1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Gold-Based Cryptocurrency on: June 27, 2018, 09:11:12 AM
The gold-based cryptocurrency is paving its way towards success. Now in the cryptocurrency world, there is a gold rush going on. Many countries are planning to issue their own gold-based cryptocurrencies.

Value of Gold-Based Cryptocurrency
The idea of gold-based cryptocurrency is very compelling for the cryptocurrency traders. This is because of its worth very high value. Right now, one token or coin of gold-based cryptocurrency worth 1 gram of gold. Its value is equal to the gold price in the market. Even it is possible that the price of gold-based cryptocurrency will increase with the increase in the regular rise in the price of gold.

Risks of Gold-Based Cryptocurrency
Obviously, there are risks attached to gold-based cryptocurrency, just like the simple cryptocurrency. While trading with this coin, you must confirm that who is holding that blockchain account, who is the owner of that gold and how it is stored. Also, while dealing with the gold-based cryptocurrency, make sure that you also own the gold. Another important advice given by the experts to beginners in gold-based cryptocurrency is that they must do their proper research and evaluate all the alternatives of gold-based cryptocurrency, just like you investigate the online Ripple XRP cryptocurrency trading. Those who do not clearly mention that how they store and account for gold, you must not engage with them for trade.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Outside Top 10 in China's Crypto Rating on: June 25, 2018, 08:39:40 AM
Ethereum is now in second place behind EOS, the latter in the interim period seeing its beta launch and ongoing criticism over its technological stability and freezing of users’ funds.

Making up the rest of the top five assets meanwhile are another Chinese project, NEO, in third place, while fourth and fifth places go to Steller and Lisk respectively.

Bitcoin, down four places to 17th, fares hardly better than NEO, according to China, the latter sounding the alarm this week after uncovering a wallet vulnerability affecting all Android users of its day-old app.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Investing Smartly in ICOs on: June 24, 2018, 08:26:50 AM
Investing in ICOs is known to be more than a gamble, than an investment. However, even if it is considered to be a game of chance, you cannot just throw money and invest in different ICOs randomly. Before investing, it is important to look at three aspects of an ICO; understanding of an ICOs value, the team behind the company, and the interest of people in it. In addition, it is also important to make sure that the people behind the company are real people. Knowing their background and where they are located would be helpful as well. Moreover, hype regarding their ICO drops should also be taken into account, and as well as the number of people who follow them in different social media platforms. Lastly, it is also helpful to scan their white paper for more information and to be able to gain understanding on what they want to build.

7  Local / Pilipinas / Segwit address on: January 16, 2018, 07:02:21 AM
Mga kababayan, nabalitaan niyo na ba ang segwit address?

i believe there are two forms of SegWit addresses at the moment.
1. P2SH nested segwit (P2SH-P2WPKH) which will look like normal P2SH addresses (start with 3)
2. Bech32 which will start with bc1 and has a different formatting than base58
and normal addresses as you know start with 1 or 3 and are base58 encoded

as for fees i believe the P2SH nested segwit will take up more size than the bech32 (but i may be wrong). and they say "it is cheaper to create SegWite transctions" but i have not yet tested this. last bech32 transaction i saw had 1 input and 2 outputs and was 255 bytes which is the same as regular transactions with P2PKH! so i am confused about that myself too.

So how to create a segwit address in blockchain.info or in electrum.

blockchain.info has not yet adopted SegWit as far as i know but if you install the latest version of Electrum, you can create a SegWit wallet there.

Ang coins.ph ba ay considered na segwit address din? Or kakailanganin bang gumawa ng bagong wallet?

Matagal po ba kaya ito or aabutin ba ng months? Or may iba po bang trading platform na maganda. Mababa lang din po sana ang capital.

O kaya masmaganda bang i-hold ko muna? Tataas pa kaya value nito? Salamat.
10  Local / Pilipinas / Advice niyo ba mag trading? on: August 14, 2017, 06:04:09 AM
Advisable bang mag trading? Nag aaral palang ako kung paano mag simula sa trading at ano yung mga dos and don'ts, pero sa tingin niyo ba na maganda talaga mag trading o kaya bumili ng mga iba't ibang altcoins? Sustainable din kaya iyon?
