1  Economy / Scam Accusations / CASIOK Marketing Services and Campaign Management SCAM Warning Thread on: September 19, 2017, 07:55:51 PM
I want to warn the community of a recent experience I've had with a user named CasioK.

Our company has been seeking a bounty campaign manager. Casio joined our Slack two weeks ago and reached out to solicit his marketing services and help. We initially agreed to a total of .5 BTC for bounty campaign management and other marketing services. He was very proactive and responsive in selling his services. However, once payment was the experience was the complete opposite. He delivered none of the services he committed to and I had to continually track him down for updates. I demanded a refund and he stated he was repay us. But unfortunately this never occurred.  It’s been two weeks.  He even threatened that if I report this to the community that there is no chance we will get repaid.

This was the last of the funds our business had before our presale and so he put our foundation in a very compromising situation. We are a non-profit foundation whose mission is to help others so every dollar is critical for us. It's especially sad when people take advantage of others that are trying to do good for the world. Now we are out of funds to complete our marketing before our crowdsale.  Sad

I know that I’m at fault for being naive and trusting him.  However, in my research he appeared to be a trust worthy guy. Looking back, I wish I would have initiated an escrow.

I warn everyone to not deal with CasioK and encourage others that has had a negative experience with him to share your experiences. His profile and our chat transcripts are shared below.

FYI, he’s known to use multiple profiles and have a team associates so be careful. Be cautious of the following accounts as well:
- kkjack789
- Lixer
- Rizky Aditya

If anyone has info about CasioK, let's please reveal him to protect the rest of the community.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / POLL: How much do you typically invest in an ICO? on: August 29, 2017, 12:54:51 AM

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Seeking Developer to Create HTML Post and Signatures for our ICO on Bitcointalk on: August 18, 2017, 09:47:17 PM
As the title states, I am seeking a developer to create a HTML post and signatures that we can use for our ICO on Bitcointalk.

If you have done this, please PM me.  I'd require to see examples of posts and signatures that you have completed in the past.  Compensation will be cash using PayPal, Cryptocurrency, or tokens from our platform upon release.

(Please note that we have developers on our team that could do this, but I'd rather not pull them away from the focus of completing our platform.  Instead, I'd rather pay another developer that has quickly done this in the past to help.)

Thanks in advance.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICO Wallet Storage on: July 20, 2017, 11:39:55 PM
Given the recent hacks with Parity (multi-sig wallet) and the impact to ICO's such as Dao.Casino, etc... I thought to start this topic.

To protect business and investor interests, shouldn't ICO's accept and store investor funds on a paper wallet?  In that way, it's the most secure.

Additionally, it's the least liquid wallet which is what we would want as an investor right?  It forces the startup to secure the funds and slowly leverage the funds necessary to build and grow the business (rather than quickly cash out the funds and potential impact cryptocurrency prices or scam us)?  Thoughts?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Choice of Coin or Token Smart Platform for Your Product / Service on: July 20, 2017, 10:17:23 PM
If you are looking to create your own AltCoin and ICO, what smart contract platform are you using and why?  For example, Ethereum ERC20, Waves, Omni, etc.

I'd love to hear people's thoughts and opinions on this including why you think it's a better platform.

10  Bitcoin / Project Development / [HIRING] Ethereum / Solidity Smart Contract Developer on: July 19, 2017, 10:37:54 PM
<Posting in this board as I didn't see a project development specific board in the Altcoin board. I apologize in advance.>

We are planning to develop and launch a new Ethereum based token and we need an experienced developer who can create advanced smart contracts for Ethereum using Solidity.

The right candidate needs to have extensive experience in Javascript and Solidity as well as having successfully launched smart contracts on EVM.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in this space; therefore, please provide information about your previous projects.  This would be for part-time paid contract development that could result in a future technical advisor role with tokens as compensation.

Ideal candidates will have:
• > 3 years professional experience as a software engineer
• Cryptography, Security, Bitcoin, MongoDB, Javascript
• Hands-on experience with implementing Digital Signature Algorithms
• Experience with smart contracts preferred
• Willingness to work on multiple crypto assets
• Apply blockchain security technologies (beyond the world of fin-tech and crypto-currency)
• Evaluate, analyze, and target weaknesses in cryptographic security systems and algorithms
• Design robust security systems to prevent vulnerabilities
• Previous smart contract architecture and development experience with other companies that have ICO'ed

Our team is comprised of ex-Microsoft professionals with over 10+ years of experience and are located in the United States.  Our advisors are also reputable individuals in their respective industries.  Our platform is near completion; however, the crypto space is one of the areas we lack experience and need assistance in.

We look forward to hearing from you!   Smiley

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / ICO Advisory / Consulting Firms on: July 19, 2017, 09:35:04 PM
While I know that there is no official playbook and tons of information about token sales / ICO's on the Internet... I thought it would be helpful to identify the advisory / consulting firms in this space for those who do need it.  The ones I am aware of are the following:
  • Argon Group
  • Cryptoassets
  • Tokenmarket
  • Tokenhub
  • New Alchemy
  • Cofound.It

Any others out there?  For anyone that has leveraged these firms, we'd love to hear your experience including payment methods (cash, tokens, etc.)

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / ICO Hosting / Consulting Companies on: July 19, 2017, 08:39:01 AM
For those that have or are considering launching an ICO, did you use or are you considering using an ICO hosting (or consulting) company such as the Argon Group, Tokenmarket, Cryptoassets, Tokenhub, etc.?

Are there ones that people recommend in this space?  Or do you generally think that they are not useful or needed when offering a token sale?  Thoughts and feedback are greatly appreciated.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / POLL: Factors for Investing in an ICO on: July 19, 2017, 12:06:50 AM
Out of curiosity, what is the single most important factor you choose when investing in an ICO?

I'd love to hear what influences you the most.  Comment if you want to rank the list or note the least most important factor.
