I downloaded a portable version of Electrum wallet from the official website. Checked it with VirusTotal service and one engine showed me that there is a trojan in the wallet. What do you think, is it true that the file from the official site may contain a trojan or is it a false positive of the Ikarus engine?  P.S. The Windows Installer version is clean, but the Standalone Executable version also has the same trojan. |

Today my acquaintance told me a cautionary tale about how he encountered a scam in the face of swap.transit.finance service (all the information I needed he provided me with). He decided to do a swap on this service and move USDC from the BSC network to the Plygon network. Everything looked as usual, he made the approve and was about to confirm the swap. As usual Metamask window popped up to confirm the swap and that's when the most interesting thing started. Metamask wrote that it could not calculate the commission for this transfer and offered a commission of $105(!). And this is for the exchange of $300 USDC BSC to USDC on Polygon. Naturally, he thought it was a huge amount and canceled the confirmation. But he could not try again, as the service had already withdrawn $300 from his wallet, and he had no more. @Altcoin_Alerts posted a warning about hacking popular decentralized apps. It is highly recommended not to connect your MetaMask and similar wallets to these applications at the moment. ALERT: Couple of popular dapps including Sushi, Zapper, Revoke Cash & more affected a attacker injected a wallet draining payload into the popular NPM package !
Also, SushiSwap's CTO Matthew Lilley tweeted (X) that: Do not interact with ANY dApps until further notice. It appears that a commonly used web3 connector has been compromised which allows for injection of malicious code affecting numerous dApps.
