalon chips on: April 29, 2013, 08:13:23 AM
Crosspost from newbie... didn't realize I was so close to breaking out of new user prison when I originally posted this Smiley

I'm considering buying 10 Avalon ASICs chips. Each one, according to the seller, has a hash rate of 282 MH/s, for a total of 2.83 GH/s. This is drastically more than my current feeble hash rate, mainly considering that my computer was made for gaming and I haven't optimized it for bitcoin mining, which I've really just started to get in to.

So if someone could explain to me what process I would have to go through upon buying these chips in order to have a functioning mining rig, and whether or not it's worth it, that would be super helpful. Keep in mind I have a very limited knowledge on how to build PC's as my computer was prebuilt, though I have some friends that can help me with setting it up.

Well I'm not able to post in mining yet, so I guess I'll ask this here.
