I have a 0.5 BTC Casascius coin from 2013.  It is graded by ANACS, I think it is MS 66.  It is in a bank vault so I can't check right now.

As time goes on and the USD value of BTC increases won't these fetch less BTC?  Or has the market for these been static?

I'm wondering if I can build a miner using available components found on most hobby electronics sites like https://www.sparkfun.com/

I know it won't be profitable, but I just am wondering if it is possible and more for fun than anything else.

Anyone have any ideas on how build one?
