1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / (HELP) Etash 1080Ti Failure to Launch on: April 28, 2018, 04:44:07 AM
Windows 10-fully updated
New Nvidia driver
(3) 1080Tis of mixed brands

I normally use this rig for timetraveler or equihash but I wanted to give EthPill a try.  I've tried both Claymore 11.6 and 11.7 as well as Phoenix.  I can't get past the 2nd line on miner boot up before I get the Ethminer has stopped working pop up.

Any ideas what to look for or could be the issue?  I'm completely stumped.   Huh
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / MSI 1080Ti Hash Crash on: April 02, 2018, 12:03:07 AM
My 1080Ti test rig consists an watercooled Gigabyte Auros (GPU 1), a MSI Gaming X (GPU 2), and an EVGA SC2 Gaming (GPU 3).

As of this afternoon, I just noticed GPU 2 only hashing ZEC at 381 sol/s while GPU 1 is 710 and GPU 3 is 670.  I haven't changed any drivers, it doesn't matter if I turn off MSI AB, reboot the computer, or the miner.  This can't be good me thinks.

Things I noticed: Temp is OK at 63C, board is clean, Afterburner is showing erratic (when compared to the other 3) frame buffer, bus usage, and voltage limit spikes.  Power usage is very erratic.

Do I have a bad Gaming X board?  Thoughts?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ZCL Mining Issues-All Pools Being Stupid on: February 19, 2018, 12:59:41 AM
I can't be alone in this and I'm wagering some of it has to do with the dev mining buy out BUT I wanted to hear what others are saying.  I've tried mining on zclminepro, miningpool hub, and Supernova.  ZCLminepro hasn't produced more than $3 in more than 6 hours with (3) 1080tis.  Miningpool hub is off by 700 sol/sec based on my terminal.  I can't get Supernova to produce more than 100 sol/sec/card using the nicehash miner they recommend.

Huh Huh  Confused and irritated  Huh Huh
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Impossible to Buy GPUS on: February 01, 2018, 02:08:18 AM
I have auto notify on multiple legit venders
I get google group notifications
I get emails from nowinstock
I've searched far, wide, low, high
I've even sacrificed my first born.

Well maybe not the last one but sometimes...I'm so frustrated with just trying to buy one damn GPU to start my next rig.  Within literally seconds, 5-6 at most, from getting my auto notifications the stock is gone.  I can't even login fast enough to hit pay.  People must just have Captcha work around and auto buy scripts going for everything.  Is there a pre-order site?  Anything where I can put money down in a card that isn't asininely priced by vultures?  Angry
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETH Congestion on: January 07, 2018, 10:29:52 PM
Anyone else having issues moving ETH?  I'm still waiting for .1 from Nanopool from 3 AM this morning (4:30 PM now) and I withdrew another .1 from a server at 9 PM last night.  Both are still pending  Angry

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining Rig Down-The Frustration is Real on: November 27, 2017, 05:41:30 PM
Hey all,

Last night my screen began blinking on and off with some red pixelation.  It became so bad that eventually there was more screen off time than on.  I contacted NVIDIA tech support thinking it was a GPU issue and after 3 hours of chat tech support with them on my laptop, I gave up and went to bed.  Here's what I know in a nutshell:

1) I have a Corsair HX1000i PSU, ASRock BTC H81 MB, 8 GB ram, (4) MSI 1070 GTX 8 GB GPUs, and a celeron cpu.
2) NVIDIA tech and tried musical chairs with the riser seating (BTW they said USB risers are NOT supported by these boards) to no avail
3) I have flashed my BIOS and updated the GPU drivers to the latest
4) Each GPU works individually
5) No issues found in msinfo according to NVIDIA
4) Currently I have (2) cards up and running.  As soon as I add in the additional cards, the problem comes back.

This leads me to think there's either a MB issue (I have a help request to ASRock), a power issue, or a riser issue.  I really despise not knowing where to take it from here and having essentially have $1K sitting around doing nothing.  Anyone that can help me get up and running I'll even send a token of my appreciation.  If this is in the wrong topic area, I apologize in advance.

Thanks
7  Economy / Speculation / Today's (11/20) Sudden Drop on: November 21, 2017, 05:18:29 AM
So I've been watching the coins most interested in throughout the day (BTC, ETH, LTC, GRS, FTC, BCN, VTC, MUSIC) and everything seemed stellar.  At one point, FTC was up 50% from yesterday.

Up until 20:40 when there was a 3 hour long sharp correction across the board in the coins above.  BTC dropped roughly $400 USD, ETH $20, LTC $4, etc. etc.   What would cause this besides whales taking profits across multiple coins?  Alt coin holders being reactionary to BTC?  Trying to understand this market...

8  Economy / Exchanges / Junk Orders on GDAX? on: November 12, 2017, 10:50:34 PM
Hey guys,

I've been watching the order history on GDAX for the last few minutes and I've noticed a trend popup: There's a reoccuring buy order of 0.00000172 BTC which is roughly 0.0099 USD at the time of writing this.  Perhaps I'm still too green around the ears and don't understand it well enough, but are these just spam orders to fill up the network?  Or something completely normal and I'm just not in the know?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Physical Gridcoin on: November 05, 2017, 05:58:12 PM
Does anyone know of a place I could buy a physical Gridcoin for a memento?  I mine GRC on the side and I'm a big fan of the meaning of the coin and how it looks.  I haven't been able to find one.

Thanks!
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / grs.suprnova.cc Hash Discrepancy on: November 04, 2017, 05:09:08 PM
Hey guys,

I just started mining Groestlcoin at Supernova and I'm seeing a pretty huge (10-60%) discrepancy between what supernova is reporting as my hash rate (40 MH/s to 90 MH/S) versus the consistent 101.9 MH/s that CCminer is showing on all of my shares.  I've read a few posts saying they're a scam and a few posts saying they're trustworthy.  I'm not so worried about the 10% difference but when I'm mostly seeing the 40 MH/s, well that's like operating only 1 GPU.  Not cool  Shocked

Thoughts anyone?
