Hi,

Recently I thought about how you can make Bitcoin web projects more secure.

I came up with the following idea:
- Encrypt your php files (e.g. with http://www.sourceguardian.com/)
- Create a hash of every financial sensible db entry (transactions, account balances etc.) and check the hash on every access

Benefits:
If a hacker gets access to the database he can not add new transactions or change existing ones because he does not know the algorithm of your hash. Even if he gets access to the entire server he can not get (at least not easily I think) the hash algorithm because the php files are encrypted.

Furthermore you can add an alarm when one hash is invalid that causes a stop to your bitcoin transaction handler or something like that.

What do you think and has somebody experience with encryption of php files? (In a trice I found no good open source tool for doing that)

I am wondering if wallet accounts are long term supported because there are some voices out there who are saying that you should not use accounts for your bitcoin applications (handle accounts better by yourself/database...). But I like accounts because they are incredibly handy.

I want to list ALL transactions of my bitcoin server but I can not figure out how to skip the optional "account" parameter in PHP.

I tried the following code snippets, unfortunately none of these is working:

$bitcoin->listtransactions("",5000,0);
$bitcoin->listtransactions(null,5000,0);
$bitcoin->listtransactions(5000,0)

Quote

listtransactions [account] [count=10] [from=0]
Returns up to [count] most recent transactions skipping the first [from] transactions for account [account]. If [account] not provided will return recent transaction from all accounts.

Ein kanadischer Bitcoiner hat einen Weg gefunden die beim Bitcoin Mining erzeugte Wärme sinnvoll zu nutzen. Er trocknet Erdbeeren damit. Das was dabei rauskommt nennt sich dann Bitberries.

I like the idea of accounts in the wallet although some people dont like it.

Some questions

1) Will accounts be supported long-term?
2) Is there a maximum of accounts a wallet can handle?
3) Is there a possibility of deleting accounts? I would like that.
4) Can it be a problem if the wallet expands to unusal filesize > 100mb, >500mb because of the high number of addresses / accounts ? How do big services like Mtgox handle this?

hier gibts ein gebrauchtes t.bone SC-450 Studio Großmembranmikrofon und auf den passenden Röhrenverstärker Tube Ultragain 100 von Behringer inkl. Kabel (XLR Mikro zu Preamp, XLR Preamp zu Soundkarte, Preamp Stromkabel).

Das Mikrofon hat eine kleine Delle an der Metallaußenwand, ist aber noch voll funktionsfähig da die Membran nicht beschädigt ist. Es liefert kristallklare Klangergebnisse wie am ersten Tag!! Sonst würde ich auch keinen Treuhand anbieten!

Habe das Mikrofon einige Zeit eingesetzt und war mit der Aufnahmequalität immer höchst zufrieden! Unschlagbar in der Preisklasse, auch keine nervigen Zischlaute. Auf Anfrage sende ich euch ein paar Aufnahmen.
