2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / [ANN] TheCryptoPool.com | New and Old coin Friendly | 1% Mining fee on: September 21, 2017, 04:55:47 AM
Welcome to TheCryptoPool.com. A fast and friendly pool, fully customized off of the yiimp platform.

One of the things that will set http://thecryptopool.com apart from your other pool choices is that if you don't see a coin listed on our pool that you would like to mine, simply fill out the contact form with the coin name and the link to the github and we will add it within 24 hours. The coin must be compatible with one of our algorithm types; scrypt, m7m, etc, for the 24 hour turn around. IF not we will still get it setup with in 3 business days.

So if you are a coin developer this means you will ALWAYS have a pool for your coin to call home.

All coins have a low 1% mining fee and payouts are done every two hours. There is no user registration needed. And you can check your stats and payouts anytime using your wallet address. We mine and payout in the coins currency so please do not mine with your BTC wallet address.

Join our growing Discord channel and sign up site push notifications so you always know whats happening over at http://thecryptopool.com

Happy Mining!

4  Bitcoin / Project Development / Completed - Coin Build Script for Ubuntu 16.04 on: August 31, 2017, 04:47:12 AM
Hey everyone

So I got tired of the back and forth commands for installing coins on my server, so I wrote up a little automatic installation script for it.

The script asks you two questions in the beginning; coin name - and then the github link for the coin. After that just sit back and watch it roll.

This should work for the majority of the coins out there and now has a check for the obj folder and creates it if missing. This has been built and tested on Ubuntu 16.04.

What this script does NOT do, is install any required software packages for the coin building. It assumes you already have that done. And besides the obj missing directory issue does not assist with any other build errors.

You can find it over on my github at https://github.com/crombiecrunch/cryptoautobuild

And if you are looking for a sweet yiimp installation script thats on my github as well

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / New Installation script for yiimp on: August 26, 2017, 07:27:09 AM
Hey everyone! First off, mods if wrong place please move.

I've wrote a nice little installation script for yiimp. This is for a fresh server running Ubuntu 16.04 and setup with a user account and not root.

While I did add some server security to the script, it is every server owners responsibility to fully secure their own servers. After the installation you will still need to customize your serverconfig.php file to your liking, add your API keys, and build/add your coins to the control panel.

There will be several wallets already in yiimp. These have nothing to do with the installation script and are from the database import from the yiimp github.

If you need further assistance we have a small but growing discord channel at https://discord.gg/uQ5wdTC

*****Do not run the script as root*****

This script has an interactive beginning and will ask for the following information:

Your time zone
Server Name
Support Email Address
Server Admin Email Address
If you would like fail2ban installed
If you would like to have SSL (LetsEncrypt) installed - Your domain must be pointed to your server prior to running the script or SSL will fail to install.
New custom location for yiimp admin login.

What the script does during installation:

. Update and Upgrade Ubuntu Packages
. Install Aptitude
. Install and configure Nginx
. Install MariaDB with random root password
. Install php7
. Install various dev packages required for building blocknotify and stratum
. Generates Random password for blocknotify prior to building and builds.
. Install SendMail
. Install Fail2Ban if selected
. Install and configur phpmyadmin with random password for phpmyadmin user
. Clone yiimp build packages, create directory structure, set file permissions, and more
. Update server clock
. Install LetsEncrypt if selected
. Create yiimp database, create 2 users with random passwords - passwords saved in ~/.my.cnf
. Import the sql dumps from yiimp
. Create base yiimp serverconfig.php file to get you going
. Updates all directory permissions

All passwords are generated randomly during the installation and saved to ~/.my.cnf, blocknotify password can be found in any of the config files in /var/stratum/config.

you can find it over at https://github.com/crombiecrunch/yiimp_install_scrypt and if you are looking for a quick and easy way to build wallets, check out https://github.com/crombiecrunch/cryptoautobuild which you just need to enter the coin name and link to the github and it builds the coin for you!

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Best GPU miner and config for Nvidia M60 cards on: August 19, 2017, 02:40:57 PM
I run 4 servers each with 2 Nvidia M60 graphics cards. Ive played around with a few different miners but havent been impressed with hash rates.

Any thoughts on the best miner and a good config setup to push these cards?
