I stopped being active with my bitcoins a few months ago, admittedly hoarding them for the past few months. Part of them were kept in TradeHill. I just learned they closed, having received no notification from them at the time. Am I screwed in getting those back?

I need to -rescan to try to get a transaction to show up, but everywhere I look it just says "use the -rescan switch" etc., never actually explains how. Could someone please give me a step by step instructions on how to rescan on Mac OS X.

As some of you might know I was one of the recent people to be stolen from. Right after I created a new wallet and sent my remaining 0.1BTC ( ) to it. When I search the address I sent to that is copied and pasted from the client running my new wallet it shows the transaction, receiving the 0.1, but my client has still not got it.

Is there something else I have to do since I made a new wallet? :/

I just opened the client, and I have a transaction of -23.20 to an unknown address (it is not recognized by block explorer), that I did not make. It has 0 confirmations. Will not downloading the block chain do anything? Is there anyway to stop this? Or should I just download it and see what happens? :|

I am trying to buy .85BTC and I get this error: "Please enter a valid number." Is there a minimum? If so, why?
