Jed McCaleb, co-founder of Ripple, seems to want to set lower expectations for Ripple as he comes out to say that decentralisation is important in the success of a cryptocurrency. That would seem like a strange statement from him because Ripple is not decentralised. Perhaps he knows something that has yet to be announced yet? After all, he even says that Ripple will be competing against SWIFT and PayPal, both of whom are well established. He then tries to play up the chances of Stellar, but unfortunately most of the attention will be on his comments towards Ripple. https://www.cryptoinfomag.com/2018/03/25/ripple-co-founder-says-ripple-is-missing-a-critical-success-factor/

Based on a pricing model by Fundstrat, the cost of mining BTC is $8,038. This should thus be the a support level where the miners will rather hodl their coins than to sell at a loss. The next fundamental support level is $3,000 to $4,000, where the shit hits the fan and miners are actually forced to shutdown. Given that BTC has a high level of correlation with altcoins, any price support for BTC will almost inevitably act as a price support for altcoins as well. Keep calm and hodl on! https://www.cryptoinfomag.com/2018/03/17/btc-may-be-hitting-an-price-support-level-soon/

The US Marshals will be auctioning off approximately 2,170 BTC in slightly more than a week. There is already some discussion on whether this will affect BTC prices and subsequently altcoin prices as there is already some fear over what happened during the Mt.Gox dump. The good news is that it seems like the markets will not be involved in this transaction and thus the impact should be minimal. What do you think? https://www.cryptoinfomag.com/2018/03/11/us-marshals-auctioning-off-about-2170-btc/

The supporters of XRP better watch out for the progress made by SWIFT. SWIFT is the "old-tech" incumbent and they were outmaneuvered by Ripple. However, they are slowly sharpening their swords and getting ready to reclaim their territory. An advantage that SWIFT has over Ripple is that SWIFT was conceived and owned by the banks, and the banks may have made false overtures to Ripple to learn more about their technology and build up competency on the blockchain before inflicting deep wounds. Sounds like the makings of a cryptocurrency Game of Thrones! https://www.cryptoinfomag.com/2018/03/08/ripple-will-be-the-victim-of-a-swift-counterattack/

Not sure what this means for investors of the coin. There seems to be an ongoing spat where the IOTA team did not agree on objective issues raised by security professionals and cryptographers. Seems like they are also vulnerable to a reply attack that can be easily fixed (in their own words) but they are not going to do anything about it! https://www.cryptoinfomag.com/2018/02/28/be-wary-of-iota/

I see that many people are worried about timing the markets and whether they should hodl or sodl. If you are going to invest for the long term in cryptocurrencies, you can consider a strategy called "dollar cost averaging" to reduce the level of emotion behind your investment decisions. The link below gives a brief explanation on the concept. https://www.cryptoinfomag.com/2018/01/06/taking-the-emotion-out-of-investing/

I was thinking of using 1 psu to power gpus in 2 different rigs. Will there be any issues if 1 rig goes down but the psu still supplies power?
