We are big fans of decentralisation and equihash is memory-oriented Proof-of-Work algorithm (your mining power is mostly determined by size of your RAM).

Furthermore, VoteCoin provides three main advantages:

• No Founders Reward: Zcash implements Founders Reward, where 20% of coins are transferred to the Zcash developers and investors during the first years.

Rough estimate indicates 80% reduction of proving time, and a 98% reduction in memory usage, which is simply awesome.
