Hi all,
Not sure if this is a common problem, currently running 6x rx570 on a gigabyte h110-d3a, 4gb ram, 32gb sad, pau 1350w, ubuntu 16.04, amdgpu-pro 17.40
Not sure exactly what is the issue but no matter what i do i cannot get ubuntu to detect the 6th card, it can only ever detect 5 cards
Swapped risers and cards all around, the moment any of the working 5 cards is removed, the previously undetected 6th card will be detected and work as per normal. It does not matter which card or riser i use.. if it was not detected, removing any of the other cards from the board will make it work after booting up
What could be the issue, power supply having trouble powering 6 cards? Motherboard faulty? Driver issue? Don't think is the riser or GPU issue as i have tested each individually and it can mine without issues..
Thanks!

Hi all, my first post,
Been trying to crack my head over this and not sure if Im doing this right.. Im currently running a 12x 1070 with 2x 1600w gold PSU setup on ubuntu, mining between ETH and ZEC, i am currently drawing almost 2900w at the wall..
I have set my power limit for each card to be at 125w, modest offset of +25/+600 and on start up (no mining), the rig idles at 265w with all 12 card fans spinning
However, the the moment the miner is started up it jumps all the way to 28XXw and holds there
ETH about 380mh/s ZEC about 5300Sol/s
Im not sure if my calculation is correct but shouldn't it be
12 X 125w = 1500W Mobo + others = 300w give or take
Total 1700w Gold PSU efficiency = 80% or so (120% power needed) = 2160W
But my killawatt is showing almost 2900W constant, 740w difference .. I could drastically reduce power consumption by setting the power limit to something like 95w for each card but of course my hash rates take a dive so definitely the power limit is doing something (but 95w is more like 125w and 125w seems to be more like 195w)
Question, is running a 12x 1070 supposed to consume that much power or is something wrong with my setup?
Thanks!
