1  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] Qty 8 - Bitmain Batch 5 AntMiner S-3 on: October 18, 2015, 04:11:48 PM
SOLD SOLD SOLD

Offering up to Eight Batch 5 S-3's.  I'm the original purchase from BitMain.  All have been hashing reliably since purchase.

Three or four of them overclock to 450-500 GH/s.  This rig used to run oc'd at 3.6-3.7 TH/s.

I've been running them all for efficiency at 200Mhz for several months @ 3.2 TH/s.
One unit gets cranky at stock S-3 clock speed (218.75).  Works perfect at 200Mhz.

Underclocked Stats - I turned them all to stock about 10 minutes ago so future stats will reflect stock speeds.

Rad is a little dirty, not caked with crud.

These sell for $119 new - make me an offer in BTC

SOLD SOLD SOLD
3  Economy / Computer hardware / 49 Port USB Hub for sale on: October 08, 2014, 10:09:57 PM
1 - Cambrionix 49 Port USB 2.0 Hub -
Manual, Antec True Blue 480W PSU, 24-Pin Adapter.  MAKE OFFER in BTC inc. insured shipping.

Evidence suggests this is THE VERY FIRST 49 port hub ever used for bitcoin mining.

I first ran it June 2013 when the block erupters were coming online.  I can not find any earlier posts or pics showing these in bitcoin mining other than my own photos quoted in the pics of mining rigs thread.

Pics from when I first ran it at 48 ports. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7216.msg2764677#msg2764677

This hub is an absolute beast - far better build than the BE hubs.  I used to have one of those too - sold it and kept this one despite one bad port.  I bought this used and port 43 has been bad since I got it.  It could be fixed with a cable if you're good with a soldering iron.

PSU is a Corsair True480 Blue.  Rated 5V@38A.

Like most dense usb hubs, Windows use not recommended - it's 24/7 perfect in Linux.  It ran great for me in xubuntu 12.04 with as many as 48 erupters on it.

Note this is for the hub and PSU only, USB miners and fans not included.  Guarantee that 48/49 ports work and not DOA.  Cannot guarantee functionality with your equipment.

I successfully ran many types of hardware on it.

Scam 1 of 2

What happened::

JointDoctor contracted with skyfromwell to buy a Dragon 1TH/s miner.  He negotiated the deal, supposedly made payment to the wrong bank account, and then never made good on his promise to pay.

Basically I supplied him my bank information in Hong Kong, and the bank has two routing options. He used on SWIFT number with another bank account number.

So looks like a honest mistake.

Upon this, I take a risk to send him a system after he promised to correct error.

But fund never come.

Like new condition with original boxes, USB cable, and 4A@5V power supply - just like they came from Rosewill.  Supplies are all working when pulled last week.  I had 8 Block Erupters hashing no problem - general consensus is that these will carry 6 to 8 Erupters.

All are like new in box.  One has no box.

They both have been tested with 10 ASICMiner USB Block Erupters, and work great.   These work flawlessly under Windows7 and Linux with CGMiner 3.1.1 and the COM Port Drivers.  Newer versions of CGMiner with the WinUSB Drivers have issues with USB3.0 hubs.  I'd bet the USB 3.0 hub issue will be resolved in a future version.  These do NOT work with RaspberryPi.

Known escrow accepted (JohnK, CanaryInTheMine, etc) at buyer cost.  Post here or PM me if you are interested.  Thanks!
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Most convenient way to buy bitcoin? on: May 04, 2013, 01:33:09 AM
Hi all - been lurking for awhile and time to pad my post count.

Been watching from the sidelines for some time and intrigue has finally pushed me into the realm of bitcoin!  Alas, my 660ti doesn't hash very well.  So I've been doing some reading about the new mining hardware, imminent increased difficulty, etc.  I'm thinking I'm going to ease in with just a few btc in a wallet first, then do some reading on mining hardware.

What are you all finding is the most convenient or least expensive way to buy btc?
