1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Does a high pool difficulty lower anyone's profits? on: August 22, 2013, 08:01:42 PM
There has been a lot of discussion about this in the middlecoin.com thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=259649.new#new

Let's move it here, to keep the topics separate.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / New mining pool that pays in bitcoins, but is more profitable -- middlecoin.com on: July 21, 2013, 03:21:20 AM
I've created a new mining pool that pays in bitcoins, but actually mines the most profitable scrypt currencies. It's quite a bit more profitable than mining bitcoins, on a GPU.

If you're concerned with supporting bitcoins instead of altcoins, you're doing that by mining here, since it continuously exchanges altcoins for bitcoins, lowering the value of altcoins, and increasing the value of bitcoins.

What it does:

- Switches to the most profitable coin to mine, like multipool.in, but with several more coins. The switching code is accurate and fast. At the moment, it's monitoring 12 coins, with several more suspended.
- Automatically exchanges coins for bitcoins, and pays miners entirely in bitcoins.
- Predicts the value of the next block, for coins with variable block rewards.

There is no registration. Simply connect your scrypt miner to middlecoin.com:3333 with your bitcoin address as your username, and any password. Payouts are automatic, and occur once a day, if your balance is greater than 10 mBTC.

See the FAQ at http://middlecoin.com/faq.html

I'm cross-posting this from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=259649.0. I hope that's OK.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: July 20, 2013, 10:13:01 PM
I'm announcing www.middlecoin.com

It's a new mining pool with several features.

- Switches to the most profitable coin to mine, like multipool.in, but with several more coins. The switching code is accurate and fast.
- Automatically exchanges coins for bitcoins, and pays miners entirely in bitcoins.

There is no registration. Simply connect your scrypt miner to middlecoin.com:3333 or 8080 with your bitcoin address as your username, and any password. Payouts are automatic, and occur once a day, if your balance is greater than 0.01 BTC, or if you haven't been paid out in 7 days and your balance is greater than 0.001 BTC.

See the FAQ at http://www.middlecoin.com/faq.html

The pool's IRC channel is #middlecoin on FreeNode.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Requesting beta testers for an innovative new mining pool on: July 12, 2013, 02:08:25 AM
I've created a new kind of mining pool that should be more profitable than the current offerings.

This is not a pushpool, or p2pool. It is a new kind of pool that has several advancements.

I want to have some people mine on it, to make sure all the kinks are out before I publicly announce it.

You should have a scrypt miner. Post in here, or message me, to gain access to the beta.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Why aren't my mined blocks showing up in my wallet? on: May 01, 2013, 10:48:43 PM
I'm solo mining CHNCoin, and have 18 Accepted, and 6 rejected blocks. But none of them are making their way into my wallet, which only has some coins I got from a pool.

Why is this? Are they stale? Wouldn't they have been rejected if that was the case?
