1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Funds basically stuck in breadwallet b/c of high transaction fee on: December 21, 2017, 04:38:05 AM
I have about 0.93 btc in a breadwallet that was collected over time in much smaller transactions. The fee breadwallet recommends to move this coin is ~0.6 btc. I’m moving to cood storage and am in no hurry. I’d like to preserve as much of the funds as possible with a much lower priority transaction. Can anyone offer some advice on how to best accomplish this? Am guessing I will have to import my seed into something else? Thanks much for any suggestions.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / UN-Official KnC Titan - News And Discussion Thread on: March 31, 2014, 01:58:30 PM
I'm going to be following some of the developments on Titan, am enthused about the project so far.

Feel free to post news you find, as well as opinions on development, impact on the scrypt network, etc. etc. What I'm really trying to do here is branch off of the KnC main BTC thread and focus on their scrypt product here.

For people who don't feel like keeping up with the whole thread, I'll be modifying the OP to add things that seem like significant developments. For now, the list is short...

KnC Announces Titan @ 100 MH/s (https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-79)
Performance Specs Revised to 250 MH/s (https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-80)
Performance Specs Revised to 300 MH/s & Mini-Titan Option Added (https://www.kncminer.com/categories/litecoin-mining-hardware)
3  Economy / Securities / btc-arbs: High-Performance, Pooled Arbitrage Fund... Or... ? on: March 25, 2014, 01:50:37 AM
Alright, full disclosure. There is already a thread on btc-arbs (see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=474787.0) but I hate that it is in the Gambling subforum, so I'm starting another here. I don't really 'gamble' with coins in the conventional sense (poker, slots, blackjack, etc. etc.) so I never would have come across the site here on the forum because I don't typically visit the gambling subforum.

And I know the Ponzi and scam accusations are already rampant and will be repeated here, and I totally get the skepticism. I've also read that SecondMarket staffs an 11-person trading team, so there has to be at least some money in arbitrage out there with all of the volatility and drama in the exchanges. I'm not entirely convinced it's not a scam because of the too-good-to-be-true factor, but for the last three weeks my experience the site has been predictable. Deposits have posted promptly, earnings have been logged reliably, and all of my withdrawals have been handled within a matter of hours. The daily trading summaries have been consistent with market activity (click on the day in the "Results" section of the webiste), and while I've not experienced any daily gains over 4% like the site advertises, even a 1% daily return is worth the risk for me. My plan is to make regular withdrawals until my original deposit is recouped, and then let the money ride on the house. Again, I realize this could be a total scam and my money could disappear tomorrow, but the majority of my BTC is locked away in cold storage, and with a small amount of appetite for something higher-risk, I've placed a little bit of BTC here. If its a scam, its a pretty elaborate one, so I figure the guy has at least earned a little bit of my money if he disappears with it. Anyway, I'm openly posting this as a referral link, because if you had not heard of this website and would like to play around with it, I'd appreciate the referral. But if you'd prefer to trim off the 'referral/nightengale', you won't hurt my feelings. Don't deposit more than you can afford to lose:

https://btc-arbs.com/referral/nightengale

I'll update the thread with my experiences as time goes on, and if useful information comes to light, I'll add updates to the OP. Only in the wide, wide world of Bitcoin would I consider utilizing a site like this, but who knows, in 2 weeks I've already made 15% of my investment back.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Stuck Bitcoin-QT Transaction? on: February 23, 2014, 06:45:44 PM
I sent this out as my wallet was syncing, and now it seems to be stuck. The info on it is:

Status: 0/unconfirmed, broadcast through 9 nodes
Date: 2/23/14 11:18
To: 16sUE8RhUm2XqN6EYn8HiQzE3w5FiXrJrS
Debit: -1.00 BTC
Net amount: -1.00 BTC
Transaction ID: 7295099e476cd9e4b64a2ac51e6e76ec55cf06afc59a2358bf84af9ac01a41b4

Doesn't show up in Blockchain.info... Not broadcast to enough nodes I guess? I'm guessing I can't cancel this, so is there any way to rebroadcast, or... I'm hoping this coin isn't lost?

Thanks for any advice anyone can offer.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Auto Switching Pool for CPU Coins? on: January 31, 2014, 02:38:11 PM
I know the CPU coins are based on a few different algos, but does anyone know of an auto- or manual switching pool for quark-based coins, or other CPU algos? Similar to Multi-Pool, or Middlecoin or HashCowa.

Would really love to see a service like this.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin-QT **VERY** Slow to Acquire Blockchain in OS X Mavericks? on: January 29, 2014, 03:02:57 PM
Was told I may have posted this in the wrong section of the forum -- perhaps here is better?

Thanks for the response, have 39 active connections, nothing in the console window. I really think that it's something with Mavericks, because it only seems to make progress when I'm around the computer, using it. When I leave it overnight, doesn't seem to be progressing. I have an older MacBook as well, and got up to date in a few days on that machine. Other people have to be experiencing this same problem... Only other thing I can think of is that this machine has that FusionDrive option, which could somehow affect how QT is running...
7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Bitcoin-QT **VERY** Slow to Acquire Blockchain in OS X Mavericks? on: January 29, 2014, 12:16:25 PM
I've a feeling this may be something on Apple's side, but I've gotten a brand new iMac 6 days ago and installed QT and started the blockchain download. 6 days later, I still have 45 weeks to go. I'm on a decently fast internet connection (+50 Mb). I've configured the system to disable sleeping when the screen goes off, and I've disabled the "App Nap" feature for Bitcoin-QT. Am beginning to feel like Apple has something against Bitcoin on the Mac side as well.  : /

Does anyone else know of a way to speed this up or what I'm doing wrong here?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Quark and Frozen Miners with 50+ mh/s -- HOW?!?! on: January 27, 2014, 04:46:00 AM
Ok... On the pool where I mine, I'm running about 20 mh/s and I'm not even close to being in the top 15 miners. There are guys with 20, 40, and up to 100+ mh/s... I've looked into azure and other cloud services, and even Amazon EC2, and none of those seem cost effective...

So how are these guys pulling this off? They can't all be botnets. Are they system admins? How?!?!
9  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS - 3x Non-Functional but RMA'able Gigabyte 7950 - Min. 0.25 BTC Each on: January 20, 2014, 05:03:44 AM
I had a motherboard that ended up going bad and it burned up a few of my Gigabyte 7950s. This caused me to re-evaluate the scale of my mining operation and I'm looking to scale back and sell them.

I have RMA'd a card through Gigabyte before, and they do not require proof of purchase for the process, feel free to check for yourself. RMA'ing all three that I have probably would not fly with Gigabyte however. So the deal is, I'll sell them for a discount and buyers can then submit them for RMA.

My minimum price is 0.25 BTC each. Will sell to highest offers. Please register any interest here in this thread. Happy to use neutral 3rd party escrow. Thanks!
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Best Quark Mining Software for i5 CPU? on: January 19, 2014, 10:32:21 PM
Right now just using the general release version of minerd and curious if I can get a little more performance out of my i5? What do you think is the best quark mining software for my processor and what kind of performance increase will it give me? I'm getting 60-80 khs per core right now... Thanks for any suggestions!
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best Proof-of-Stake Coin to Invest In? on: January 18, 2014, 06:50:51 PM
Is PeerCoin the de facto answer here, or does anyone have strong opinions about another Proof-of-Stake coin that could overtake PeerCoin's market cap?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Most Profitable CPU Coin to Mine? on: January 17, 2014, 01:46:42 AM
Since I'm asking for advice, I'll volunteer that I'm mining Frozen right now.

Is there any good resource to determine what the most profitable CPU coin is?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alpha Technology Viper Scrypt Miner List of Orders on: January 04, 2014, 01:50:52 PM
EDIT: Looks like Mux has created a much easier deal that will update itself and total the ordered hashing power. I'm going to abandon this and refer everyone to his website:

http://alphat.emux.fr

OLD POST:

14  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] KnCMiner Jupiter -- In-Hand on: October 26, 2013, 04:22:22 AM
Running 0.97 firmware and stable at ~525 GH/s. Happy to use escrow. Please respond here or PM with any reasonable offer.
15  Economy / Scam Accusations / BitSyncom Deserves a Scammer Tag on: August 26, 2013, 03:06:37 PM
It won't get anyone ROI, or their money back, but right is right and BitSyncom should get a scammer tag.

Please go here add feedback to his trust summary:

16  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS - 3 Klondike Miners / 50 Avalon Chips - Steamboat Batches 3 & 4 on: August 06, 2013, 11:41:14 AM
I have a total of three Klondike K16 miners for sale from Steamboat's group buy / assembly service. Full assembly and hosting of the units has already been paid for. My orders include 32 chips from Stramboat batch 3 and 18 chips from his batch 4 (with 2 spares in case of faulty chips). I'm asking for 10 BTC 9 BTC for all 3 miners, to include the costs paid for the chips, full assembly and hosting. I would prefer not to split up the order as I will be giving control of my Liquid Synergy account to the buyer as well. This is no reflection on Steamboat -- if you're familiar with his operation, he's doing an incredible job. You can reference his thread for further information about his project:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=192916.0

Please PM if you would like additional information or are interested to purchase. I'm willing to escrow until control over my Liquid Synergy account is transferred to the buyer.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 5 LTC Bounty - Get 4+ cards recognized on MSI Z77A-GD65 [SOLVED] on: August 01, 2013, 01:23:09 PM
Apologies for the cross-post here, but I'm dying to figure this out.

Have no clue what I'm missing here. I have an MSI Z77A-GD65 and am trying to run 4 Gigabyte 7950s on it. I have the exact same board running 6 cards on a different rig, but on this one I can't get Windows to see more than 3. Haven't installed VC drivers yet, as you can see from the pic. Plz let me know if you have gotten around this or if you know of a definitive fix.

Also have a thread running on the litecoin forum:

https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,5318.0.html

Thanks for any help anyone can offer -- the 5 LTC bounty stands!
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / WTF Avalon? Ship the Chips! on: July 29, 2013, 02:58:55 AM
Have many of the early bulk chip orders been received yet?

Have no clue what the deal is... Figured Avalon would come through on these but am utterly disappointed thus far.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Sapphire 7950 Stability / Hashrate Issues? (Scrypt) on: July 24, 2013, 08:46:07 PM
I have one of these and have tried everything under the sun to get it running stable over 600 kh/s on scrypt.

Does anyone else have Sapphire 7950s reliably running over 600 in a set-it-and-forget-it kind of manner?

I found a decent price on these on NewEgg and pulled the trigger, and now I'm worried it was a mistake...
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Max # Cards for Scrypt Milk Crate Rig? on: July 23, 2013, 08:12:03 PM
Just curious how many cards people have managed to fit into a milk crate style rig?
