4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Scammed for a trading bot (User:KEVLAR) on: January 16, 2014, 03:37:32 PM

BE CAREFUL WITH USER KEVLAR, HE'S A SCAMMER.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is user Kevlar a SCAMMER? on: January 09, 2014, 11:27:24 AM
Hi guys,

I bought a trading bot to Kevlar some weeks ago for 5 BTC (when it was about 100USD). We did this through a escrow service. It took a while for him to deliver it because he had some problems but finally sent it but I couldn't make it work yet. We've been working on bugs yet. Due to the delay and the new BTC price (1,000USD) we arranged a 50% refund:

"Travis Savo <evilgenius@nefariousplan.com> 28/11/13

Alright... in the interest of fairness I will agree to 2.5BTC refund.

Do you have coins in the account that can be sold? Because I know LTC is on a tear and WDC is going crazy, so it should have sold any you may of had.

The script you want sounds pretty straightforward. What is the website in question?"

About 4 weeks ago I went off vacation for Holidays an when I came back found out the Escrow gave him the money because I didn't answer my e-mail. Fine. I contacted to Kevlar through e-mail and PM so I could get the refund and we could finish the project. But didn't get any answer. It has been about 3 days since that. I've sent him about 6 messages.

I have evidence of all e-mail and PM sent back and forth with him.
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / A short one: RPC call to dgminer API on: November 26, 2013, 02:53:22 AM
Hi, I need a script that fetches a coin name from a plain text webpage every 5 minutes.  There has to be a coin list defined by user, so when a change in the website's coin is detected it triggers an RPC call to cgminer's API, to an user defined list of lan hosts, with a switchpool command.

Pool login details should be user defined too and asociated to each coin, along with addpool and poolpriority commands.

Idealy the list of pools asociated to each coin with its login details, and the list of hosts IP address would be managed through a simple password protected web interface. This could be done from a config file for testing purposes.

cgminer API: https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/blob/master/API-README
cgminer version 3.1.1 running on debian linux

By the way the webpage that uses to fetch the coin name will only say something like "WDC" that's it. Only 3 letters representing the coin, no other coding.

Please post or send me an offer for the job.

9  Bitcoin / Mining / I got greedy... Can I make more money with my GPUs? on: July 11, 2013, 11:53:42 AM
"Greed is good" (Gordon Gekko). Can you make more money out of a GPU farm than mining btc or alt coins?

Rendering services, gaming cafes...
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Let's get Evernote to accept Bitcoin! on: July 04, 2013, 09:04:59 PM
Hey bitcointalk folks,

Wouldn't you like every mainstream app service (i.e. Dropbox, Evernote, etc.) to accept  BTC as a payment option? I'd love to. It could alse be a big step forward on getting BTC on mainstream economy.

Just to get the ball rolling I created a petition to get Evernote to accept Bitcoin payments.

Please sign the petition and we'll send it to Evernote executives as soon as we get some hundreds signatures!

Please post here when you signed so we can be updated.
11  Economy / Speculation / In the long term BTC price will be... on: July 04, 2013, 12:43:25 PM
I think that BTC price on the long term will always adjust to:

LONG TERM BTC PRICE = PRODUCTION COST + NORMAL PROFIT

There's nothing on the earth with a small entry barrier that resists a 500% - 200% - even 100% annual profit for a long time. Very soon the market will adjust it (we make sure it happens). It could take 1 month, 6 months or 1 year, but finally I think everything goes back to the earlier formula.

Thoughts?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / If you had 40MH to mine alt coins... How would you mine them? on: June 25, 2013, 01:07:17 PM
If you had 40MH to mine alt coins... How would you mine them?

- Solo mining
- Your own pool
- Pool PPS
- Pool PPLS

Or any other option...?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any trading bot that works with cryptsy on: June 22, 2013, 01:52:29 PM

Peace and love.
14  Bitcoin / Mining / If Bitcoin dies... what could I do with 50 GPUs? on: June 16, 2013, 02:12:56 PM
Let's say Bitcoin (and all alts) goes to zero because Nakamoto was wrong Smiley. What could I do with 50 GPUs besides selling them, have fun with my kids (and the whole school) or replace my home heater with them?

Any ideas that have been implemented? Like starting a "gaming center" or process proteins...

18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Looking for a BTC (and other alt coins) supplier on: June 05, 2013, 07:17:51 PM
Hi,

I'm looking for a BTC (or other alt coins) supplier. The only way I can pay is by Paypal or credit card. I know it's complicated 'cause of paybacks but I  need to buy on a weekly basis so I want to build a mutual trust relationship with just one (or very few) partners so you can be sure I am trustworthy.

I have a track record in this forum to show but I know it won't be enough. I think continous business will grow our trust and enable a normal trading relationship.

Please send me you're offer as well as your terms. I'm willing to buy BTC or I can do with other alt coins.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [UPDATED] MULTI-COIN Docs Exchange on: May 21, 2013, 09:15:53 PM
Hi guys,

The alt.coins Google Docs Exchanges are getting a little confusing for me because there are some coins co-existing and so the Exchanges. So I organized it by gathering all current coins (NIB,DGC,PXC...) AUTOMATICALLY from Docs Exchanges in one single Spreadsheet so we can see coins exchanges easier and faster in just one place.

Hope you like it.

How do you post your buy/sell order?
I won't manage any exchange so please post your buy/sell order to the exchange manager of your coin.
Once your offer is added to the Exchange it will automatically appear here.

What's in the Docs Exchange?
- TOP 10 ORDERS: top 10 orders for EVERY ALT COIN
- ORDERS: the full list of buy/sell orders for every alt coin
- WORKBOOK: buy/sell orders in the sequence as they are posted

The other sheets are self-explanatory.

References
Original exchange data has been copied from the original exchanges. Thanks!

- PXC: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211603.0
- NIB: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=210193.0

Let's go!
And here's the link to your one-stop alt coin Doc exchange:
