Hi all,
Been a longtime member here. Got out of the Bitcoin scene for a while, and during that time my Bitcointalk account was compromised.
Thanks to theymos I managed to get it back through a lot of security questions.
Happy to be back!
The purpose of this post is to inform anyone to disregard basically anything I posted in the last year or so. That was the other guy.

Hello! I thought that it would be a lot of fun if some people got together and played some Dota 2 for a pool of Bitcoin. Some information on how this is going to work: Here's how to participate in 2 simple steps: 1. Get together a team of 5 people. 2. Report this team to me via PM, you will be added to the bracket. 3. Pay the participation fee of .1 BTC per team. That's only .02 BTC per player. The matches will begin on October 24th. The process of matchmaking will go like this: 1. Check the bracket for the team you're fighting. 2. Exchange Steam details with the enemy team. 3. Play the game via a lobby with no cheats or bots, and in Captain's Draft or All Pick mode, based on what you and your opponent have decided on. 4. Report the winner in this thread. A member from each team must state the same result for it to be counted. 5. Repeat. Current Teams: Hope this will be fun! Current Pot: .2 BTC Donors: Fees/Donations address: 1Dota2WGn8xy4HvFqArSc3J21DhqUEZtYa

I think this would be a lot of fun. Let people make teams, the team pays a small entrance fee, and then they compete for the pot which consists of all the entrance fees! Would anyone be interested in participating in something like this?

For some reason, this warning in Linux Mint 15 is really bothering me, and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen it before or has a solution. Here's a link to the problem: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=144097&p=760333If you know anything about it, feel free to post any suggestions here. If anyone manages to solve it, you get my $5. Thanks for reading this.

I've been trying to load their page at https://www.hashfast.com/, but it redirects to itself! Is anyone else experiencing this?

Is this how it works? Just curious. That's what it seems to be.

In the past week, I've had a file system failure on a small partition that contained my Bitmessage keys. I wiped it without thinking of them. Yesterday, I was working on some RPC features, and the client thought it was in portable mode and wiped my keys again! So remember, if you're going to be screwing around, back up that keyfile in a safe place.
My new address is in my signature. I'd appreciate some test messages.

Here's how it works. 1. Someone posts a Bitmessage address as a reply to this thread. 2. Then, the person above them sends a message to it, adding new content to the message they recieved. Once received, they edit their message to acknowledge it. Another address can only be posted once the previous one is acknowledged. 3. It continues to grow. It's kind of like a chain letter, but only one person at a time.

I've just implemented a simple change in Bitmessage, and I'd appreciate if some people could help test it. AyrA had the idea of including a Bitmessage address in DNS, and I implemented it. To test it out, download my fork of Bitmessage at https://github.com/Jaxkr/PyBitmessage. Then, make sure you have all the prerequisites by following one of the guides. Here's the official one: https://bitmessage.org/wiki/Compiling_instructionsFinally, run If you get "command not found" or something like that, try Thanks. Feel free to send me a message at jaxkr.frog.li

Here's how it works: I'm thinking of a rule. Users who fit the rule can be seen through the orange glass door, users who don't can not. To prevent me from changing it, the hash of the rule is 739ef46fb90bb66f4845d09f6e666533bc4c3cb9d06041d2caa583531fd2c958 To check if you can be seen through the orange glass door, reply with "Me?" and I'll tell you. If you think you've figured out the rule, leave the solution as a reply. If you're right, I'll send you the coins. The current prize is 70 mBTC. You can increase it by donating to 1CwSbXmEiT6pg4EbZcgEGs4ZN5jmhCYKjb. Donors to this puzzle: - Jaxkr (50 mBTC)
- escrow.ms (20 mBTC)
The puzzle starts now! Good luck.

I was looking through my settings, and my trust list was strange. It had all kinds of duplicate names, and multiple levels of indentation, and all kinds of stuff. "DefaultTrust" was even listed as a user in there!
What does all of this mean?
