I am looking to make my website and I would like to purchase a domain name and the hosting itself. I know there are places I can buy domains with BTC but I haven't done it yet because some hosting companies offer free domains with the purchase of hosting.

I am looking for shared website hosting to start my website off with and as such I have two questions:

• What are the best hosting companies that accept bitcoin? If this question has already been asked, please point me to the thread.
• Right now I am thinking that I would like one of the power or pro plans from inmotion hosting (https://secure1.inmotionhosting.com/new_inor/choose_package.php?indfdwm=1&sb1w=yes&package=50&remind=24). Of course, I cannot pay for that with bitcoin directly so if a viable alternative hosting service that accepts bitcoin cannot be found, I would like to pay someone with BTC and have them pay for the hosting with inmotion for me please. Of course, I will pay a tip on top of what the plan costs for your troubles.

Also, if there are any other better web hosting services out there, please let me know.

The rig is open-air for maximum cooling and uses windows 8 so it is easy to setup and I can provide additional support if desired. Up until now I used reaper for solo mining scrypt coins and cgminer for pool mining. I have recently decided that I would like to use cgminer for pool and solo mining. I recently tried to solo mine a new scrypt coin and after the client launched as server with the correct .conf file (hostname was 127.0.0.1 and the port was 9332) and the line in the .bat was: cgminer --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:9332/ -u username -p password -I 20.

When I ran the batch file, the error I got in cgminer was: No suitable long poll found for http://127.0.0.1:9332

Why did I receive that error message? What does it mean? How do I resolve it?

I have a pretty fast CPU in one of my mining rigs so I was wondering:
Which one would be more profitable across time: using that CPU power to mine quarkcoin or to mine primecoin? I realize that primecoin has the added benefit of having a scientific benefit with regard to prime numbers (and that is why I am mining it right now), but it just occurred to me that perhaps quarkcoin would be more profitable.

To start it out, I decided to only use two of the GPUs just to make sure that it worked. After some fiddling (plugging in monitors, etc.) I got the two 7950s to hash away in cgminer at intensity 20 at roughly 630-640 khash each. Then I decided that I wanted another GPU so I shut the rig down. I then used a 16x to 16x riser cable and plugged another 7950 into a 16x PCI slot on the motherbaord. Then I plugged in the necessary 2x8 pin connectors to give the card power and the molex connector into the PCI riser cable. Then when I turned on the compter on, it did not even recognize the card. After I restarted the card, it finally did recognize it but when I activated cgminer and tried to mine on it I only got roughly 50 khash out of it or so. I have switched out riser cables and I have plenty of power so I know they are not the factors causing the error. I have also tried plugging in monitors to the cards and that did not work either.

Does anyone know what could be going wrong/have any suggestions? I have tried everything I could think of and would be extremely grateful for any assistance. Is there anything I should change in the BIOS?

I am interested in generating vanity addresses for myself and have multiple GPUs on hand to do so. Here is my question: is it possible to use the gpu version of the vanity address software on multiple GPUs for a higher generation rate or is it limited to only one GPU?

Here is the line I am running now:
oclvanitygen -d 0 -k -o filename.txt 1cryptopi3

That takes quite a long time to run on only one 7950, but my rig has multiple of them so I would like to know if I can use all the 7950s in my rig to generate that address or if I am only limited to one.

Okay so I just transferred 300 XPM to my Vircurex account and I enabled google authenticator. Then I saved my Google one time password. However, now when I try to log in, it says my google one time password is incorrect. I then tried to reset my password and it still asks me for my google pass which it still says is wrong. Help! I can't access my account with 300 (260 actually) XPM in it.

I thought recently I would get into mining (altcoins) via gpu. All of my parts came in a couple of days ago. I am using a gigabyte motherboard with an ivy bridge processor coupled with a few 7950 sapphire gpus. When I finally assembled the rig, I was dismayed to see that my monitor was not being fed correctly (no picture). I have a vga monitor plugged directly up to the motherboard and an hdmi monitor plugged into a 7950.

The problem I am having is as follows:
I read that I have to disable integrated graphics on the motherboard to get the gpus to work. Once I have done that, neither of the displays is fed a picture so I can't see anything. If I make integrated graphics be on auto, then it the displays still do not work. If I switch integrated graphics to enabled, then the vga display (plugged directly into the motherboard) turns on because the internal graphics are powering the display. I am using Windows 8 and when I go into devices, I can see the card in devices, but how can I test the card to see if I actually have access to it? Since the display is being fed by internal graphics and not the 7950, I do not know if I really have access to the card and would like to know how I can confirm that I have access to the card.

I've got almost all of the details for my new rig sorted out except for the motherboard because I have a question regarding it. My understanding is that 1x (pci) means it has one data lane and 16x means it has 16 data lanes. I am using 7950 cards, FYI. When purchasing a motherboard, does it matter if the 7950 cards are attached to a 1x or a 16x pci? What I really mean is: will a 7950 card hooked up to a 1x pci have a lower hash rate than one hooked up to a 16x pci? Or does it not matter which type of pci the cards are attached to?

• exactly which card is best in terms of power/hashrate for mining (I pay $.13/kwh)?
• for the best card, how much power does it consume and what hashrate does it produce?
• can I CPU mine and GPU mine at the same time (does it affect the GPUs)?
• can rigs still efficiently function while GPU mining with 6 GPUs (windows 8 64 bit)?
• what is the best PSU (or combination of two PSUs) for 6 of the best GPUs plus a maxed out i7 3770k?

I have never GPU mined a currency before. I recently decided that I would like to get involved in mining (via a dedicated GPU mining rig). I also decided that my rig will probably generate 3-6 Mhashes for scrypt with 4-8 7970s (is that right?).

I would like to assemble a spreadsheet in order to see if the costs are worth it. My plan is to mine LTC in spare time and then mine new/popular coins as they come out or as they gain value. My questions are twofold:

• is it, in your opinion, worth it to build a rig right now?
• for any given coin at any given difficulty, is there any way to calculate how much of that coin I will mine at a certain hashrate (on average) without the use of a premade online calculator (because the new coins do not have such premade calculators)?

I would like to get into mining for the first time and since I have surplus cash on hand that I don't mind losing, the best way seemed to be by building a dedicated mining rig with GPUs (please correct me if I am mistaken in thinking that). I would really appreciate any advice anyone could give me with regard to the construction of my new rig because I am a total noob . Even though I am new at this, I believe I have a basic idea with reagards to what I want my rig to contain:

• between 4 and 8 7970 GPUs (would like some advice regarding this
• either a standard i7 or the i7 hexcore special edition CPU
• intel SSD (of any size that I choose, betwen 50 and 500 GB)
• a PSU of some kind
• a case of some kind
• a motherboard of some kind (please tell me which one)
• a network card of some kind
• a sound card of some kind
• 16 GB of DDR3 RAM

That is about all I know . Can anyone please point me to a good guide/tell me any other parts I will need/advise me on the parts I have already selected in the list above (especially tell me which motherboard/sound card/network card I wil need)?
