I am asking $250 USD + Shipping.  Will also accept equivalent amount in bitcoins (about 53-54 BTC currently given Mt gox rates).

Shipping for US customers will be $9 for Priority Mail w/ Insurance.  International it will cost more.

I can provide pictures upon request.
3  Economy / Goods / 2x 5850's and 1x 5830 GPU's on: August 09, 2011, 07:48:52 AM
I have 3 cards I'm interested in selling.

All 3 cards have been used in the same mining rig for about 2 months.  Temps never above 70C.  5850's can go higher but I ran them at 840Mhz. 5830 ran at 950Mhz.

2x 5850's are Saphire cards.  1x 5830 is an XFX card.

Looking for: 20 BTC per 5850 or 15 for the 5830.

Offers welcomed.
4  Bitcoin / Mining / Are you ready for an 80% difficulty increase in about a week? on: June 12, 2011, 12:59:47 AM
Currently 10.5 blocks are being solved per hour.  I'm guessing that the next difficulty increase will be quite high... about 80%.  Thats just my guess, if you have an actual estimation based on the current rate, post.

With the huge dip in BTC price, and the difficulty increase coming in a week, this could become not very profitable very quickly!  The price needs to increase again in 1 week or a lot of people will be forced to stop mining!
5  Bitcoin / Mining / 2x 5850's and 1x 5830 in the same machine? on: June 02, 2011, 08:48:29 AM
I have 2x 5850's in an existing miner machine.

I have a spare 5830, and I'd like to use it, but need a ribbon cable to PCI-E 1x.

My main question is, how do you manage overclocking different cards?

MSI afterburner only has 1 slider.  Any tips or tricks?

Thanks!
6  Bitcoin / Mining / BTC guild vs deepbit on: June 01, 2011, 11:14:53 PM
First off, I've been mining for about 4 weeks now.

I started off at deepbit, but then switched to BTC guild when deepbit had the DDOS a few days ago.

During the same difficulty level (current level) I've been getting about 10-20% less over at BTC guild than I've been getting @ deepbit.

I've not noticed a single minute of downtime, yet I've noticed downtime at deepbit, but not much.

What I did as a test is:

I left my 2x 5850 rig (640M hashes) @ BTC guild  for the last 24hrs.  It generated about 1.25 BTC including unconfirmed blocks.

I put my 2x 5830 rig (550M hashes) @ deepbit for the last 24hrs.  It generated about 1.49 BTC.

So deepbit wins, even though my mining rig @ BTC guild has more than a 15% faster hash rate.

When I had both rigs there for 3 days prior, I was only getting 2.2 BTC a day average.  When I was at deepbit averaging 2.4-3 BTC at the same difficulty level.

I know there is some "luck" to mining, but with 4 days of testing and getting poor results at BTC guild, I'm quite skeptical...

Are we being scammed at BTC Guild?  Thoughts?
7  Bitcoin / Mining / Underclock 5850 Memory? on: May 21, 2011, 07:53:06 AM
So I have 2x 5830's in another machine, and have the Core turned from 800 to 965Mhz with no stability issues and I keep temps <80.

I just got 2x 5850's and put them in a new rig.  The cards are Saphire Extreme's.

I tried underclocking the memory to 500Mhz.  Instantly froze the entire screen.  So I then rebooted and just tried a small downclock.

I downclocked to 900Mhz.  I looked at my Killawatt meter and was surprised to see the wattage INCREASE by about 30 watts!

Why would it use more power when I'm turning down the memory clock?!?!  Doesn't make any sense.  I reduced the wattage significantly on my 5830's by downclocking the memory.

I'm using MSI afterburner btw.

Any suggestions, appreciated and I just might tip someone. Smiley

9  Bitcoin / Mining / Mining on 9600M GT with Phoenix 1.4 on: May 18, 2011, 10:55:26 AM
My friend is trying to mine on his laptop (just as a test).

He has a 9600M GT.  We got Phoenix 1.4 installed and bitcoin.

Set him up with deepbit.  Made .bat file and he got an error that says:

memoryloadlibrary failed loadng pyopencl\_cl.pyd

I've only used ATI cards, but I assume he is missing a driver needed?  Something OpenCL/CUDA related?

This is the .bat file we tried:

"phoenix -u http://youremailhere@email.com:passwordhere@deepbit.net:8332/ -k poclbm DEVICE=0 AGGRESSION=7 WORKSIZE=128"

Please advise.  Thanks!
10  Bitcoin / Mining / Crossfire mining? on: May 12, 2011, 03:57:26 AM
I think some people on the forums mine with corssfire set up?

Currently I'm mining with no crossfire bridge.  If I enable crossfire will efficiency decrease?  How does that work?

I would like to be able to use crossfire when I game.

Thanks!

12  Bitcoin / Mining / Multiple GPU mining temperature on: May 11, 2011, 11:22:23 PM
I just added a second 5830 to my rig.

The temp of the 2nd card is in the 75-85 range depending on the fan speed and my overclock.

The 1st card is in the 55-65 range.

---------------------

What temperatures are your hottest cards running?

How long have you run them that way 24/7?

I tend to think that in the 80's is getting too hot, what do you guys think?
13  Bitcoin / Mining / 2nd GPU = 14% CPU usage on: May 11, 2011, 09:34:35 PM
I just started mining last week.

I added a 2nd 5830 to my rig.

Before CPU usage was 1% on my Core i7 930.

With the 2nd GPU, my CPU is @ 14% usage when mining and when the 2nd instance of Phoenix 1.4 is open.

What should I do to get CPU usage down?

I'm on Win7 64bit.

Thanks!
14  Bitcoin / Mining / Post your: Measured wattage of your mining rig! on: May 09, 2011, 04:32:33 AM
I know several people here have measured the actual power consumption of their rigs.

I measure mine using a kill a watt meter.

I just got into mining about 5 days ago, and I'm using my primary / gaming computer to mine.

I've ordered a second video card to double my output and increase power efficiency.

Please post:

1) Brief System specs
2) Mhash/second
3) Power consumption.

I'll start:

1) Core i7 930, 6GB DDR3-1600, 1TB HD, 1 SSD, 600W ModXstream PSU, 1 DVD drive, XFX 5830, Asus Sabertooth X58.
2) Currently at 285 Mhash/sec @ 965/185 clocks
3) Average 250 Watts when mining

16  Bitcoin / Mining / Easiest way to cash out small amounts? on: May 06, 2011, 03:53:07 AM
I just started mining this week.  Have about 5BTC.  I'd like to cash it out just to see how it works.

I read there was a service like coinpal or whatever that was shut down.

Whats currently the easiest way to cash out small amounts for money or gift cards, or prepaid credit/debit cards?

Thanks!
