7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Has the Bitcoin community thought fix for hard disk size issue ? on: October 04, 2017, 08:04:03 AM
The Blockchain size has already gone above 100 GB.
Next year, it will be around 400 GB and by end of 2020, we are looking at multiple terabytes.

Soon, time will come when the Blockchain size will overtake the capacity of even the most expensive hard drive affordable by the average guy.

What happens then? Is there any fix for that?

Besides, there is also the problem of a new user having to spend the entire year's bandwidth expense just to download the wallet initially.
What is the solution to that?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why can't core derail the Segwit2X by launching the Bitcoin Hardfork ? on: October 04, 2017, 03:44:12 AM
Several Core developers began working on a safe hard fork proposal. The game theory behind a renewed push, right now, would give a decisive blow to 2X supporters.

I know a lot of people (including me) are against any hard fork. But I also know it's probably going to happen sooner or later. Why not use it to be done with the poisonous BCASH and 2X movements? It would be a win for everyone who loves Bitcoin.
