1  Economy / Gambling discussion / What are your most common superstitions? on: October 21, 2019, 03:35:25 AM
Let me preface this by stating the following
When betting on Bustabit for example, I know :
  • It's 100% provably fair and can't be manipulated
  • Each round is independent of the adjacent ones, no previous results dictate the next
  • There's no math to keep the 1.975x average in place, if it's 10 games under 1.5x in a row, this doesn't change the likely-hood of the next being over 2x

That being said, I think it's fun to humor myself and entertaining to play into superstitions.
i.e if it's 10 red in a row, I'm usually more likely to increase my bets as the gamblers fallacy plays out, although I'm completely aware of the math behind it.

I think superstitions are fun to have and entertaining to laugh about, it makes it more interesting.
Some gamblers treat them in a serious way, however I think that's the wrong approach to superstition when gambling overall.

What are common things you're superstitious about when gambling?
2  Other / Meta / Signature Campaigns causing lifeless posts in Gambling section on: October 20, 2019, 08:14:32 PM
I've recently noticed a lot of people posting in the gambling section who are participating in signature campaigns,
that post lifeless stuff which makes no sense and basically just taking words from the topic / thread in random order.

They'll restate whatever the original poster said in their post, give some generic response that's barely coherent, and post.

EXAMPLE :

Quote
What I saw from the image is winners and top waterers used more Bitcoin to water over rounds of Wolf.bet's wager contest. It is easily to explain if we look at the growth pace of Wolf.bet site during 2 recent months. Fastly grown recent months, that actually attract more new users and more waterers, that in turn triggered ea h has to use more money to wager to be competitive.

What the fuck does this mean?
I hope the campaign managers disqualify people like this who try to jumble random words together while putting 0 thought into actual content
It ends up causing half the gambling section to not make any sense or posts to have any conversational value.

This isn't an attack towards the campaign managers btw, it's directed towards certain participants themselves who half-ass their posts to cheat the signature campaign terms

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How I lost almost 300,000 USD in seconds on: November 16, 2017, 02:13:48 PM
Bought 329 Segwit2x Futures on Bitfinex.
Sometime around the 6th.
Took a gamble yes I know, but after looking into it I believed Segwit2x would be the chain we all use as the real Bitcoin
News comes out that the fork is being called off, by the time i hear it about an hour later I check the futures price and it's trading at a whopping 90$ each
Moral of story :
Don't ever put almost half your portfolio in something risky like a forks futures
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Biggest investment oppertunity of this year / 2018 - SALT Lending on: November 06, 2017, 12:59:28 PM
Salt I don't want to go too much into detail as their whitepaper does that for you,
https://www.saltlending.com/
Basically they're a lending service instead of credit score they use your Crypto as collateral for loans, credit score doesn't matter.
Some noteable people on their team - Erik Voorhees, Shawn Owen, etc.

Currently writing this salt is $2.52

On their site you can deposit salt and use to pay off a portion of your interest,
the thing is the site values it at $25 though.

So one the platform is launched, which they already have millions on millions of dollars wanting to be lent out (Source : Twitter)
The market pressure to increase closer to $25 will be enormous.
Also, They announced Crypto Credit cards coming soon early 2018
Sounds pretty ambitious but with a team like theres and the progress they've been making, It will definitly happen.

Platform is launching this year

I predict salt to be at least 10$ by the end of the year.
I believe salt will explode similar to binance, (BNB did 0.1 cents to 2.80)
Which will only put the market cap 450M, current market cap ~115-120M
Surprised this one flew under the radar this long.

EDIT : Massive 350 BTC Buy wall at 0.00035140 Price
9  Economy / Auctions / [WTB] Bitcoin Gambling Site on: October 29, 2017, 07:43:24 PM
Would like to buy a BTC gambling site,
Budget ~$25,000-$50,000
(Can spend more would ideally not like to though)

Looking for a Player VS player site, but am open to any.
Not looking for your shit scripts (overfeat, etc)
If you give me a bad vibe / seem sketchy, I won't deal with you.
Keeping it professional only, known escrow we both agree on will be used.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Has anyone here entered the Adex ICO? on: June 30, 2017, 05:14:48 PM
Closing pretty soon, thought it was an interesting project.
I didn't put too much into it (10 ETH)
Just want to see where they go with this, could take off some Smiley
