1  Economy / Service Discussion / North American hardware distributors on: April 22, 2018, 02:21:52 PM
Hello!

I am compiling a list of ASIC distributors and would love some feedback.  So far we've included the Canaan Creative NA distributors which includes BlokForge and MinerWarez.

Who else in North America should I include?  Looking for companies with a proven record of shipping products.  If you know of a company (or are affiliated yourself) please let me know.  If you want to shoot me a private DM, that works, too.

Cheers.
2  Other / Bitcoin Wiki / The mining pool page is in need of some TLC on: October 30, 2015, 08:47:34 PM
Good afternoon!

I would like to start updating the mining pool comparison page on our fair wiki, and would like to solicit comments before I begin.  I'll start by removing defunct pools from the list, but I would love to hear your thoughts.

Cheers.

4  Bitcoin / Group buys / [CLOSED] BITMAIN ANTMINER U3 USA GB on: October 18, 2014, 10:34:28 PM
Hey guys and gals!

I'm polling for interest in pulling together a GB for the newly announced BITMAIN Antminer U3 for US members.  I'll be purchasing up to 30 of the units myself, so we'll have at least 30 to move for other individuals.  Apparently 60 of the devices will weight about 220 lbs., so if their is enough interest we've got to run the math and calculate shipping into the cost of each unit.

Let me know if you are interested by responding to this thread or shooting me a PM (I ran my first successful GB here!) and I'll start the wheels turning--we'll order as soon as we fund the total cost between us.   I'm located in the central US, and have current capacity to package and ship the orders upon arrival in no more than 48 hours.  BITMAIN is stating that these will ship in the first week of November, and they generally hit their windows or ship earlier.

----Cost----

Shipping for 60 units is an additional BTC 1.49, which brings the total cost of shipping 60 to the US to BTC 10.  I'm not going to charge members any additional handling fee, so each unit is priced at BTC 0.167 (minus the final shipping to you in the US).

BTC prices be crazy, ya'll.  We're going to use a fixed BTC price of 0.2 BTC per unit (minus shipping) starting with batch 2.  If things go sideways we'll reevaluate that price!

----Shipping----

I prefer to ship via USPS, as I'm located less than a half mile from a major sorting facility in my area.  Once the units arrive, you can send me a PDF label address shipping from the 73013 ZIP code.  Other shipping methods can be arranged, but please PM me in advance if you plan on using something other than USPS!  I'll provide USPS shipping options in this thread as soon as I get a chance to sit down and do the math.

According to the BM site, each unit is weights slightly over 3 lbs.  I've sent an email to get the dimension of the packaging for each unit, which will allow us to determine the final shipping arrangements.  As soon as I hear back I'll post that data here.

----B1 Participants----

TracerX . . . . 30 units
Tuaris . . . . . 2 units
Anonymous . 2 units
Redrover . . . 1 unit
fullzero . . . . 5 units

5  Bitcoin / Group buys / [SOLD OUT -- SHIPPING] AntMiner Jumper Switch GB on: July 31, 2014, 08:28:20 PM
Hey guys and gals!

We're picking up a few (hundred) of Bitmain's latest gadget, the "AntMiner Jumper Switch" PSU plug.

I'm gauging interest in a GB for BITMAIN's PSU Jumper Switch which was announced today, July 31st.  This buy has been cleared for launch, and our order has been placed.  We'll hold units for anyone interested on a first-come, first serve basis.  I would like to have some units on hand myself, but the MOQ 500 is a few more than I would like to have lying around.

As I have no trust rating, I'll be happy to accept Verified Paypal accounts or escrow for this project.  If a reputable escrow provider is interested in throwing in on this one, please feel to PM me--else wise I'll hunt one up or take suggestions from the participants.

If you're interested in purchasing a few, let me know how many you would like in this thread (or via PM) and we'll sort out the details.  I'm located in the central US, and have current capacity to package and ship the orders upon arrival in no more than 48 hours.  BITMAIN is stating that these will ship at the end of August, and they generally hit their windows or ship earlier.

Pricing is calculated in US dollars per unit, and doesn't include shipping costs.  In the US you can send me a PDF of the postage, or I can calculate the rate and settle up before we ship.  We have numerous anonymous commitments, so barring any difficulties this GB is already GTG.

Payments must be made before we ship the product, but you don't need to pay in advance if you choose not to.  All prices are listed in USD below and will be priced via the Bitstamp market price when you decide to order!

-----Pricing-----

1-10 units . . . . $2.25 per piece

10-25 units . . . $2.00 per piece

25+ units . . . . $1.75 per piece

-----Shipping-----

We'll settle up on shipping in the next week when the product arrives, but I'll accept pre-printed postage from any major carrier (I prefer USPS or FedEx for domestic) or charge a flat rate in BTC.  It'll be cheaper to provider your own postage, and more convenient to pay the flat rate.

[Update Mon, August 11]
Each unit, according to BM, weighs 18.5g a piece, or about 0.66 ounces.  For US customer, that comes out to about 24 units per pound, which means we should be able to easily ship units in a Priority USPS flat rate box.

Now, what we don't know is how these devices will be packaged, or if they will be packaged at all.  BM has verified with me via email that each piece will be individually packaged.  The plan currently is to receive the units and determine how many pieces can be fit in a small/medium/large USPS flat rate box with appropriate padding to prevent units from being damaged.  I will provide bubble wrap and the like, as I have those items in stock now.  As soon as we determine how many units will safely travel in each box, I'll contact each buyer and make arrangements for shipping.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Free 250x250 banner space on WuLTC for LTC merchants. on: October 18, 2013, 10:07:40 PM
Hey people,

I've been working on adding additional features to the WuLTC directory and would like to start providing free banner space for developers, merchants and service providers.  If you fall into this category, shoot me an email or PM and I'll add your banner to the rotation.  This is a no strings attached deal, we're not looking for reciprocals or payment of any sort--just doing our part for the community and showing a little love to the people that make LTC go.

Feel free to drop me a line with any questions.  I reserve the right to bounce any creative that makes my eyes bleed or uses the blink tag!
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Is Namecoin.com dead? on: October 13, 2013, 07:25:10 PM
I presume it is, as the site has been failing our daily checks for a couple months now.  I see that Vince Torres hasn't posted since July, as well.   Does anyone know the story here?

Let me know.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Come give me your LTC product/services link on: June 07, 2013, 06:27:33 PM
Yes it's new--I'm tired of Litecoin directories popping up with little to no data. I'm going to schedule scan to verify each site is working and to list changes via, you know, magic.

I'll be adding content as soon as it comes to my attention, feel free to PM me or add it yourself. No premium listing or anything ridiculous. I have added a CoinURL advert to see how well that system works.

Yell if you have any questions, or if you would like to add something.

9  Economy / Service Discussion / Which website monitoring services do you use? on: June 01, 2013, 09:57:16 PM
Hey all,

I've been keeping up with sites on list that is growing increasingly larger.  Do any of you use site-monitoring services to notify you of changes in site you follow?  Google returns a ma-jillion entries, so I was hoping to get some feedback from this forum.

I'm looking for something that will email me, perhaps in daily digest format, of sites that have changed--it doesn't have to show me the actual delta, I just want to know if there has been a change.

Cheers.

I've got the setting to hide my email address, but it appears (at least to me) to be visible.  Can you people see it?
