1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Community ASIC project SPLIT FROM: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 08, 2014, 12:28:53 AM
Just to throw fuel on the fire; having spent the last 4 months researching ASIC development and also travelling to meet with designers in countries such as Germany, United States, Taiwan and even Canada I can safely say that Bitcoin mining hardware is the biggest ponzi scam of all.

Some people may disagree but this is one area of Bitcoin that needs regulation. These companies, not just pre-order, but all bitcoin hardware companies are ripping you off. To design and produce a 28nm AISC you are looking at $1.10/Gh/s USD, bear in mind that this includes NRE costs. A second batch should significally drop to about 0.70-0.80/Gh/s USD (minus the NRE costs). I personally know of three ASIC designers that have chips designed at power requirements of under 0.30Watts/Gh/s, one of them even comes in at 0.175Watts/Gh/s.

I think its time to switch from buying hardware to producing hardware ourselves and implementing said hardware in data centres. The ironic point about this idea is that the community (for better word) has already done this numerous times with hardware, we are the ones paying NRE on the first batches, we are the ones funding production and to be quite honest we are the ones funding hardware manufacturers profits. Bitcoin miners should not have to speculate on a speculation!

To that end I will be launching a community project in about two weeks with the intention of producing our own miners for data centre use. No more mark ups, no more speculation and full transparency.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Automatic payment script for client. on: April 07, 2014, 06:24:19 AM
Hi, looking for some advice on setting up automatic payments to multiple addresses once per day.

Each address would count as a percentage and the total funds in wallet at end of day would be sent.

Any ideas?

4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Scammer tag: Member oaxaca on: July 14, 2013, 06:38:31 AM
I'm putting my case up for member oaxaca to have a scammer tag. I Just minutes ago I logged into my Terrahash account to pay for two of my orders (two sub 500 order numbers)  and noticed that one of the orders had changed to processing. On July 2nd oaxaca contacted me in relation to buying the same order and I asked for 1btc for payment, he declined and thats all I ever heard from him. He also asked for the username of my account so he could talk to terrahash to see if he could change the order to his liking.

I contacted him moments ago and he replied that:

"I didn't jack your order.  Your orders have been canceled for weeks for non-payment.  I went in to their office personally and bought a unit for hosting.  People are all uptight about order numbers.  They really don't care about order numbers.  Terrahash is trying to finalize their product while users on this forum keep screaming SCAM at every opportunity."

I have attached a link to a screenshot of my order page as well to show that my orders are on hold. If order numbers are not a concern then why did he need a sub 500 order number.

6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Group service/buy for manufacture of Klondike 16/64 boards in Australia. on: May 21, 2013, 06:15:07 AM
Hi, I'll be offering a group service for Australian residents wishing to have their Klondike 16/64 boards built. After looking through all the Klondike info I don't think I'll be trusting any of my boards with inconsistent chinese or similar parts. And at $130 dollars worth of chips in each board I think the extra costs of Australian manufacture are worth it.

I'll be offering a near turn key product ie. cables, atx power, testing and certification. All that is needed from you is correct number of chips and heatsinks.

I'll soon be posting a rough guide for costing (including postage) the 16 and 64 board manufacture with costing for ATX PSU and periphery cables. Also included will be a quick turnaround price and a normal price.

Payment can be made via BTc and direct bank transfer.

Can I get some idea of numbers please?

I'll also be offering to participate in identity verification face to face for worried individuals.
7  Economy / Scam Accusations / BFL possible scam on: May 19, 2013, 09:25:30 AM
I'm new to the BTc scene. However I have noticed some disturbing facts while browsing web with regard to BFL. As most people know cookie tracking can play a large part in terms of what advertisements you see online. I recently have been to a couple of websites where embedded adverts have been BFL related. I have noticed that some adverts are advertising BFL 60gh/s products at $1299 USD. Correct me if I'm wrong, but can anyone explain or clarify why this product is advertised at this price?
