1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / KYC at end of bounty campaign on: April 04, 2018, 12:12:39 PM
What do you think about bounty campaigns that announce their KYC check at the end of the campaign? Many bounty hunters simply don't want to do that and the bounty managers or the ICO teams get free promotion for their projects.

Is this fair?

Every bounty thread should clearly state, wether there will be a KYC or not. We should ask the admins for changing the rules regarding this issue.

What do you think?
2  Other / Meta / Please ban "FB/Twitter Report" posts on: February 03, 2018, 01:07:30 AM
It is really annoying to see this huge spam in the Altcoin Bounty section every day. Many questions go under in the flood of these posts. Why don't they use Google forms for that?

Please ban:
  • "Facebook & Twitter report" posts
  • "Proof of authentication" posts
  • "Reserve for XXX translation" posts

Edit: With "ban" I mean to forbid those restrictions like report or authentication through posting in the bounty thread. It worked good with the "Joined airdrop" ban, maybe it will have success here, too?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 🔴 🔴 🔴 Attention: KYC for Bounties 🔴 🔴 🔴 on: January 22, 2018, 11:58:10 AM
More and more bounty campaigns want you to do a KYC and send them all your personal data (id card, driver's license, address, phone number...).
Guys, don't easily give your personal data away and risk an identity fraud or identity theft.

What is identity fraud?
Quote
"Identity fraud is the use by one person of another person's personal information, without authorization, to commit a crime or to deceive or defraud that other person or a third person. Most identity fraud is committed in the context of financial advantage, such as accessing a victim's credit card, bank or loan accounts. False or forged identity documents have been used in criminal activity (such as to gain access to security areas) or in dealings with government agencies, such as immigration. Often today, the identities of real persons are used in the preparation of these false documents."
It simply means that someone can use your identity to commit crime in any possible way.

What are the consequences of identity fraud?
- False applications for loans and credit cards
- Fraudulent withdrawals from bank accounts
- Fraudulent use of telephone calling cards or online accounts
- Obtaining other goods or privileges which the criminal might be denied if he were to use his real name

What Can You Do If You've Become a Victim of Identity Theft?
- Call the companies where you know the fraud occurred
- Place a fraud alert and get your credit reports
- Report identity theft to the FTC (IdentityTheft.gov)
- file a report with your local police department

Be careful with the personal data you share online.

Thank you for the Merit, I appreciate it much.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoin calendar with important dates on: December 24, 2017, 09:57:11 PM
Is there a calendar that lists all important dates of altcoins like Neo, OMG, ETH, BTC...? I know that some of them have roadmaps, but it would be much easier if there was a website. If there is none, I suggest someone to create a website dedicated to that. It will for sure give you some profit through ads and donations.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Gold mining with mac? on: November 15, 2017, 04:12:51 PM
I have Mac OS installed on my system. I found the miner for Windows, but is there also a mining software for Mac?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Wikipedia for Cryptoworld? on: November 01, 2017, 01:38:48 PM
Is there a Wiki for all the topics belonging to cryptocurrencies/altcoins? If not, why don't we create one?
It would really help newbies to understand everything without opening a thread every day.

We can explain many terms like:
  • Airdrop
  • Bounty
  • Fork
  • ICO
  • ERC20
  • Blockchain
  • etc.

This would reduce many unnecessary questions/threads and with it spam.
9  Other / Meta / bitcointalk.to = bitcointalk.org ? on: October 20, 2017, 08:37:41 PM
Hi guys,
I just discovered that there is a Bitcoin Forum with ".to" domain. Is it the same forum like this one or is it a phishing website?

Edit: I also found out that "bitcointalk.org" is converted to "bitcointalk.to". Curious... What's the point of this? Can someone please explain to me?
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Wallet for upcoming airdrops & splits on: October 02, 2017, 10:36:00 AM
Hello guys,
is there a wallet that is suitable for nearly every upcoming airdrop or split (e.g. Bitcoin Cash, OMG, NEO Gas, Segwit2X, BTC Gold...)? I know that there are hardware wallets which support most of the airdrops, but I'm looking for a web or desktop wallet. I want to hold my cryptocurrencies in one or max. two wallets.
