1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading using API keys on: December 06, 2018, 09:46:32 AM
Hi, I have bots trading but I would like to use a trading software to trade using my api keys manually.
So, looking online I see metatrade5 and some other but I would like to hear if you have experience with a program that can use any api key from any exchange.
So, my question is this:
Is there a program that lets me trade on any exchange using my api keys?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Shooting Video for Bounty on: October 24, 2018, 05:57:56 AM
Hi,
I do not want to shoot a video showing my screen, but a good looking video with either as an animation, or mix of videos with me speaking on top of them. If I am mixing videos, they should be related to the bounty.
What are the programs you would suggest and what do they do exactly? They should be either free or one time purchase. If subscription, it should not be more than 5-10 dollars a month.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I have bitcoin coming to my waves wallet for some reason on: October 23, 2018, 04:41:14 PM

4  Economy / Economics / Bullish news: Fidelity made it easier for hedge funds to invest in crypto on: October 16, 2018, 07:43:25 AM
This Wall Street company with 7 trillion USD (not million, not billion, but trillion) will handle bitcoin for institutional investors.
Check it out:
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/15/fidelity-launches-trade-execution-and-custody-for-cryptocurrencies.html
Fidelity Investments, which administers more than $7.2 trillion in client assets, announced a new and separate company called Fidelity Digital Asset Services on Monday.
The firm will handle custody for cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and will execute trades on multiple exchanges for investors such as hedge funds and family offices.
Other crypto companies have debuted similar products, but Fidelity is the first Wall Street incumbent to officially provide cryptocurrency solutions such as custody.
“Our goal is to make digitally native assets, such as bitcoin, more accessible to investors,” Fidelity Investments Chairman and CEO Abigail Johnson says.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trades within the spread, but on the tradebook on: October 03, 2018, 07:00:50 AM
Sometimes i see trades that are not on tradebook on exchanges.
For example, the last trade shows 18596 yet the highest buy price is mine with 18570. Is this what they call wash trade?
I mean I have the highest price to buy but it seems that someone is buying tokens outside of the order book. Nothing is happening on the lowest sell order either.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Free online bot for day trading on: October 02, 2018, 07:15:45 AM
I see people saying oh its the darn bots doing the day trading. How safe are they, and how can I get a piece of that action? Also, for free I might add. I mean the bot can get some of the profits but it should not be asking me an advance money, that is how the scams work.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Transaction Per Second on: October 02, 2018, 07:12:10 AM
Ok, how important is it? I mean there are bunch of new blockchains cominp up and they are claiming to have a million Transactions Per Second. How much advantage would there be to it, is it a big deal?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / I want to use mobile data for Bitcoin related web pages on: September 18, 2018, 07:19:45 AM
My mobile data is safer than my Wi-Fi so I want to use my cellphone's mobile data instead of its wifi for certain web pages such as those related to bitcoin. I have been using Chrome. is there any way to do it let me know please. I can always switch on and off Wi-Fi but it becomes a nuisance after a while.
9  Economy / Speculation / When is CBOE ETF? on: August 03, 2018, 11:20:01 AM
When is the CBOE ETF decision by SEC? I think it was supposed to be in August.
I think good news regarding CBOE will come out, and it will continue the bull market.
10  Economy / Speculation / Current BTC price below 8K on: August 01, 2018, 09:46:49 AM
Why bitcoin price keeps going down these days? Is it just the ETF rejection of Vinklevoss twins?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin ETF Request for Comment: 97% Positive on: July 23, 2018, 10:35:45 AM
The request for comment came as a result of the Chicago Board Operations Exchange (Cboe) filing a proposal for a rule of change to list bitcoin (BTC) shares issued by the VanEckSolidX Bitcoin Trust.

New York-based VanEck and blockchain platform SolidX joined forces earlier this year to draw up a bitcoin-based exchange-traded fund (ETF) and worked with Cboe Global Markets to put forward the proposal.

Why is there a bitcoin ETF request for comment?
The rule of change would enable a bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) to be listed on the Cboe BZX exchange – one of four exchanges the Cboe runs. An ETF provides the ability to trade on the stock market with added liquidity and lower fees. Even if you’re not a trader, a positive ruling would undoubtedly cause a surge in the price of bitcoin.

Previous proposals to get permission to list a bitcoin-based ETF, such as that made by the Winklevoss twins for their Gemini exchange last year, have been rejected. This proposal, however, has received twenty times the amount of attention than any previous proposal – 97 percent of which has so far been positive.

Only six out of 210 comments made on the SEC’s bitcoin ETF request for comment were negative. Some detractors felt that the ETF would permit greater manipulation of the market while others suggested the ruling would, in fact, reduce manipulation.

Electrical engineer Cody Parm said:

“With the SEC passing an ETF for Bitcoin, we can now expect further legitimacy, security, and development. I don’t think anyone can deny the usefulness of blockchain technology and Bitcoin as an asset. There are much riskier investments that the SEC has passed for an ETF and this will open the doors to many people waiting at the sidelines.”

Further reports suggest that, other than on the website, the SEC has also been receiving tons of additional fan mail regarding the bitcoin ETF request for comment.

Possible delays on a decision
Initial reports suggested the SEC would make a decision on the ruling on August 10 but since then further investigation revealed the decision wouldn’t be before August 16. Now it would seem that even August 16 is being hopeful, as a popular cryptocurrency Youtube channel points out it could be as long as a year before the ruling is finalized.

Patience is a virtue, as they say, and my feeling is that a longer wait may not be a bad thing – it means the SEC is carefully considering all options. There is no point wishing for a quick decision if that decision is negative. Personally, I’d rather have a ‘yes’ sometime next year than a ‘no’ on August 16.

Considering the amount of positive feedback the SEC has received so far, it seems highly likely that this time it will be a ‘yes’. Here is the source: https://cryptodisrupt.com/bitcoin-etf-request-for-comment-97-positive/?cn-reloaded=1
12  Economy / Economics / ETFs on: July 09, 2018, 09:21:15 AM
I understand that ETFs will bring a positive movement to bitcoin. Anyone knows when more ETFs will come into the game?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Find ICOs that made softcap on: July 05, 2018, 07:09:39 AM
I have been looking for ways to find ICOs that made softcap. I found that icodrops site shows the money they make and what they are about.
Any other ideas, in terms of websites or tools to show me which ICO collected the most money BEFORE it is finished. Usually ICOs that collect a lot of money are successful.
14  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / online crypto mining extensions on: June 10, 2018, 12:35:57 PM
So, a Chrome extension I added turned out to be mining using hanstracker or something. Meanwhile, I used my Lastpass master password to get into Last pass. Any ideas? Should I do something about it?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What are the first red flags those catch your attention in an ICO profile? on: June 02, 2018, 06:35:18 PM
Here are some ICOBench experts, and here is what they think:
  • Luca Cotta:
For me, it is a red flag if the pre-ICO price has discount or bonus of more than 35%.
Another red flag is if there are many ‘big names’ advisors in the team profile. Most of them are there just to show off.
I also want to know if there are an existing platform and project history on GitHub.
I check if the team members tell about the project in their LinkedIn profiles. If they don’t, it’s a big warning for me.
If there are scam accusations on the project thread on Bitcointalk it is also a red flag.
  • Nikolay Zvezdin:
The first red flags for me are: no need for tokens in the proposed business;
no legal and compliance terms, and the project didn’t propose potential compliance issues resolutions;
no product; no relevant real-life business experience.
  • Jason Hung:
Poor quality logo,
bad team profile and
no clear summary or abstract of the project. If I see all this in the ICO profile, I just reject to review it in details, as to me it means that the project team didn’t take the preparation seriously.

What do you look for in an ICO when investing or shilling or doing its bounty?
16  Economy / Exchanges / SORRY BITTREX, BUT I’M LEAVING YOU FOR BINANCE on: June 02, 2018, 11:08:54 AM
It breaks my heart to leave my favorite exchange, but all good things must come to an end as Bittrex is wading right into regulated waters.
Bittrex, you’re such a great exchange as you’ve never given me any real problems. Sure, your withdrawal limits (without ID verification) are small. Yeah, your fees were a bit high. But you’ve always been there for me when I needed you. I even like your new redesign, and I especially enjoyed our night mode together.

Alright, I’ll stop with the lovelorn analogies here and get right to it.

All users should be aware that Bittrex is currently registered in Seattle, Washington, in the United States.

At first, this may not seem like a big issue. However, this is the exact same state where another popular exchange started out: Poloniex. That is, until they got bought by Circle, a Goldman Sachs-backed startup out of Boston, Massachusetts, where Poloniex now resides.

So what’s the big deal?

On Monday, Bitcoinist reported that Poloniex “broke its promises” to users by implementing a new KYC (know-your-customer) policy regardless of whether US dollars were ever involved.

This means that the withdrawal limit for Poloniex for legacy users suddenly became $0, even if you only traded crypto-to-crypto. Therefore, your account can now only be “reactivated” if you provide a government-issued ID. Simply put, your funds are now held hostage.

The exchange started circulating emails to legacy account holders notifying them of the changes, which read:

We are requiring that all legacy Poloniex accounts become verified through the latest version of our verification portal […]. During the process, you’ll be asked to provide a verification photo of yourself as well as a photo of a valid government-issued ID card or passport.

Yesterday, Bitcoinist reported that Bittrex, which has also been growing rapidly, has confirmed a deal with a New York-based bank that would allow its customers to buy Bitcoin with US dollars.

The news was largely well-received by the crypto space. Bittrex CEO Bill Shihara declared it a watershed moment, saying:

It’s been a long path. […] It’s not just about banks being able to trust Bittrex. It’s about banks being able to trust crypto in general. And I think it’s really showing that crypto is turning the corner in terms of mainstream acceptance.

This is all fine and well, but one cannot help but ask: if Bittrex wants banks to “trust crypto,” how long before legacy Bittrex users get ‘Poloniex’d’? Will their accounts also be deactivated until a government-issued ID and a photograph are provided?

I cannot help but feel the looming risk for my funds.

Moreover, it has become a mantra for experienced crypto traders not to hold significant amounts on custodial exchanges, not to provide personal information because of hacking risks, and to always control your own keys.

Hence, I believe it’s high-time for me to migrate to the next best thing: Binance.

17  Local / Konu Dışı / Amazix on: May 31, 2018, 11:07:54 AM
Telegramda yazisiyorduk ama buraya yazdiklarimi kopyalamak istedim, belki insanlara faydasi olur.
Malum Amazix diye bir bounty manager grubu var, bir suredir kampanyalar duzenliyorlardi. Surada yazdiklarina gore:
https://medium.com/amazix/introducing-amazix-community-rewards-41313bd4c896
Artik makale yazarlarini kendileri davet edecek, bounty post etmeyeceklermis.
O yuzden amazix kaybedecektir.
Yazdiklarina bak:
Essentially, this means that participants can no longer be rewarded based on or dependent on the monies raised during a crowdfund
Bounty isinden cikiyorlar iyice, artik tanidik kim varsa yazdirsinlar yazilarini.

Fikirlerinizi bekliyorum.

18  Local / Alternatif Kripto-Paralar / ICO yatirim yapmak on: May 31, 2018, 08:27:18 AM
Eskiden ICO aldiktan sonra aldiginiz fiyatlarin kat kat ustune cikiyordu, ICO dan alan acaip kar ediyordu. Simdi piyasalar kotu, her gun ETH BTC fiyati artmiyor, tam tersine dusuyor. O yuzden satislar muthis dustu, ICO yapmak cok zorlasti.
O zaman bu ICO lara yapilan milyonlarca dolar yatirimi kim yapiyor sizce? Bence guzel bir soru, insanlar keriz mi simdi fiyati dusecek seye habire yatirim yapsin?

20  Economy / Speculation / Do you know the Estimated Price of Bitcoin in 2019? You will be surprised. on: May 21, 2018, 12:59:20 PM
Analytical agency Fundstrat Global Advisors LLK published its Forecast.
Bitcoin could soar as high as $64,000 next year, investment research firm Fundstrat predicts
"We believe the current path of hash power growth supports a BTC price of about $36,000 by 2019 year end, with a $20,000-$64,000 range," Sam Doctor, head of data science research at Fundstrat, said in a report. Hash power refers to the processing power computers need to generate bitcoins.
That's roughly four times or more from bitcoin's price Thursday of near $9,300.
The economics of bitcoin mining also likely create a support level for the cryptocurrency, Doctor said.
