1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Post Scarcity Economics on: May 13, 2018, 03:44:13 PM
I have an idea for a coin concept that makes the leap from scarcity to abundance. It includes a storage concept I call a blockfield.

I'm not great at explaining things without a question answer format.

I can code a demo of the system (donations welcome) and I am willing to pay (from a portion of donations) for someone to convert the demo into a proper app.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Multipools are making you waste hash power because of delayed stats on: April 05, 2014, 02:43:11 PM
It appears multipools (ones that reference block explorers, instead of getting the details themselves) are using the difficulty of the SOLVED block instead of the CURRENT one.

The wobbly dips and peaks come from all the different difficulty handling algos. If you use a multipool you are missing out on the first opportunity to profit. And you are hanging around on unprofitable blocks. Not to mention the time delay for refreshing the stats.

Serves you right, to be honest.
3  Economy / Economics / DO NOT ALLOW TAXATION IN BITCOIN on: January 17, 2014, 01:12:52 AM
There is no incentive whatsoever for the tax authorities to redistribute coins.

They will own all of them.

Proof: Silk Road coins have not been redistributed.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [51PCT] Post Warnings for 51 Percent or Other Situation at Pools Here on: January 07, 2014, 06:11:57 AM
If a pool is approaching or over 51% please reply here.

Coin name
Pool name
Port number

Admin name
Pool URL
Pool Support URL

If you care about the value and usefulness of your favorite coin, get proactive!

The best solution for both coin value and coin health is to add hashing power to different pools.
This is true whether:
1. it is forked
2. a pool has too much hash power
3. the coin is being 51% or otherwise attacked by rogue miners
4. the pools are being DDoSed.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / CATCOIN FEATURES and DEVELOPMENT THREAD on: January 03, 2014, 01:44:34 AM
Keep the price discussions elsewhere.

Start thinking and building.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [BONUS] 100 CATS To pools with reserves and low confirms for withdrawal on: January 01, 2014, 02:30:53 PM
120 Confirms are necessary to protect the generation of new coins. Pools however should be running a reserve and sending coins from those reserves. 120 is necessary for block safety, but it's too long for withdrawal.

Many pools in other coins already do this.

100 CATS to the first few pools to change to this scheme.

As soon as 5 others match this offer.

Otherwise, I will lend coins to the first pool to do this.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Decentralized Exchanges on: December 31, 2013, 11:06:46 PM
There's FLUX and Counterparty Protocol.

Any others?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] Catmarket on REDDIT on: December 27, 2013, 04:46:18 AM
Hi guise.

It's open now.

Kitteh can come too.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BTC/LTC are dead to me - Too much Royalty and Worship - FTC, DOGE, WDG, and CAT on: December 26, 2013, 08:52:09 PM
Feathercoin, Dogecoin, Worldcoin, and Catcoin are my dream team.

Scrypt all the way.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] JediCoin and SithCoin - January 14th - Feathercoin forks on: December 24, 2013, 05:11:19 AM
These are not the coins you're looking for.

I am going to launch these twin coins. They have a limited lifetime and will be relaunched monthly or perhaps quarterly, depending on how well they are received. They are meant to teach people how to launch coins. I am very much pro diversity (FREE MARKET) and I despise any One Troo Coin cult storm troopers. However, the spectacular implosion of catcoin tells me people might want to learn how to launch and promote a coin. During the creation of the coins, you will learn:

- Github coin variables
- Launch strategy
- Pool maintenance
- Community building

You will work in teams and build a coin for a cause, a community, an industry, a project... and so on. When you complete your coin, it'll be up to you to keep it going. JediCoin and SithCoin will be coded to self-destruct at the end of the learning period.

If you'd like to contribute to this educational project send some feathercoins, dogecoins, or bitcoins here:

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Will the Real Slim Coin Please Stand Up? on: December 24, 2013, 04:30:10 AM
If you're going to start a coin:
Solomine for at least several days before setting up pools.

Reboot catcoin.
12  Bitcoin / Mining / Linux/CGMINER 3.7.2 - No access to ADL functions on: December 23, 2013, 06:58:15 AM
I used to be able to get temps and control voltage from CGMINER. This no longer works. I am using the 3.7.2 version before they pulled the GPU support.

I have to disable ADL with --no-adl to make it work.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mining solo with Network difficulty set to 16.6 M (but I am using doge) on: December 20, 2013, 05:46:57 AM
Doge difficulty is 317. Why is cgminer setting net diff to 16.6 M when mining solo? Also getting lots of rejects. But not at pools.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / DOGECOIN does not build on Linux on: December 09, 2013, 01:11:59 AM

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / To the butt munches attacking feathercoin exclusively on: June 09, 2013, 03:33:39 AM
You fools have met your match. By the time we are done, the word community will be synonymous with feathercoin. The techniques and tools we are developing will be shared with the whole cryptocommunity.

And another thing, there is no separation between consumer and producer in feathercoin. No heroes, no zeroes, just creativity and a storm of potential unleashed.

Everyone comes to build something.

Join us.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] BiggerCoin - SHA256 altcoin - Will release one month from now on: May 29, 2013, 12:02:53 AM
No premine.
High initial difficulty.
Reward based on distribution of coin.
Everybody and their dog will know about it.

No community.
No binaries.
One version then see ya.

17  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Proxy group buys for Avalon modules without case/psu/control board/wifi on: May 21, 2013, 09:12:22 PM
What a constipated, short sighted, scammy, ghost priced market.

So time for some Ex-Lax and some ghost busting.

1 Module at 125% of 30 days output paid to the owner.

Clearly people are unwilling to let go of the full systems or even partials with the supporting parts to run them.

Open to proxy group buys:
I get the module.
Group pays to get module on the market.
Highest payer and lowest payers in equal amounts get paid first. I'll be shaving liabilities toward the middle.
Module is shipped when group buyers have been paid by me.

I will pay each group buyer 10% more than they paid (in order of lowest to highest).
18  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] 1 Avalon unit with 1 module - 30 days to pay on: May 21, 2013, 02:02:36 PM
If you have 3 Avalons, you could move two modules, 1 each to the other 2 Avalons and not lose hashes while sending me the single module unit, with PSU control board, wifi, etc.
If you have 2 Avalons, I could pay you 12.5% (11% + difficulty calculation) for 90 days after to make up for the lost hashes.
If you only have 1 Avalon, I could pay 25% for 90 days after to make up for lost hashes.

I am not interested in prices based on ebay's orbital scammy bids and auctions.
I am not interested in pre-orders.
If you are uncomfortable rearranging modules or opening up the case then I'll wait for someone who is not.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] 7 days to Feathercoin 0.6.4 Fork - Retarget to 110 DIFF, 41.4% max swing on: May 19, 2013, 12:45:01 AM
Tired of the altcoin dilution?
Use the most forked coin.
Hang out with the most active community.
We all contribute or we fall.

7 days? Will it go up? Will it go down? Will it come sooner? Or later? It's all up to you.

The next retarget is expected to be to difficulty 110. The actual difficulty projected before the fork was much lower, but much more volatile. With the limit set to 41.4% you can get in now WITHOUT changing the retarget. It won't go any higher if there's more people coming, because the projected difficulty was much lower. It may even go lower one retarget after.

There's a difficulty cushion which will provide a stable rate of profit when more people come in after you.

Jump in.
20  Economy / Auctions / Radeon 5970 ( on: May 11, 2013, 10:23:39 PM
Selling a Radeon 5970 that my motherboard won't take. I have too many connected to it. The winner will be picked out of a hat containing the last few bids within a price window.
I don't want just someone with a lot of FTC to get it and I also want a good idea of what the ending bids will look like based on the middle.

So take a look:

Happy bidding!
