1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / idAx.mn is horrible exchange, do not use it. on: October 09, 2018, 09:51:41 AM

In last few days I have had the worst experience with this exchange and I want to share so others wont have to go trough this.
The exchange is called idax.mn ,yes idax.mn not idex.

I saw that token of interest had a decent volume there so i decided to deposit, which went very well but then i noticed something off about this particular token trades . Trades where fake and done by bots thus the volume was fake. Ok , this was frustrating but it is nothing new in crypto world, since there was no way my order is gonna go trough with those bots, I decided to withdraw. To my surprise after I wanted to withdraw, they ask for my ID. This is unseen, the token value was few hundred dollars. And i did not sell and I did not buy anything on their platform, there is no legal reason for them to ask my ID.

I tried contacting the support, after about 4 emails back and forth, they did not understand the difference between " withdrawing" and " depositing". Either they did not understand English ( english support btw) or there was bots. After I got more aggressive, they told that i have to do ID nevertheless.

Since I am an EU citizen, my KYC goes under GDPR and with line of GDPR in this case they are most likely breaking it by forcing me to submit KYC and they are not explaining why they ask ID in this situation. Nevertheless they did not react to GDPR as well. I could not find the location of them, but possibly it is Chinese so they cant be touched by any foreign law.

I dont have problem with KYC in general but in this case there are several RED FLAGS. They have fake volume, horrible support, and no reason for ID verification in general.
There is a high chance that their side business is ID selling.

Thanks for reading and be careful.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are there any upcoming ICOs on WAVES platform? on: September 11, 2018, 12:01:00 PM
Hi,
do you know of any ICO projects which are currently running or are going to use WAVES platform?

Or even a source where one can find such projects, so far i have been unsuccessful finding such source.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BECT ICO's of February and March on: February 03, 2018, 02:54:31 PM
God knows there are so many projects coming out every other day and it is hard to see trough the huge marketing cloud and sh*t ICO's also, thus I want to share with  my thoughts on the matter.

Best projects in February and March in my opinion:

1) CREDITS. Developing High volume, very fast and cheap transaction network. Starting 15 th of February. Like that they are showing their beta version on 5th February not after ICO, in my book this shows legitimacy. This project’s strategy is to whitelist first then run ICO thus they have a good chance of selling out quickly! Also like that they don’t have a outrageous cap , hard cap is 20 million usd.  Relatively small market cap combined with big interest suggest that it has good potential to grow.

2) FORTY SEVEN  Status -Running . Project is aiming for merging crypto and fiat worlds with new age bank located in UK. This project in my opinion is hugely overlooked. They have a solid team consisting from international members, mostly from EU countries. I saw their presentation in "RIGA Comm" block chain conference, looked good. Also all of their social media and forum threads are very well made, I mean they have incredible attention to detail and very professional attitude towards community.  Maybe some of you do not care about that, but I believe that that is a measure of project quality. Fintech is hot, crypto Fintech even hotter.

3) DEBITUM NETWORK Status- running. This one has already seen significant spotlight but I am sure that there are many who haven’t heard it about it yet. They are aiming to develop platform for small business financing. They are not going to finance businesses themselves but are developing platform to bring together borrowers and other entities needed for borrowing money. Solid team from Baltic States, interestingly this region is becoming a hot spot for quality ICO’s.

ENDED ICOS worth mentioning.

Pundi X ICO ended recently and was success. As far as I know they are unique, they are the only ones who are aiming to enable small and big businesses to accept crypto directly and this is needed in order to bypass VISA and MasterCard networks for everyday crypto purchases. Thus this project has a fundamental meaning in future crypto world.

WePower just sold out. Energy industry is one of those industries where block chain could be a game changer. Wepower is aiming to provide platform for energy companies to use for market tokenisation. They already have agreed for test project with Estonian (again Baltics states) , this factor makes me take them more serious than other energy projects and thus they are worth a look and possibly my investment when they hit exchanges.

P.S. If You found some of this information Helpful, I would appreciate if you Merited this post.  Grin

Note. I owe only PundiX tokens , considering buying some of other projects in this list.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BTC price and Bitcoin futures; today is important on: January 25, 2018, 11:46:50 PM
After the first part of big BTC price crash , one could find many posts in this forum mentioning  numerous reasons, blaming Korea and China but it looked that mostly people just didn't know because this crash did not have clear news flash which could explain the drop as it has been many times in past.  My explanation at the start was that bubble bursted and downtrend movement was exclusively because of psychological reasons. Maybe there is rational reasoning besides euphoric buying and fearful selling. Here is a chart of BTC futures launch and end dates.

The 1. and 2. period of upward movement could be explained by anticipation of future launch and following sell of after their launch. When CBOE expired there was a sharp drop and thus we could see the same today. What do you think guys, do Futures could have enough volume to impact BTC price so dramatically as in drop of January 16? And how significant Futures is to BTC market overall?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How to tell if the coin is minable or not ? on: November 25, 2017, 01:39:32 AM
Hi, I am complete noob when it comes to mining.
I want to learn about it, thus the question- how can one tell if the coin can be mined?

Is there an easy and fast way to determine that ?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Etoro seems like a huge Scam site. on: September 12, 2017, 10:13:25 AM
I am shocked by this company.

They were the first "trader" which i decided to use everything was great until i had to withdraw money.

I originally put in about 250 Euros, which BTW is close to minimal opening position there.
After a while I decided that it is time to change Traders and withdrew ~400Euros.

First surprise was that i had to pay 25$ withdrawal fee. Ok, I swallowed it and was happy that my money is on he way. I used SEPA.
I thought that it was the end of this burglary  but No, after a while I received only 66 EUROS! I couldn't believe my eyes, how it is possible.

Now, i have contacted the support . But while I was searching , I saw that the contact methods are not made to resolve problems quickly  but to stall the process.
Also I am starting to have a feeling that this is their business - to scam people. The more I think about it, it seems the perfect way, because no trader can prove their positions if they do not keep separate logs.
The only thing one could prove is the money which went inside the trader, thus in the case of dispute ,they could fabricate your trades ( this is speculation for now) .

I started to research the legal means, and it does not seem promising. Cyprus basically has no official way to resolve this without  going to court. One can leave an official complaint or go trough private mediator this is crazy since it is EU and it should be much more regulated.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / What is the best trader for ETH ? on: July 23, 2017, 11:36:50 PM

Recently started trading ETH at Etoro and I am not impressed  with the options that Trader gives - the minimum and maximum loss and profit for trade is limited .
And as I was watching the market of Etherium , I realised that E toro always has lower price than other markets.
Also as I understand in the case of Etoro trader does not buy actual altcoins but something that Etoro supplies as some kind of cover for coins.

I am relatively new a this so I am asking for your opinion , is there better traders than Etoro and ideally which works with Ripple as well ?

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is the best source of news? on: July 19, 2017, 03:36:20 PM
News are pretty important.
I think that it is general knowledge that there are events which are affecting or might affect the crypto market situation .
Thus its important to have fast, reliable and objective source of relevant events.

Right now my information sources mainly are: bitcoin.com, this forum and recently vice news

Vice recently had good article : https://news.vice.com/story/bitcoin-and-ether-recovering-from-weekend-crash

Bitcoin.com has pretty unique news feed. But downside is  sponsored articles and i would like more depth ,analysis in market situation and ideally relevant news from China in English.

Which cryto currency related news are the best in your mind ?
