Thought I'd give some simple instructions for anyone new like me:

As it says in the original thread, for windows:

1.. Make sure you have Java installed.
2.. Download nxt.zip: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/67242472/nxt.zip
3.. Unzip where you like
4.. Create a .bat file, call it nxt.bat, then edit it with notepad and type 'java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar start.jar' without the commas. Put the nxt.bat in your nxt folder.
5.. Open the following address in firefox or chrome: http://localhost:7874
6.. Click the lock button in the top left corner, then enter a pass-phrase. Save this as you'll need it.
7.. That's it. Now in the top left corner is your NXT address.
