1  Other / Beginners & Help / Are scammers getting dumber? Or is it people they aim for are so naïve? on: May 30, 2021, 08:06:36 AM
Almost every day I read a topic of someone been scammed out of money. Well, this is a course of life and scams will exist as long as exists human race. What makes me laugh though is methods scammers use lately. Nothing inventive, not even an attempt to make it look legit. "Successful trader will make you 50% in an hour". "BTC refund department". "BTC doubler". And dozens of others so obvious one has to be a newborn baby to fall for. I wouldn't be surprised if  soon there will be messages from "BTC Support Department" or anything along these lines. How can anyone sane fall for this?

I received a call from my "bank support line" a while ago. Now these people were real con artists, they had all my data, used correct chat scripts etc. It all sounded so legit I almost missed the moment they asked me for SMS confirmation code, at which point I realized it's a scam. Not being sympathetic to these guys but at least they were highly professional and inventive scammers, unlike those I mentioned above.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Why people are scared to use their crypto? on: May 04, 2021, 09:12:12 AM
It's really funny to watch people talk about BTC and other cryptocurrencies  bringing them financial freedom, ease of payments, mass adoption blah blah and at the same time the very same people freak out when they have to (or asked to) make a payment in crypto. Especially payments for overseas transactions.

If anyone wants to screw you with bank transfer - they will. And if they don't - your bank will screw you with fees and exchange rates.
If anyone wants to screw you with and king of digital payment (Paypal etc) - they will.
If anyone wants to screw you with cash payment - they will (well, putting a gun to your head is a bit less convenient that using a computer, but there are still people out there that will do it).
Crypto is no different.

And don't tell me that bank transfers/Paypal etc are "secure". Yes, you might get your money back if something goes wrong. But regardless of what they tell you to justify their outrageous fees refund process can take months and months and there's no real guarantee, while bad guys have already cashed your payment and are enjoying themselves.

3  Local / Кодеры / Настройки QT wallet -Помогите разобраться on: September 06, 2017, 07:02:14 PM
Уважаемые, может кто-нибудь просветить по настройкам .conf файла. Хелпы читала, но на что влияет изменение тех или иных параметров так и не смогла разобраться. Особо интересует тонкая настройка параметров POS-майнинга.
