1  Economy / Lending / 0.05 BTC loan. on: August 06, 2016, 03:57:11 AM
I'm not active on here but I'm super active on reddit..
[deleted]

Anyway if you don't know me, I used to be a miner. Now I use use Bitcoin in my daily life. I'm in need of 0.05 btc as I'm short for a new purchase, I'll gladly pay back 0.054 BTC in a week. I know you guys go mad about collateral, so I can offer this account & my reddit one as collateral?

Collateral is used to make back losses, which is something you shouldn't worry about because I will not be one of the scammers you see here. Just search "ashaw596" and you'll find my profile everywhere.

Thanks.

Sorry my account was hacked. Disreguard this.
2  Economy / Speculation / So did China ask all banks not to invest in Bitcoins or only their central bank? on: December 05, 2013, 05:10:06 PM
I'm partially ask this because I really don't know.

But also because the use of the word ban is really annoying me.

They pretty much just warned everyone its a really volatile thing to invest in (which I hope everyone could already tell) and that their banks shouldn't deal with it because its too risky of an investment.
3  Economy / Speculation / Does the bitcoin rise make any of you feel as scared as I do? on: November 19, 2013, 03:30:43 AM
After, the bitcoin increase (I bought in when it was about $150) and does it make any of you feel as nervous as me? I suddenly realize I have ALOT of money in bitcoins. My entire life savings (well I'm just a college student so it doesn't amount to TOO much but after that over 400% returns its a large amount of money to me). I feel a drop coming, but I'm not sure and I sold a couple bitcoins earlier and feel bad about it, so I'm so nervous on when I should sell (or if I should sell) and how much to sell. Its freaking me out!!!!
4  Economy / Auctions / Klondike 16 ASIC Bitcoin miner (Estimated 4.5 GHash/sec) from steamboat batch 3 on: August 26, 2013, 07:46:32 PM
Auction Ends 2013-09-02, 01:00 am EST

I am selling a Klondike 16 from batch 3 of the steamboat group purchase.
It is expected to be able to mine up at 4.5 Ghash/s (possibly more with overclocking).
It will come with the fully assembled pcb, a heat sink, and a fan.
You will be able to assemble the fully operational unit with just a screwdriver.
All you need to is to plug it into a power supply with pci-express to start hashing.

Order for chips was submitted to Avalon on May 22, 2013 and the chips are expected to arrive within a couple days (I can't guarantee this timeframe however, because it is outside of my control). I will ship the Klondike 16 miner to you as soon as I receive it.

5  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / New Profitability Calculator that accounts for Lead Time on: June 22, 2013, 05:21:20 AM
Hey everyone,
I've been trying to do calculations about difficulty and profitability for some of the group buy and getting tired for using google.com for my calculations so I made a profitability calculator that allows you to estimate profitability with lead time. I thought that I'd publish it so you guys can use it if you want. The UI doesn't look the best yet and I plan on outputting a couple more calculations and trying to put in some default "profiles" for some of the new miners in the pipeline. Please PM or post if you have any suggestions or find any bugs.

http://coinfaucets.com/calculator/index.php

Warning: This site only gives estimates of profitability. Use at your own risk.

PS: The faucet doesn't work. I thought about trying to set one up and then realized that the .0005 (now .0001) fee sort gets in the way of that and then I got really busy.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Total amoubt of transaction fees being paid on: June 16, 2013, 10:14:02 PM
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew the average ammount of transaction fees that are currently included in ewch block. Does anyone know how to find this data?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 51% Attack with pools? on: June 06, 2013, 01:47:32 PM
I'm not that us about the numbers, but I think that currently a couple mining pools control a large percentage of the bitcoin Hashrate. Would it be possible for a couple pools together to launch 51% attacks?

I'm not very sure about the technical details so. I'm asking a 2 part question. How much control do pool operators have over the miners and how large are the biggest pools?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / So.... How long until the government says that terrorists use bitcoins. on: May 26, 2013, 02:57:57 PM
Seriously. Just one of them says they bought a couple weapons using bitcoins and we'll be SCREWED......

Bets anyone?
9  Economy / Speculation / Velocity of Bitcoin on: May 23, 2013, 02:10:56 PM
You know, I did a quick calculation, and about 10% of the entire bitcoin volume is transacted every day (hopefully I didn't misplace a zero). Thats pretty high. Anyone economists here actually know if this is a good thing or a bad thing and what it might do to the value of bitcoins?
10  Other / Meta / Anti-Ripple Ads on: May 23, 2013, 12:50:51 AM
I'm just wondering, who exactly is paying for these anti-ripple ads I keep seeing on this website. (At least I don't see BFL ads anymore)

(I tried to get a screenshot of the ads, but now all I'm getting are coinlenders.com ads.)
11  Other / Beginners & Help / BIP 16 & BIP 17 on: May 09, 2013, 05:54:00 PM
I was just reading some old posts about and was wondering what happened to them exactly.

I can't seem to find any posts on them after the end of January. Did they get implemented? (I don't think they have yet) Did the die?

Just wondering.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / PPCoin on: May 08, 2013, 11:01:18 PM
Just wondering why PPC is so unpopular. It seems like an interesting alt-currency and it implements proof of stake. It doesn't appear that too many people use it though.
