22  Economy / Digital goods / Bitcoin Hashrate Predictions/Investment Calculator **UPDATE BETA 1 RELEASE** on: June 16, 2015, 05:24:45 PM
Hello Ladies and Gents,

Iv'e come up with a pretty handy Network Hashrate predictions excel sheet. It will cover Q3'13 to Date!

Information Included

  • Hashrate over set timeframe
  • Difficulty over set timeframe
  • Averages of Increase per Gen, per Quarter
  • Sums of increase over Quarters
  • Profitability over time
  • Expected earnings
  • Trade Volume per Quarter against price
  • Difficulty over set timeframe

ADDED THIS WEEK!(s)

  • Investment Calulator

This will allow you to plop in a goal value and a set time frame. Setting parameters such as electricity cost and considering predictions it will return a required capitol investment.

EDIT**
Everything is working with the investment calculator, except time frame. This is rather difficult to calculate considering this is all backwards calculated from your initial profit goal. More will be added to this calculator but i wanted to get it out there for you guys to see/give feedback on!

What would you like to see? What information what be useful to you?

Some thread feedback might help to provide me with useful tools for upcoming updates within the calculator.

Compensation

I am selling an enterprise version that's completely open source- basically you do with it what you want (edit - manipulate). I am also selling a non-open version for much less and leaving maintenance + updates to myself. This version also locks out the data tables where much of this math is being done. Each user is provided a serial number.. this serial number is linked back to a key that i can provide at any time if you wish to upgrade to the unlocked sheets.

EDIT***

I strongly recommend purchasing the unlocked version if you wish to take my math and improve upon the calculations to better suit your needs.

Otherwise I do updates weekly for the locked version taking user feedback in mind!

  • BTC0.2 for an unlocked enterprise edition
  • BTC0.02 for an individual locked version.

Let it be known I do not yet have a solid individual copy yet available. Everything I have currently is open. Given someone does purchase this tool, let it be known that distributing it for free on this forum (any forum for that matter) in another thread would be against terms of sale.. and would hence void the possibility of any future business.

EDIT**

The individual copies are available going into BETA 1.

I'll do escrow if needed. Og is the man.

Feedback appreciated guys!

Welp lost 25mBTC in a hand that technically i won.... Highest full house. Handed the winnings to what i would assume is an admin bot.

Lets not forget about the countless shitty reviews these guys don't seem to mind popping up. And the lack of defense they seem to exhibit.

Hey guys, considering selling my S5 setup shipped to anywhere USA maybe even Canada. Anyone care to make an offer? Its in good condition. I swapped out the loud ass fan for two coolermaster fans. Its reasonably quiet now, no louder than my pc.
25  Economy / Computer hardware / BITMAIN ANTMINER S3 FOR SALE -USA- BTC ONLY on: April 23, 2015, 04:14:23 PM
Hey guys,

Wanting to exchange BTC out for my bitmain antminer s3's. I have three and all three are up and hashing right now with a total pool speed of 1.26TH/s and 0.20% HW Errors. Very happy with these units overall. Even got the wireless to work with no antenna (sitting close to the router).

Asking 0.40 or best offer per unit. Will take 1.1 BTC if buyer takes all three and buyer pays for shipping.

You can always make an offer too  Roll Eyes
26  Bitcoin / Pools / BTC Guild users help plssss on: April 20, 2015, 12:42:17 PM
Hey Guys,

Recently got back into mining btc, this time with asic hardware. I have (3) S3's rockin away right now. Its been roughly one night so far and i'm mining with BTCGUILD.

Anyways, when i go to settings to set up my auto-withdrawals... the receive address i copied... btcguild tells me is not a valid bitcoin address -_-

Anyone ever encounter such a silly thing?
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ASIC Scrypt mining on: April 13, 2015, 06:44:20 PM
Hey guys,

Its been a long time since i set foot in here. Bailed on GPU mining a Looooong time ago. Well i'm looking into asic for mining scrypt. Thing is, I've looked at several units and none of them seem to be even profitable at current difficulties...

Am I correct in seeing this or am i miss-placing a decimal in the coversion?

Next question if the above question is true... Why the hell are people even still mining if its not even profitable?

I'm Stumped.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Pool Variance - Fast-Pool.com Dogecoin - Getting ripped off? on: March 18, 2014, 10:08:54 PM
What type of Pool Variance does anyone see with this pool? At this point i'm pretty sure i'm being ripped off. This pool has around 15% of the network hash rate. It should have relatively consistent pay outs no? Well it doesn't. FAR from it.

I average around 1,100 Khs with my miner, on occasion a third party joins my workers and we score around 1,700 Khs combined.

If you use the basic calculator ------>   http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/dogecoin-mining-calculator/?h=1100&p=500.00&pc=0.14&pf=0.00&d=1025.04600521&r=250000.00000000&er=0.00000125&btcer=620.00000000&hc=0.00

My lowest constant hash rate should get me around 5,400 at a diff of 1,025. I watch the Diff very closely and it usually tops out around 1,300 and drops as low as 900 in the past two weeks.

The most i have received in one day is around 2,000. MAYBE 2,000. I understand pools have a variance of payouts based on network hash and total chance... but i mined Litecoin for sometime and my payouts with wemineltc.com were very consistent. VERY consistent.

In essence, is this normal? I would say no.

Also one thing of note, ill watch the round shares climb all the way up to 650% at times. More often than not, it climbs to 250% consistently... This cant be normal. I would be fine with this is my round payout were the same.. but its not. I can't reasonably wait 6X (around 6 hours of dead mining).

I considered joining the largest pool. Doghouse i believe. But i registered with the pool and never got an email to verify registration. So i'm stuck getting robbed.

So is this just a shitty pool? OR are they robbing people? All of the dogecoin pools seem so shady as they all use the same layout. Anyone have a recommendation?

29  Economy / Computer hardware / NVidia GTX 780 for trade or BTC on: March 11, 2014, 05:06:10 PM
Title says it all guys, I miss mining and I'm ready to resume it haha. I have an ASUS DCU2 OC GTX 780. Only 4 months old. Works great for a factory overclock card. Iv beat out the Titan in benches.

Lookin for trades of AMD cards obviously Tongue

All offers considered,

Specifics

Either a single R9 290/280

Or two 7950's

7970 plus something?

Let me know what you think guys
30  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS: Sapphire 7950, 5850, 5870 on: September 03, 2013, 03:24:12 PM
Hey guys, ultimately i'm getting out of mining. Trying to just build a gaming pc but i want something a little above and beyond my 7950. So i'm not sure how i'm going to go about this. I guess im looking for buyers, in ltc, for the 7950 or/and the other two cards. I have around 60 ltc as well so if someone wants to trade the 7950 and some ltc for a card i'm interested in i'm cool with that too!

I'm looking for:

-hd 7970
gtx 680
gtx 770
possibly gtx 670

sli configs of lesser card might be considered but not likely. Im getting away from dual gpu and heading towards a more powerful single gpu
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Pooledbits.com LTC pool acting funny?! on: May 02, 2013, 10:51:10 PM
Heys guys, I recently started mining ltc with pooledbits, wondering if anyone else is using them?

What I don't like so far is they my payouts are either delayed and or way the hell off.

For instance.. The first three hours of mining I was awarded .2ltc, which is about right on par for my hash rate. But the 15 hours after that I only acquired a measly .001ltc every hour after. Then it spontaneously jumped up to .68 after 18 hours, which again is sort of on par for my hash rate. But in the last 24 hours iv only gone up to .77ltc. This is roughly 1 day 18 hours in. I should be around the 1.5 area and have already received a payout into my wallet. Is this pool just managed poorly? I especially don't like that I can't find ANY contact info anywhere to the operator. Frankly I would feel a little more confident about devoting my computing power to someone that exists..

Also our pools hashing power calculates to a block probability of around 57 minutes.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is happening to crypto currencies on: May 02, 2013, 04:21:48 PM
Has anyone else notice the value of btc and ltc dropping dramatically over the last 24 hours?

Is there anything that gives reason to this claim? If you own bitcoins or ltc stop selling!!!!!
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Pool showing really low hash rate, Cominer showing expected hash rate on: April 30, 2013, 04:51:19 AM
Hey guys, pretty new at mining.

HD 5870

"
Cgminer --scrypt -o -pooledbits.com:8337 -u username -p password --shaders 1600 --intensity 18 --worksize 256 -g 1
"

I have cgminer and am attempting to mine ltc from a pool (pooledbits.com)

Basically I'm getting high hardware failure. In the 10 accepted I had 0 rejected and 340~ HW (30 minutes)

My pool is only showing 16Kh/s and cgminer is showing 400~.

I'm guessing the low hash rate on the pool is due to the hardware errors. Why on earth would I have hardware errors?
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / cgminer -litecoin on: April 30, 2013, 01:44:17 AM
Hey guys, sort of my first time using cgminer.

I have litecoin-Qt installed and the block chain downloaded. I have a worker setup for a pool.

But i'm not exactly sure how to setup cgminer. Am i suppose to put it in a specific directory or is there a config file i need to make to point it to the litecoin folder?

Help appreciated guys!
35  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Power requirements- power supply question on: April 28, 2013, 10:01:43 PM
Alright guys, I have a gigabyte 990fxa-ud3. It has 2 pci16 slots 2 4x slots and 2 1x slots. Someone told me that 1x slots will still work with mining? Litecoin specifically. Are there any other speculations other than power that would stop me from running 6 cards? Can it still be done in windows or is Linux a must?  My goal would be to get 6 cards on this board, I'll use the extender cables with powered molex attached. Anyone see any problems with this?

Second can I run dual power supply's on one system? Rather than shelling out for a 1300+ watt power supply? I have a decent 80plus bronze GX650 right now, if I snagged one more of these I think I could run 6 5830's. my main question is how to wire that in? Wire the remote on the motherboard to the second power supply? Or just jump it permanently?

Any feedback appreciated. Thanks guys!
36  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / HD58xx Mh/s output and power consumption on: April 28, 2013, 06:53:35 AM
Hey guys,

I just bought a 5870 and should have it Monday. What type of Mh/s has anyone experienced with this card? Iv seen a lot of variation (300~500). The person I'm buying it off of claims 500Mh/s.

Also the next few cards I want are going to be 5830's I think because they seem power efficient/cheap for the Mh/s output. Same question for those I guess. What type of power consumption and speed do we typically see with these?

P.s. the 5870 is sapphire.
37  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS: Crucial M4 SSD 256GB or Trade on: April 27, 2013, 01:17:07 PM
Hey guys, trying to sell a brand new crucial m4 ssd. I paid about 230$ for it 6 months ago. I'll take 175 trade value or 150$ btc or ltc.

For trades the only thing I'm looking for is video cards. You know the drill

58xx series cards. Anything else will require special consideration.
38  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 running 6 cards or 4 cards? on: April 25, 2013, 08:57:48 PM
Hey guys a I have a nice Gigabyte gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 with an AMD Fx-8350 and 16Gb of dual channel XMP memory. I am trying to get a hold of a few nice radeon cards, currently im picking up a HD6870.

Question one, iv seen what theoretical hash rates are but what are some real numbers you guys have mined with?

Second has anyone ran 4 cards in this board? How about 6? Obviously the more cards i can stick in one machine the less machine i will need to run.

Any input appreciated guys!

p.s. I ordered a 50gh/s from butterfly labs a short while ago. Assuming I ever get it... I will ultimately move to litecoin or namecoin with this rig once asic destroys bitcoin any forseeable issues with that? I know next to nothing about litecoin or namecoin except one thing i read that asic cannot process them which makes them a last hope for gpu i guess.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Butterfly labs youtube video on: April 25, 2013, 12:18:19 AM
Has anyone else seen this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uez9AVfDQIg

A lot of people are doubting the authenticity of BFL and I being one of the batch 3 pre-orders for a 50GH/s sure hope not.

Obviously the video shows their 5Gh/s product working assuming its a legit video.

Is there any speculation that this video is fake in some way? I can see some doubt as to there not being any of the 25Gh/s, 50Gh/s, certainly not a 1,500Gh/s model being showcased as working.
40  Other / Beginners & Help / A newbie board.. really? Butterfly labs 50Gh/s on: April 24, 2013, 03:32:22 PM
Must I really squabble in the depths of this newbie forum?? Well so be it.

I recently got into bitCoin mining a month or two ago (way too late apparently). As I am efficient at data mining, I learned a lot very quickly about bitCoin and the process of mining. Likewise the low scale mining i was doing with my nVidia card was borderline useless, but it did allow me the opportunity to get my feet wet.

I do not have any direct questions that will yield direct or theoretical factual answers. I'm looking ahead to the future where the bitCoin potential value will be, and how much more difficult it will be to obtain them due to the mining community soon to be flooded with ASIC hardware.

Well i'm a product of my destruction. Last night I put an order in for a 50Gh/s model of Butterfly Labs equipment. I was told that it will ship in July and that current orders are expected to ship as early as next week. I'v seen a few demo video's of people testing the hardware. So July is the magic date for me. Where the difficult lies three months from now will strongly determine what i will be able to mine at that given time.

Two things. Where do we realistically expect difficulty to lie with the hardware coming out? Iv seen some analytical data by users on this very forum putting estimates together 6 months ago saying we would be in the 100M difficulty area right now. Those were not accurate... Obviously the ASIC hardware release has been delayed but at that same time, Avalons hardware is three batches into the market right now. From the information I received from Butterfly labs my order is batch three as well. This means there are already thousands of ASIC product out right now currently crunching numbers.

I think we are over-estimating the market of ASIC right now. Since almost none of the companies are releasing actual order data (i'm assuming to not scare miners away from buying there product), there is no real way to calculate the amount of hash power that will hit the market with these devices. Unless someone has raw data that can be proven? As far as I know Avalon shipped 300 in the first batch, 600 in the second batch, and I don't know about the third that is in progress.

The minirig everyone keeps raving about that's suppose to super inflate the mining community can't even be ordered anymore. I'm guessing because the availability of chips is dwindling? Or the unit doesn't yet work. From what i understand some of these units HAVE shipped. If you look at he difficulty graph over the last few months its almost tripled! I'm guessing its due to the Avalon release and not sheer volume of people who "all of the sudden" picked up mining considering its barely profitable as it is based on exchange rates without running a large scale operation.

What are your thoughts on difficulty?

What are your thoughts on where its headed?

Do we really think difficulty will still peak to 100M like some "experts" say in the next few months based on the fact that ASIC hardware is already on the market and hashing away?

Would it also be safe to say that GPU hashing will be extinct (as cpu was pushed out initially by gpu) as a result to ASIC, hopefully dropping the difficulty down somewhat?

Also bitCoin value has a lot to do with the demand for it. That been said, as difficulty increases would it be wrong to assume value of bitCoin also increase as the work to create them becomes more and more difficult. This is a trend that exists right now though they may not directly correlate. It is fair to say as the difficulty has gone up dramatically over the last 4 months... so has the value..

Let me have it people Smiley

Oh and i'm Tony btw. I hope to become a bigger part of this community over time!
