8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Prominent Bitcoin Trader: Price is Heading Towards $100,000 in 2018 on: September 22, 2017, 01:44:05 AM
Dont be fooled by the slowdown in prices being experienced now or shitcoins branchin' out of bitcoin, the price will always grow regardless of the fuds by the government to temporarily slow down the progress.
Prominent bitcoin trader and investor Tone Vays demonstrated the potential of bitcoin price to surpass the $100,000 mark by the end of 2018, which would provide bitcoin a multi-trillion dollar market cap. For many years, financial analysts and researchers in both the cryptocurrency and banking sectors such as RT’s Keiser Report host Max Keiser emphasized the possibility of bitcoin to surpass $1 trillion in market cap if and when it succeeds in evolving into an alternative financial network against existing banking systems and financial institutions.

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/ccn.png

Based on the exponential growth rate of bitcoin regarding userbase, adoption, developer activity, trading volumes and market cap, a long-term price target of $100,000 is possible to achieve, especially if leading institutional and retail investors continue to endorse, embrace and adopt bitcoin. In 2017 alone, $90 billion investment bank Goldman Sachs and Fidelity Investments with $2.13 trillion worth of assets under management expressed their optimism toward bitcoin.

9  Local / India / Indian Government considering official crypto currency codenamed "Lakshmi" on: September 16, 2017, 08:03:31 AM
The Central government is considering a proposal to introduce its cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin.

Sources close to the development said that the proposal was discussed by a committee of government officials, and the panel found the idea of setting up and running blockchain for financial services useful.

Whenever the decision is taken, the cryptocurrency will fall in the domain of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and some Acts such as the Currency Act might have to be amended. Hence, this will be a time-consuming process.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I don't think bitcoin value will fall again this year, what about you? on: September 15, 2017, 04:59:25 PM
I'm of the opinion that this was probably the last big price crash bitcoin observed this year ,so if you managed to snag bitcoins when prices were low,I think you got a great deal.
The November fork will mostly be treated like the BCH fork when the value only fell a little because the fact is there is always buyers in the market.

What do you guys think?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Drop in bitcoin fees helping clear up backlog transactions? on: September 14, 2017, 05:44:50 AM

13  Local / India / How to securely hold your bitcoins (YOUR BITCOINS,NO EXCHANGES) on: August 23, 2017, 09:25:29 AM
If you are keeping your bitcoins in any exchanges (Zebpay,Coinsecure) your bitcoins are 100℅ not safe (Coinbase is much more secure than most, but don't take that risk, you can't do much if a hack happens and they get their wallet drained)

'It's your bitcoins only if you have your own private keys'

The best way to make sure to secure your bitcoins is use a cold wallet service, which meaning bitcoins stored offline where hackers or malware can't operate

1) Download electrum desktop client from
https://electrum.org

2) Next create a standard wallet by opening the application and (Important) write down the seed that gets created to access this standard wallet (This seed is what helps you access/recover your wallet in future if anything goes wrong with your computer etc)

3) Once the seed is typed in,you can set up a password to access, transact from your desktop client

4) From this point its fairly simple transfer all your bitcoins to your address found in Receive screen and you can rest assure that your bitcoins are safe in Electrum

You can also backup your private keys in a file, but I don't think it's that important since you have written down your seed

BONUS (How to operate Electrum On Android) :- Once you create your wallet you can now easily control everything from your Android (I suggest you don't create a wallet from Electrum Android client because it's buggy. Creating the wallet on desktop and using it on Android through seed recovery is the best manner to operate)

1) First download Electrum Android Client from
     A)  Play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.electrum.electrum

OR

     B) Apk link from Electrum website
https://download.electrum.org/2.9.3/Electrum-2.9.3.0-release.apk

2) Select standard wallet and choose restore with seed and type the seed which you created when creating the desktop wallet, this essentially ports your wallet to your phone and you can use most functions now on your phone itself without the need for your desktop

3) Create a six digit pin which will act as a double security when you send bitcoins etc and now you can have peace of mind knowing that you have secured your bitcoins.

(Correction - Dynamic fees can also be set in the Android client,so it is not an issue as I previously reported)

My main intention was to make you guys  aware of cold wallets (Offline wallets) and that unless you control your private keys or seed, your bitcoins are at risk at exchanges, hot wallets( Online Wallets)
So if you are a frequent trader keep sufficient amount in your regular hot wallet and transfer majority of your holdings to Electrum

Other ways are transferring to a paper wallet, although it's bit complicated,it guarantees max safety and through a hardware wallet like Trezor etc

Cheers
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / POCKETDICE = SCAM on: July 18, 2017, 10:31:45 AM
What's Happening::
Pocketdice is accepting Bitcoin deposits but not allowing withdrawals for every users(Check the comments in their site),this is fine when there is a problem they are facing, but its been many days and every complaint, enquiry is falling in deaf ears.
They don't even have the decency to reply or acknowledge the hell they are doing.I mean why they hell do you accept deposits,if your not allowing withdrawals
In my case I've tried to withdraw and it's been struck in processing for 5 days now, after I cancel the transaction since they are not sending confirmation link for withdrawal (After applying for withdrawal they send a confirmation message to your email)
I don't even want to start with their support no reply nothing
