2  Other / Meta / Why locking threads which are actually helpful? on: August 13, 2018, 10:30:32 AM
I just noticed some different behavior in our local board lately (Philippine Local Board) and I need some clarification from Mods why is this happening. Recently, I've read some discussions in my local board saying that "why some of our threads in there are getting locked?", it made me think that, "Yeah why?" . There are several good discussions there and helpful threads that supposed to be open and pinned but they are already locked now and being buried by other nonsense topics.

These are my fellow member's conversation that they also noticed this different behaviour from our local.
As a relatively new member, I have also wondered why some posts that are indeed helpful get locked-- even though I don't really see a reason why. However, the moderators may have their own reasons, but still, I find it weird all the same.

See, even a Jr. member notice this activity in our local. Thanks for being observant and I hope that all of the members should also observe what's happening in here. ~snip
Hmm, I also noticed this kind of activity in our local section especially some post from theyoungmillionaire, CatchSomeAirdrops, Thirio, yazher and you have been locked causing it to be found in the middle page of our section thus making it hard to find and read. Every day there are lots of new registrants of members here and they tend to ask a question which has been answered a million times, we cannot spoonfeed all the answers they want, that is why it is better to leave all the useful posts open from replies to make it appear always in the 1st - 2nd pages of the local section. Here are some suggestions that might work.

I don't know who's responsible for this, is it our Local Board Mods? But the question is why locking helpful and good threads? While there are lot of nonsense topics that still open right now. The question is why?

Please @theymos, our local board need some changes and some help. We are already lacking of Merit sources and locking these good threads will be just an additional problem. It is Filipinos long problem there, but no one has the guts to open a discussion here about what is really happening in our local board because they're probably afraid. Well, about our local board's Merit Source, @cwrth is the only member who is capable for the responsibility for now.

theyoungmillionaire is one of the top Merited member from our local board and he/she has contributed a lot in our local, also known as the "Silent Hero" because he/she encouraged and motivated other members to make quality posts using his/her inspiring threads but why even those threads are locked? 2 of the helpful topics I'm talking about are theyoungmillionaire and Thirio's thread and 1 from finaleshot2016 and edsnowangel.

Here are the locked threads and it's up to you to judge whether it's really helpful or not. Take note that these are written in "Tagalog". These are just simple threads but they contains a lot of good information and the discussions are also pretty well. I vote to keep these threads open and pinned Smiley

Locking these threads is also one reason why some of our local board's members missed to read those helpful guidelines. Yeah, our local board already provided all the guides that may help and enlighten our citizens but since they are locked and buried with a lot of trash discussions, it's kinda useless now.

Just check this guy who recently posted in our local board. He/she just realised that there are good discussions and helpful threads in our local, it only means other member didn't know that these threads exist, it's because it is covered with too many trash discussions.

My Mistakes:
1. I didn't know that we have a great topics here at our Local forum na ngayon ko lang na discover at nabasa.
[Filipino Guide] Ang Bitcointalk Merit System
Paano makakaiwas sa SCAM 🔥🔥 WORTH READING 🔥🔥
TOP 5 NA DAPAT IWASAN [Newbies must read it]

There is a possibility that other members might create a new thread about the same topic of these locked threads (which will become a spam), since they're locked and cannot be bumped or not pinned, some members doesn't really have an idea that such threads are existing in our local board.
There's no doubt that soon or later, all remaining good threads in our local will also going to be locked.

I will be expecting answers from anyone especially from Mods and Admin if possible Smiley We really need some changes and help.

3  Other / Meta / Suggestions to lessen spam accounts on: August 10, 2018, 09:25:03 AM
There has been a lot of Newbies and Brand new accounts that is recently created and more accounts are being generated ever day (including bot accounts), the bad news is, these accounts are just being used for spamming the Forum. If we will just try to look at the situation, spammers are almost taking over the Forum. So, here's my stupid idea that might make you say "Hmm interesting" or "it's really stupid".

Please take note that these ideas came up to my mind while taking a snack from school Smiley

1. Disabling Registration - A lot of accounts are being created everyday (like what I said) and almost all of these accounts are used only for spamming. I'm just thinking, how if we disable the registration of accounts for a while while we are cleaning the forum from spammers. Here's the pros and cons.

  • While New accounts/spammers are getting banned, they will not be able to create a new accounts to continue spamming(unless they have another account) and we will continue cleaning the forum from these unnecessary accounts.
  • Accounts used for spamming will be lessen

  • Those people who will start service, ICO, bounties etc (creating for good purpose) are also won't be able to create account.
  • etc..

Since those people who have good business will be affected, I have some hesitations about this one. Let's move to the other one...

2. Limit account registration per day - How if we put a limit on how many accounts should only be created everyday? For example, only 50 accounts (or less or more than) are available every day. Once the registration limit is reached, the registration will be disabled until the next day.

3. There are designated days when the registration is available - In this one, there are some designated days where a user can create account. For example, the registration is only available every Monday and Friday.

  • This idea will make spammers wait for some day before they can make account again
  • It will lessen new accounts every.

  • Those users who are in hurry and really need to create account for some emergency etc. will also need to wait for some day.
  • etc...

4. Putting a designated time where the registration is available - How if there are designated time where users can only create account. For example, the registration is only available every 11:00 Pm to 12:00 Am and 11:00 Am to 12:00 Pm (Forum time). Users must wait until the designated time came before they can make new accounts.

When one (or two) of these idea/s are implemented. The information should appear in the registration page.

This will somehow lessen "spamming accounts" that are being created every day. I just noticed that since the registration is available anytime, users are abusing it. Anyway, there are still a lot of advantages and disadvantages. Let's discuss this idea so that we can be able to figure out more pros and cons.

These are my suggestions, but if you guys will ask me, I really love the 2nd idea combined with either idea 3 or 4 Smiley

Suggestions, questions, opinions, and corrections are open.
4  Other / Meta / Introducing Achievements on: July 30, 2018, 07:52:59 PM
Locked for now. Still fixing the contents. Sorry

I was just thinking about this idea the whole time and this idea will surely encourage a lot of members here in Bitcointalk. I want to introduce "Achievements".

As we all knew, almost all sort of games has achievements and that make it's player get more encourage in playing. How about applying achievements here in our forum? Not bad isn't?

Advantages: This idea will somehow encourage members from doing different good things.
Disadvantages: No disadvantages yet.

Here are some examples of Achievements that I think will give you interest. Have fun reading.

Additional Informations (Must Read This First):
1. About the "Reporter Badge", since Admin theymos is not yet confirming the selected badges, it will be blank for now.

2. I used the Recognition ribbons that I suggest as a "Merit badge" for receiving 50 Merits to 300 merits so that it can be upgraded to medals soon. But anyone is free to suggest your badges if there's any.

3. About the "Poster badge", there is something that I need to clear first.
   A. Poster Badge 3 (Reach 150 Activity "Must be a Full Member")- This badge will only be achieved if a member reached 150 Activity and is already a Full Member. If a member reached 150 Activity while its account rank is just Jr. Member or Member then the user will never get this badge.
   B. Poster Badge 2 (Reach 300 Activity "Must be a Senior Member")- This badge will only be achieved if a member reached 300 Activity and is already a Senior Member. If a member reached 300 Activity while its account rank is just Jr. Member, Member, or Full Member then the user will never get this badge.
   C. Poster Badge 1 (Reach 500 Activity "Must be a Hero Member")- This badge will only be achieved if a member reached 500 Activity and is already a Hero Member. If a member reached 500 Activity while its account rank is just Jr. Member, Member, Full Member, or Senior Member then the user will never get this badge.

4. "Unique Merit badges" are the upgraded Recognition Ribbons, it is now Medal. Anyone is free to suggest better medals icons if there are any.

5. About the "Unique Poster Badge", Just like the Poster Badge it should follow the same pattern.
   A. Unique Poster Badge 3 (Reach 800 Activity "Must be a Hero/Legendary)- This badge will only be achieved if a member reached 800 Activity and is already a Hero/Legendary Member. If a member reached 800 Activity while its account rank is just below Hero Member then the user will never get this badge.
   B. Unique Poster Badge 2 (Reach 1000 Activity "Must be a Legendary)- This badge will only be achieved if a member reached 1000 Activity and is already a Legendary Member. If a member reached 1000 Activity while its account rank is just below Legendary Member then the user will never get this badge.
   C. Unique Poster Badge 1 (Reach 1500 Activity "Must be a Legendary)- This badge will only be achieved if a member reached 1500 Activity and is already a Legendary Member. If a member reached 1500 Activity while its account rank is just below Legendary Member then the user will never get this badge.

6. About "Trust Badge", to encourage members to become completely honest and good member of the forum, I suggest this Trust Badge as a reward/achievement for members who will be given Positive feedback from DT Members. Each Trust badge requires certian amount of Positive Feedback received from DT Members. I suggest to use BTCforJoe's shakehand icon for the Trust Badge as it signifies a good transaction/bussiness.

7. "Top Merited Badge", since we have a list of Top Merited Users I suggest that we award those Top 3 Merited users with these badges. This will encourade other members to compete with each other and make good posts to receive Merits in order to be in Top 3 Merited users (I'm planning to add achievement for top 10 Merited users too, I will add it soon). But I think since Admin theymos is the Administrator and satoshi is the founder, we can exclude them from this Top Merited users ranking to give other members the opportunity to become Top 1. I want your suggestions if were going to use "Top-Merited users, all time" or "Top-Merited users, recent time" as the basis of the ranking.

8. The "Trusted Manager" badge will somehow encourage campaign managers to become a loyal manager. There are already some campaign managers that should receive this badge as they are already Trusted. A Moderator or DT Members are the one who will define if a particular campaing manager should be a trusted one. By the way its just optional.

9. "Staff Badge" should be given for Staffs only. If you want to earn this achievement then you shoud become a staff. This is just Optional and still looking for a badge.

10. "Moderator Badge" should only be given to Moderators, just like Staff badge, if you want to earn this achievement then you should become a Moderator first. This is just Optional and still looking for a badge.

11. "Global Moderators Badge" are entitled for Global Moderators only, if you want to earn this achievement then you should become a Global Moderator. The badge is a Globe and signifies a Global Moderator. This is just Optional.

These badges are more similar to a Trophy for achieving an Achievements.
If you guys like this idea of "Achievements" I can add more additional achievements later like badges for users who have Top Merited Topics and replies etc. or you can suggest if there's something in your mind.

Where can we able to put/see these badges/trophies?
I called it "Badge/Trophy Cabinet" and it should looks like this when in profile page

And looks like this when not in profile page
The space marked with red is the space for the Reporter badge (If Admin will put it in there). Including the report badge with these achievement badges is a pretty good one too.
I suggest that the highest tier of badges are the only badges that will show up when not in profile page. Example if you have Merit badge 1 and Merit badge 2. Only Merit Badge 1 will be shown.

So what do you think guys, its just my suggestion and I really had fun making these. Please don't put my work into waste, a simply "I like it" can take my tiredness go away lol  Cheesy

Note: All amount of Merits, posts and Positive feedback in this idea was just my own suggestions same to the icons used. Any adjustment can happen anytime. If you want to suggest please specify the reason why.

By the way thanks for reading and please leave your feedback and questions if any.

5  Local / Pilipinas / Bitcoin Wallets (Tagalog) on: July 18, 2018, 11:02:46 AM

Types of Bitcoin Wallets.

1. Hardware Waller
2. Software Wallet
3. Paper Wallet

Hardware Wallet - ang hardware wallet ay isang electronic device kung saan maaari naten ilagay ang ating Bitcoins. Sabi nang ibang tao, ang hardware wallet daw ang best choice kasi mas secured ito pag dating sa security at napaka convenient niya. Pero syempre, dahil best choice ito may kunting kamahalan lang pag dating sa presyo. Ito ang mga uri nang Hardware wallet;

1. Ledger Nano S

Kalamangan (Pros)

Buy Ledger Nano S here(official website):

Kalamangan (Pros)

Kawalan (Cons)

Buy Trezor here:
Official website:

Kalamangan (Pros)

Buy keepkey here(Official website):

Software Wallet- ang "software wallet" ay maaaring isang application na pwede naten i-install sa ating computer at mobile devices gaya nang Android at Ios o maaari namang isang  Web Based Wallet. Halos lahat nang Software wallet ay nangangailangan nang Internet connection upang ma-access at syempre may kailangan din nito nang password o private key. Ito ang mga halimbawa nang software wallets;

Download Link (Official website):

Download Link(Official website):

Kalamangan (Pros)
-Mahusay at kinikilala ang brand nito.
-Safe, mabilis, at secured.

Kawalan (Cons)

Lastly, itong Paper wallets.

6  Other / Meta / Sub/Child board for Account Issues on: July 06, 2018, 09:16:40 AM
Reports about Hacked accounts and Banned accounts are increasing and I noticed that Meta is getting a little messy, threads about "How to get Merits" by newbies are additional threads which makes Meta looks so messed up and with this idea, this section will be somehow looks clean. I have this idea in mind that maybe it's time to make another sub board/child board here in Meta Section where issues about accounts will be held.

Herr are the pros of my idea:

1. Meta will somehow become neat.
2. Account issues like hacked or banned will be compiled in one place.
3. It will be easier to find reports about account issues.

I have no Cons yet but you guys can provide if you have something in mind.

Suggestions and Opinions are open Smiley
7  Other / Meta / Is this a new feature of the forum? on: July 04, 2018, 04:11:33 PM
Is this a new feature of the forum? I've just noticed this little icon (in the picture below)
and your post will show up like this

I think it's a Quick Edit of your post. I don't know if this is already been here for days, month or years but I only noticed it today. If you guys don't know it yet, just go to one of your post and you will find it in the right side of it. I searched about "quick reply" of this forum but I cannot find any discussions about it that's why maybe this is new.
If you already knew it and it's already here for a long time (since the beginning), shame on me for bringing this up.

Just sharing and I just wanted to ask if this is new. I will lock this thread immediately once my curiosity is been answered.

8  Economy / Reputation / actmyname where are you :p on: June 27, 2018, 06:03:27 AM
I'm Silent26, just a few months ago March 30, 2018 actmyname rewarded me this Neutral Feedback (Semi Negative feedback) saying that I'm a "Spammer. Perpetuating spam megathreads.". I was challenged by his 14 Merits reward if your last 20 posts are Good Quality posts but if not he will gave the user a Neutral feedback in return if your posts wasn't good. I can't find the thread now maybe it's deleted or I just can't find it. I went through all my posts history to find my post in his thread but i failed to find it or I just missed it.

The challenge is good, if he sees that your posts are good then you'll receive 14 Merits but if not he will give you a temporary neutral feedback. He mentioned that if your posts improved he will then remove the Neutral feedback. Sorry but I'm really having trouble looking for that thread.

Like what I said, he rewarded me Neutral feedback (You can check it in my trust feedback, I also got one from suchmoon which is I think permanent Cry) which I really deserved back then as I admit that I used to post in Megathreads. Because of that Neutral feedback, it gave me a lesson that posting in Megathreads is same as spamming  (which I didn't know that tume) that's why I stopped posting in such threads and this Neutral Feedback I wore from actmyname also encouraged me to improve the quality of my posts. First of all, I would like to thank him Smiley

Like what he mentioned back in that time, he said that he will remove it once a user improves, I don't know if I already improved a lot since that time but I would like to remind you actmyname that if the quality of my posts improved, maybe you can now take it back Grin
I'm just reminding you actmyname, and it's okay for me if you don't want to take it back for now due to maybe my improvement is not enough or you just don't want to remove it forever. I'm just afraid that you might already forgotten what you said that time.

I'm not begging for it and I'm not angry as well Grin I'm just recalling some good memories in the past and also some words that you said Smiley

Well, thanks for reading the thread. Have a good day to everyone and to actmyname.

I will be waiting for your response  Tongue

Ps. Am I in the right section?
9  Other / Meta / Think Before You Click (Beware of Phishing Sites) on: June 15, 2018, 05:12:21 PM
Hi Guys, I don't exactly know where to start this topic. I'm hesitating to post it here or in Beginners and Help Section. Just Kindly tell me the right section for this topic Smiley

I know some of old Members here already knew about this but because Bitcointalk's community is getting bigger and there are too many new users. I came to this idea to share this information.

What: Phishing Site
Objective: To share information
Warning: Don't ever try to log-in in this site or else your account will be compromised. If accidentally logged-in, change your password immediately.

So where should I start. Okay let's begin here, let me tell you what happened first. Make sure your read this 'till the end, it's worth of reading it Smiley

I was searching through google about Sir. theymos's birthday (just to get proof that June 15 really is Sir theymos's birthday) when I've noticed that the Bitcointalk I'm browsing is not the real link of As we all knew when we are at the home page of the forum this is the link that we can see...
(also see screenshot)

But, instead of that link that is supposed to be shown, I've realised that I'm in a different site and this is the link of another Bitcointalk forum which uses the exact informations of the forum like all posts, threads and Members.
(see screenshot below)

Have you noticed the difference? It's between their domain names.  Instead of "" it's "".

So here is the time when I've searched some related information about this in and according to these posts (below links) I found out this link is 100%"PHISHING.

Is same of ? = ?
What is ..?
Is legit or scam?
Is bitcointalk[.]to a FAKE/ CLONE of bitcointalk[.]org

So guys, mostly to New Members. Like what I said in the warning. "Don't ever try to log-in in this site or else your account will be compromised. If accidentally logged-in, change your password immediately." I'm pretty sure that there are still other phishing sites out there waiting for a victim mostly to Bitcointalk Members. For your information, our accounts here a very valuable. Some of you just couldn't realise how valuable our account is. So always take care of it and make sure to always check that the URL your logging in is no other than or just bookmark it.

Other useful information :
What is phishing?
According to wikipedia "Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details, often for malicious reasons, by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication."

Useful Replies :
It's not just that one.
There are tons out there.

Be careful what links you click on google and in your PM.
There was a large phishing attempt using bitcointailk or something like that.

The worse part is that google is getting tricked sometimes and if you mistype bitcointalk it will show both results from the real bitcointalk but also from the phishing websites.
Best thing you can do is report those, one report might not do anything but a hundred or a thousand will.
this is the same case just like the MEW (MyEtherWallet)
many phishing sites that resemble the original
only different domains (real site) (phishing site) (phishing site)

please be careful out there, the original bitcointalk site has a .org domain
bitcointalk phishing sites want to steal your bitcointalk account because currently bitcointalk account is very valuable
What, is theymos supposed to baby users into not clicking on suspicious bitcointalk links where the URL doesn't match the original? BCT hyperlinks are green when highlighted.
Phishing PM's are dealt with when users report them but there's no way to prevent a user's stupidity from being their downfall. With the new email confirmations, at the very least, phishing will be less impactful, so you could technically state that theymos 'did something about that'.

There are already threads created with the same topic but I still decide to post another one. Because posting this will surely help a lot of members and those threads that has been posted before doesn't warn other members. It's more like they've just discussed it passingly for their selves. But in here, I've discussed everything that everyone should know, so it's a little bit different from other threads Smiley

Guys, always remember. "Think Before You Click".

If I've done something wrong, please tell me and I will lock this thread immediately.
Well, hope it helps a lot Smiley

Please don't copy and paste the thread and don't quote it when replying.
10  Other / Off-topic / Merits for helpful posts/threads by Silent26 on: May 21, 2018, 08:44:42 AM
Please read until the end
I created this service to give away my remaining sMerits to those people who can provide constructive (English) and helpful posts/threads. I don't often give my sMerit as I can't see helpful and constructive posts. I usually can only see Good posts created by Hero Members and Legendaries who didn't need Merit too much as they are already high rank Members.

Post 1 link that you believed is a helpful and Meritorious one.

1. You must be Jr. Member to Sr. Member only.
2. You must provide constructive and helpful posts/threads. (Strictly no to spam/shitposts)
3. Must post only 1 link per account.
4. Must be atleast 100 characters long (A reply with just a link which is helpful but not constructive is not counted).
5. Merits received must be less than 50.

I have the rights to ignore a posts if it's not too helpful.

I don't have too much sMerits to give but these sMerits are precious. Just think that this is rewarded to you by contributing well in the forum. It is not too hard to follow these rules, I've warning you right from the start to read this thread until the end, someone who attempts to reply without reading the rules will be given Neutral Feedback.

I only have 17 Smerit for 17 people who will pass the requirements.

I also hate Merit Abusers. If by chance that I found something suspicious to your Merits Summary. You will be investigated.

Please tell me if I've done something wrong here and I will fix it immediately or lock the thread. Thank you.

12  Other / Meta / Newbie Problems how to eliminate? on: March 23, 2018, 10:43:21 AM
Good day/evening everyone. I'm Silent26. I'm just a simple Member of this Forum and always sticks to the rules. I'm here to tell you something. Hmm let me starts with this.

I've noticed that our Forum starts to suffer from Newbies/Newcomers problems as they always ask a certain question repeatedly. Their common questions are "what is bitcoin?", "how to earn bitcoin?" etc. and the recently most asked by too many new members/Newbies is "What is Merit/Merit System and how to get Merit?".

I decided to create this thread to give some idea to our Admin and to our Moderators to Improve our Forum from these kind of "Newbie Problems".
As we can see, asking questions about Merits is now strictly prohibited as it was already asked dozen of times and a member who ask about it will be given a punishment, and it is "banning their account". It is because our Forum's Staffs Declared that anyone who ask questions about merit system will be banned or reported as a spammer. It is also because these Newbies can't even try to search for the answers they were looking for by their own.
But what if these Newbies really don't know how our System works? What if they really don't know what to do first and they didn't even know that posting about merit is prohibited? Do we need to be mad at them or we should help them to enlighten them? Honestly what do you prefer?

I came up to this Idea. When creating a new account. The existing system works as this

Register>>Enter Email, and Password>>Login.

And after logging in, the user will be directed in the home page of the Forum.

I have suggestion/proposal about improving our Forum, it will not change any of the existing process of the system for registering new account. I just want this idea to be added (I'm just suggesting) . Here is my idea.

Like what I said, when a account is successfully created, the user is only directed to the home/main page of the Forum and it's up to them what to do because there is no any guide.

What if? After a successful registration, the user will be directed to a certain thread that contains all information that a newbie must know.
For example is a thread that contains all of the rules of this forum, some basic information about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and information about Merit Systems. I know this is "spoon feeding" because if they really want to gain knowledge they must conduct research by their own. But, if we implemented this idea and still, they didn't follow the rules. The account will be permanently banned.

If you guys didn't want the idea of directing the user to a thread, a message or a bot message will be fine too. Whenever there is a new account created, a bot will automatically sends PM to the new account containing all of the information that newbie must know (just like what I said above).

In the rules, there must be a huge message with BOLD text style saying "IF YOU VIOLATE ANY OF THESE RULES, YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THIS FORUM" something like that because there is a possibility that the user will be forced to read the entire thread/message to prevent violating any of the rules.

And one more thing (this is optional), I also suggest that, there should be some volunteered members who will guide these newbies. After reading the entire thread or message and clicking button, (lets assume) "I AGREED" button the newbie will be directed to another thread titled "Beginners guide" or something where they can ask questions, but every post made in this thread is not counted as a post. Although a user posted so many questions in this thread, it will not be added as "post" count in their account.

This only requires:
-Collection of information that a Newbies must know.
-The list of our Forum's rules.
-Information about Merit System.
-Some Trusted or Volunteer Members to guide Newbies (optional)

-To somehow eliminate "Newbies problem" .
-To prevent Newbies from creating threads that has been created multiple times.
-To educate Newbies with some basic informations.
-To enlighten Newbies how our system works and what rules to follow.

Scope and Limitations
-This idea is for accounts that will be made in the future.
-Its limitation is, It didn't include accounts that already been created and also farmed accounts.

I've been thinking of this all the time and came up to this idea Smiley
I still need your suggestions about this Idea. This is also just my suggestion hehe. What do you think guys?

To staffs, please delete this thread if I violate any rules. But as far as I know I'm not violating any rules. Thanks.

Leave your suggestions guys Smiley

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What to do when panicked? Check this out on: March 17, 2018, 08:27:42 AM
More people are panic because of bitcoin's low price. Don't you people know that Panicking will only result you to sell your Bitcoins although the price is low. "What should we do if bitcoin is down?" This is the common question from most of people Panicking. Well let me answer that question once for all.

As we can see, whenever bitcoin is down to less than 9,000 usd. We consider this price as a low price for bitcoin and this is the time where people starts to panic.  Well, WHENEVER Bitcoin is down, Don't waste your time to panic, instead use the opportunity to buy bitcoins if you can. Buying bitcoin at this situation is highly recommended as it will be a big PROFIT in the end. Like I always says, there are two equations used for buying and selling strategy. But what should you follow?

The only key to success in bitcoin industry is to be PATIENCE. Yes, ofcourse we will risk. But the only risk in Bitcoin is if the price has been dragged down and you sell your bitcoin with that low price. Then it will really result to loss. But if you Just keep your patience up, hands on your pocket and relax plus wait for bitcoin's price to go back up, then the return for sure will be a good benefit.
But, it still depends on you on how you manage your Bitcoins. This is only a suggestion.
Sometimes, we really need to learn how to wait, because rashing things can't solve the problem Smiley

Please prove me wrong and I will lock this thread immediately. Having you with my side is my pleasure.
I hope it gives you some idea to what to do whenever you panic Smiley

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin Wallets on: March 09, 2018, 01:17:04 PM
Hi guys, I created this topic to enhance the knowledge of those who still beginning in Crypto World.I recently found some articles about this on the internet and I also noticed that no one has ever posted a topic like this so I just came up to this idea to share this information about Bitcoin wallet. I know there are a lot of people who already knows what is Bitcoin wallet and what is its purpose. But there are also some people here who didn't know about these things for sure. I make some research but you can still find information like this in internet on your own if you want, but I will explain it to you here so that you won't need to go to intermet to search certain informations like these.

*Basic information about Bitcoin wallet address
*Types of wallets
*Example of bitcoin wallets and its advantage and Disadvantage.
*Download links, links and official website of bitcoin wallets are provided below to avoid phishing sites. They are 100% real.

Lets start with what is Bitcoin wallet.

According to Investopedia Bitcoin wallet is a Software/Hardare where we can be able to store Bitcoins. This is mostly similar to wallet we used for storing money.

Bitcoin wallet consists of
1. Passwords/Private keys- which is needed to access your wallet account. Private keys and Passwords are very important. These keeps our wallets secured. We must always keep it in a safe place and never forget it or else. We will just end up unable to access our wallets.

2. Wallet address - it represents a possible destination for Bitcoin payments and transactions. Bitcoin wallet address is not like Passwords that we need to keep by ourselves. Instead it is the opposite of Passwords where we can share to anyone or to public.  If somebody will send you bitcoins just give them your Bitcoin wallet address. Same as if you want to send some bitcoin. Just ask for their Bitcoin wallet address. You can find Wallet address in your wallets. It consists 26 to 35 alphanumeric characters that start with either "1" or "3".

There are types of Bitcoin wallets,
1. Paper wallet
2. Software wallet
3. Hardware wallet

Hardware wallet - A hardware wallet is a physical electronic device used for storing bitcoins. Some people says Hardware wallets are the best choice because it is secured, reliable and convenient. They are too expensive. Here are some examples of Hardware wallet.

*Multiple currencies. Supports several currencies other than bitcoin and can convert transaction amounts to and from fiat currency.
*Easy-to-use interface. The myTrezor browser plug-in makes it easy complete transactions.

*Complicated PIN. It takes time to set up the plug-in, and you must re-enter your PIN using an obscured keypad every time you plug in the Trezor.

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Not a scam? Then prove it. on: February 26, 2018, 04:46:23 PM
Hi guys. A friend of mine told me to share this idea here in Beginners and Help Section. I just want to share this idea to newbies and all beginners here. I didn't move it here since it was recently moved to Bitcoin Discussion that is why I will just include the link here. Please take time to visit and comment your suggestions.

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Lets talk about avoiding scam on: February 17, 2018, 02:32:21 AM
There are lot of scammers we had encountered from the past and I'm  pretty sure that we will still encounter scammers in the future. But in this topic we will focus on Scammers from Signature Campaigns. We are just participants, when we found an interesting signature campaign. We apply immediately without hesitation, and that's the common problem why we are getting scammed. Because we are careless, but is it really our fault? Or those fucking scammers who made those fucking scam Campaigns? We just wanted to earn bitcoin and because of our excitement we didn't even notice that the campaign is suspicious. Besides that, we will be called "shitposters" because we apply in suspicions campaign.

Im just thinking that maybe we can do something to avoid these scam projects.
For example, in a particular campaign. Why it is hard for the Manager to escrow the funds? What's the problem? Are they scared? Or because they can manage a campaign without escrow? I know that some signature campaign still pays their participants although they didn't have escrow. But usually those are trusted Managers.
But how about those Campaign managers with "Newbie" accounts. They know that they're untrusted but still they don't want to have escrow. Then they will say that "we are not scam, we dont force you to join if you dont want". If they are really not a scam. Let's somehow prove it by having an escrow.

I think we should add "Having Escrow is required " to the rules of our Forum for Every Signature Campaigns that will be made here in Bitcoin Forum>Economy>MarketPlace>Services and also for other campaigns here (I'm not including Signature Campaigns and bounties in the Altcoin Section as they give tokens not Bitcoins) . This is to avoid scammers only, not to destroy their images. Every single campaign should have escrow except if the Manager is a trusted member of the forum.

Guys What do you think? Smiley  I still need your suggestions about this idea. We should act immediately.
