What is Cosmos? Cosmos is an ecosystem of connected blockchains or 'the internet of blockchains'. It is the TCP/IP of web3. A truly decentralized communication protocol. Cosmos hub is the first hub and blockchain in that ecosystem. ATOM is the main token of the Cosmos hub. It is used to help secure the network, transact, participate in governance and can be staked to receive rewards.
Cosmos is an interoperable blockchain protocol that facilitates the transfer of data between existing chains. It operates via a hub-and-spoke model that leverages the design elements of other chains to enable cross-chain interaction. The Cosmos framework features a Byzantine Fault-Tolerant (BFT) consensus algorithm developed by Tendermint to secure the protocol.
In simpler words, with Cosmos you can transfer any data, not just tokens. Think of a big complicated Excel table, not one table, but many. Think of macros. Remember when you had to connect one Excel table to another, and then everytime you made changes in one cell, the data would change accordingly in the other tables? Pretty much the same thing works here. But, using blockchain technology, a trsutless setup and a consensus protocol that makes sure everything is secure and works as per planned.
Often the Cosmos ecosystem, Cosmos hub, Cosmos-SDK, ATOM and Tendermint are mixed and confused. Cosmos is the overall name for everything described above. The technology. It is also the name of the first hub and blockchain using that technology. Cosmos-SDK is the toolkit that allows anyone to build blockchains easily out of the box. Tendermint is the engine that makes it all work under the hood and ATOM is the token of the Cosmos hub, not the whole ecosystem(!). There are many chains in the ecosystem, and they all 'talk' to each other via IBC, each has its own token/s and can have other chains connected to it, hence, making it a hub too.

We understand that not everyone has the ability to purchase those. We still, however, strongly encourage this. A device like this costs between 50-200 USD and if your crypto holdings exceed this sum, it makes sense to secure your holdings via this method offering an extra level of security. Please, purchase hardware devices only from verified vendors and official re-sellers! A list of these can always be found on the official website of the device manufacturers.
You can always find a community maintained list of Cosmos wallets here. If you don't have a Ledger, the easiest wallet to use is the Keplr extension on your desktop, or Cosmostation on your mobile device (can also be used for desktop). Save your seed on paper and backup your login password twice. Do not store your seed online!
If you do have a Ledger, then Cosmostation is your best pick, just connect your device and start using it.Staking ATOMOf course, the big idea with ATOM, is to earn passive income while helping to secure the network. What is Cyber?Cyber is a consensus computer for answers that is managed by its users and its users and tokenholders without any jurisdictions. It is structured as an artificial intelligence in that it can provide answers to questions from the derived information the users teach it.
Currently there are two apps on top of cyber. A decentralized Google analogue and a decentralized twitter analogue. Both are open source and working. Cyber is still in testnets. It's 100 percent open source and is meant to be governed by the community and it's users.
Apart from its own blockchain on top of which the consensus computer lies. There is an Aragon-based ETH DAO, which acts as a decentralized venture fund and bank for cyber. Hence separating money in ETH managed by the users and the state (the chain).
Cybers mission is to create a universal search mechanism to: (a) build an open semantic field of the internet with the help of blockchain technology and cyberlinks, and (b) provide more resistance to web services through decentralization of its infrastructure.
Cyber solves the problem of opening up the centralised semantics field of the internet. It does so by shaping an open and accessible semantics field, created (and managed) by the users. This allows to design a trustless, provable and incentivized method of communication between users who provide content and those searching for it. Effectively removing censorship, blackbox intermediary opinions and opening the possibility for a provable, incentivized and a fairer method for anyone to build and use online tools that are built around semantics.

Bounty announcementThere are 2 types of bounty Cyber is offering. None of them requires KYC/AML/Captchas or any other bingo BS. As part of its initial distribution, Cyber has gifted 10% of its mainnet supply to several communities. This is done to (a) achieve a better initial distribution, (b) attract initial believers to the protocol and the Game of Links.
The other bounty is offered via our evangelist program (ambassador program). It has 2 types of rewards. Referral rewards paid out in liquid ATOM tokens. Rewards in our mainnet token, CYB, paid out for certain actions, like online content, specific translations, events, etc. To be eligible to receive rewards via this program, applicants need to apply and to be manually approved (the application happens via Metamask, no KYC, etc is required).
Gift detail:We want to give the ability to evaluate Cyber to as many people as possible, without adding complexity such as KYC and/or captcha:- 8% of CYB tokens in Genesis to the Ethereum community

Ambassador program: We have kicked off our evangelist program! The program has 2 types of rewards for the program: liquid ATOM rewards and CYB tokens.
Links you will need: There are NO guidelines or rules for the program itself. Do what you believe will work. However, 2 requirements are necessary to receive rewards:- You must become an acknowledged Evangelist to receive a reward in ATOM or/and CYB. We want to exclude scam behaviour and situations when the project has been evangelised by people without a thorough understanding of the project

Prerequisites or what you will need before you start (2-20 minutes):- Install Metamask
- Create a new ETH wallet, save the keys
- Charge the wallet with some ETH. You will need a small transaction fee when you create the transaction. The fee goes to the balance of cyber~Foundation, the DAO that will govern Cyber.
- Get a GitHub account and a Keybase account
- You will need an ATOM wallet to receive donation rewards (the 10% from each donation you bring)
- Create a Cyber address for CYB rewards. The easiest way to do this is to connect your Ledger device to cyber.page. Learn how-to
Apply to be an evangelist (1-3 minutes):- Go to cyber.page/evangelism and click `Believe` at the bottom of the page
- Make sure your Metamask extension is turned on. Prepare your Cyber & Cosmos addresses, your GitHub and Keybase nicks and the nickname by which you will be recognised
- After you click `Believe` you will be prompted with 5 similar boxes, asking to input the above. After each input, click `confirm`
- A message, prompting you to create the transaction will appear. Click `Create tx`
- This will open your Metamask extension. Follow the instructions, sign the tx. That's it!
 You don't have to wait till we bless you (approve you). You can start using your referral link straight away, however, if you do something wrong and you get kicked out of the program, you will miss out. It is suggested, to wait for the blessing.
Please note, that payouts in CYB will only be done if the results are cyberlinked and content proof exists. Learn how-to. (this goes for ALL types of CYB rewards)
We are not defining quality terms. Most likely, you will still receive a reward for shitty content if the task was done, but expect to be disqualified from the program, or instructed, depending on your will to learn.

Donation Referal rewards and using your link:
Similar to WIki or Tor, Cyber accepts donations. In exchange, donors receive or mainnet token, CYB. Currently, the takeoff round (our name for the donation program) is undergoing slight changes, which will see donors receive more CYB for the same amount of donated ATOM.
During the takeoff round, Cyber is looking to attract 300,000 ATOM donated. For each transaction, via your referral link (or that has your registered nick in the memo) you will be eligible for 10% of the sum. The 10% is NOT deducted from the donation, but from cyber\~Congress.
After you register you can start using your link. All that you have to do is just add `?thanks=yournick` (drop the ` symbols) to any part of the URL of cyber.page!
What do we mean?
The idea is to use your link and give it to people. When they enter the app using this link, your nick gets written down in the database and if the user donated to the takeoff, after using your link to enter cyber.page you get the 10% (rewards will be paid out gradually). Let's take a look at an example. Any of the following are good to use:

Just substitute yournick with the nick you used when you registered i.e:

It is also possible to ask users to add a memo field to their donation transaction. When users donate to the takeoff, they have two options, using their Ledger or creating a custom transaction. If they use their Ledger and entered the app via your link, all is good. You will receive the reward. If they are using a custom transaction to send ATOM from any external wallet, you need to ask them to add yournick to the memo field!

Original protocols of the Internet, such as: TCP/IP, DNS, URL, and HTTP/S have brought the web to a stale point. Considering all the benefits that these protocols have produced for the initial development of the web; along with them, they have brought significant obstacles to the table. Introducing cyber: Cyber is a decentralized google, for provable and relevant answers, without an intermediary opinon. Its mission is to create a universal search protocol to (a) build an open semantic field of the internet with the help of blockchain technology and cyberlinks, and (b) decentralize the infrastructure of the web with the help of blockchain
Cyber is a brand new protocol for adding and searching information onto a distributed knowledge graph. Users create links between 2 IPFS hashes and place them on a knowledge graph by spending bandwidth (this means that transactions are free). Where one hash is the content and the other is the keyword. That content is then dynamically ranked with the help of digital tokens and the current parameters of the networks load. All this is computed by validators. This allows to search data on the web, rank it, query it and create knowledge databases without blackbox intermediaries .
The interesting thing is that such a simple mechanism allows creating a lot of powerful tools as a result. For example: unified semantics, SEO instruments, autonomous robots, and a lot more.
A Gift to over 1 million addresses:We want to give the ability to evaluate the proposed approach for as many agents as possible, but without adding complexity such as KYC and/or captcha.

With that in mind, what I'm trying to say, is that cyber and cyb are not just technological results. They are much more. At its base lay the values of the team behind cyber. We hope that our project can re-create certain values of what we believe the blockchain paradigm stands for. With that said, we are open to communication and will be happy for any feedback on our code.
What can Cyber do?
Cyber can be defined as a smart, distributed computer. It can process, store and compute value in the form of providing answers to questions. At first glance, this might seem like a very primitive utility, suited, maximum, for an innovative browser. But that is far from the case. First of all, it is worth pointing out that Cyber provides useful computations! It is one of the first times in the history of blockchain technology where the computations done by the distributed computer have obvious and useful utility, not just to the end-user, but to the whole world. The forming of relevant and provable answers, that will shape an open semantics field.
An open semantics field lets you shape the internet differently. It allows users with interest in prosperity to receive more by using yesterdays' tools. It can make these instruments fairer, more efficient and more relevant. The basic idea is to create an Intercommunication Knowledge Protocol that can interact with everything that matters to the user. Cyber can account for a large number of use-cases, like: unified semantics, autonomous robots, programmable semantics, personal assistants, language convergence, universal oracles, proof of location and much more. All of these cases are built on semantics. Including simple cases like e-commerce, that can flourish fairly on local markets, thanks to a distributed, accessible knowledge graph. Queries can be delivered straight out of your personal browsing application. Answers can provide subjective relevance that is important at the time, at the place, for this community.
Other cases, like social networks, prediction markets, offline search, etc are also possible but are less global, although can have more reach, based on consumer behavior. The ability to create a Wikipedia without the censorship and blackbox intermediaries is astonishing. The idea of recreating search at its original vision, where you can search for academic papers, search inside of a social network, interact with your own search results, etc, is astonishing.

Cyber: A decentralized Google for provable and relevant answers ( a relevance machine), built with the help of Cosmos-SDK/Tendermint/CUDA 
Currently, we are in between incentivised networks for validators. This means that the next testnet that we will launch (euler-5) is going to be incentivised and validators are going to receive rewards.

 Golos (meaning voice in Russian) is the official, (once) licensed fork (the license was opened to public by Steem) of the steemit network. Golos is now undergoing huge transformation, with an ongoing embedding of some of Bitshares best qualities, like multisig, own tokens, smart coins and so on.
golos.io is a webiste based on the media blockchain resource Golos, which is run on the graphene technology. Just like in steemit, community appreciation is an actual reward by itself, with posts, comments and other participation rewarded in a cryptocurrency token called Golos.
However Golos is, slighlty different to steemit. One of the differences is that Golos has had an ico, rather than bieng based on early mining. The ICO was intnded for .ru internet and has collected just over 600BTC (with just over 9000 participants), which is a crowd funding record for the Russian based internet community.
