1  Economy / Lending / .15 BTC Loan (Zero Collateral) on: February 15, 2015, 07:31:05 AM
Looking for a 0.15 BTC loan for 2.5 weeks, will repay .20 BTC (USD Equivalent due to volatility) in exactly 18 days.

I am offering zero collateral at the moment, but feel free to check my feedback and determine if I am "worth the risk".
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why not..? on: January 24, 2015, 05:28:35 AM
How about that title for an attention getting advice? Anyways, I have an important (to me) question...

Why not create an altcoin that has a reward based on an order of magnitude of hashing power of each miner such that reward(R) is equal to log base 10 of hashing power? For example:

1 MH/s = (log(1)=R); R=0 coins
2 MH/s = (log(2)=R); R=approx. 0.30103 coins
5 MH/s = (log(5)=R);R=approx. 0.69897 coins
10 MH/s = (log(10)=R); R=1 coin
1337 MH/s = (log(1337)=R);R=3.12613 coins
10 GH/s = (log(10000)=R);R=4 coins
10 TH/s = (log(10000000)=R);R=7 coins

This would create a vast wealth-gap reduction, so that 1% of addresses do not own 70% of coins. In doing so, there would be a great decrease in market-dumping and would be asic-proof in the code itself. If a miner with 10 TH/s mined 1 block with a reward of 7 coins, another miner could make the same profit with 10 MH/s of hashing power in 7 blocks. That discourages huge for-fiat-profit mining operations and encourages everyone to mine to make their coin, further supporting the network itself because everyone can generate coins even with an old CPU (every H/s counts!)

Thoughts, Concerns, "Fuck you, you socialist bastard"(s), etc. Huh

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Bitcoin Poem... Since I was bored... on: December 28, 2014, 08:21:31 AM
You rise so high,
Then fall so low.
We wait to see,
Where you will go.

Who created you?
We surely don't know.
We've guessed before,
But learned it was a "no".

You bought us pizza,
But drugs were bought too.
The pizza was your start,
But the drugs led you askew.

People look down on you,
and think of you badly.
They label your users as
hackers and druggies... sadly.

What can we do?
How can we progress?
If the media attacks,
Do not regress?

Let's begin the good behavior,
And make make ourselves worthy,
To become, once and for all,
The "New World's Currency".

11  Economy / Lending / $625 Loan.. Please read fully. on: December 28, 2014, 07:49:37 AM
Hello my name is Noah and I am requesting a $625 loan. My reason for this request is to fund purchases for my business, BrainPower Pharmaceuticals. These purchases consist of pharmaceutical intermediates as well as chemistry supplies (glassware, scales, etc.). The breakdown of purchasing is as follows:

From Amazon:

1. GEM20 High Precision Digital Milligram Scale 20 x 0.001g: $17.00
2. 1000 Empty Gelatin Capsules "Size 3" (x3): $48.00
3. Plastic Transfer Pipettes 3ml, Gradulated, Pack of 100: $5.00
4. 6 Piece Pyrex Glass Test Tube Set with Caps and Rack (x3): $33.00
5. 213C2 Karter Scientific Glass Graduated Cylinder 3 Piece Set 10, 50 & 100ml: $18.00
6. 213B2 Karter Scientific Glass Erlenmeyer Flask 5 Piece Set 50, 150, 250, 500, & 1000ml: $17.00
7. Glass Stirring Rods: 200mm (8 in): Pk/12: $11.00
8. SEOH GLASS FUNNEL Neutral glass 100 mm 100 mm stem: $10.00
9. EISCO Acrylic Buret with PTFE Stopcock, 50mL Capacity, 0.1mL Graduation : $18.00
10. EISCO Premium Lab Metalware Set: $30.00
11. Laboy Glass Organic Chemistry Lab Glassware Kit 24/40: $165.00
--Shipping: $30.00
Total Amazon Purchase: ~$402.00 USD

Various Chemical Suppliers:

1. (Chemical 1) 100g: $78.00
2. (Chemical 2) 50g: $22.00
3. 25X SYRIAN RUE SEED EXTRACT 14.0g: $33.00
Total Chemical Supply Purchase: ~$133.00 USD

Current Loan Repayment: $65 USD

Misc Money for Purchases: $25 USD

Total Amount: $625 USD

From this purchase of chemicals I plan to make about $3200+ worth of product with a cost of $625, leaving a net profit of $2,575+.

I plan to repay this loan over my next few paychecks (13 to be exact) or as soon as I do $780 in sales. I will pay you $60 bi-weekly from each paycheck for a total of 13 paychecks ($780 total). This leaves you with a profit of $155, or around 25% interest. But I am not done... I also plan to give you 10% of all profits generated from sales for a period of 6 months and that amount could vary greatly (possibly in your favor or possibly not). Either way you are guaranteed repayment.

TL/DR: I need a $625 Loan for my business and I will repay $780 (or more) within 6 months + dividends for 6 months. I will negotiate terms but as of right now I have little to no collateral. No, I am not making meth or anything illegal of the sort, even though the final product contains a compound with an "-amine".

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / New type of exchange? Would it work? on: July 21, 2014, 05:17:48 PM
I was thinking of this a bit of go, and it just struck me that it could be possible. What if one were to create a bitcoin exchange that only deals in high volume bitcoin trades, such as those in excess of 10 BTC. This exchange could be a place in which people go who have a large amount of bitcoins, or cash, and are looking to exchange a high volume, instantly, instead of having to wait at a normal exchange.... Would this kind of exchange work and would it be used?

19  Economy / Lending / .04 BTC Loan, for Mining Contract on: July 15, 2014, 03:31:53 PM
Hello it's Noah. I have found that I have the opportunity to purchase a 4 TH/s 24 Hour BTC mining contract. BUT FOR $25! Right now I have no coins, but I do have trust, and hopefully that could help. I am willing to a .04 BTC loan to be paid back either in 48 Hours with a end total of .055 BTC when I receive payment from the contract, or, if it turns out to be a scam (which it shouldn't be because the website has a good rating), I will pay back .065 on August 18th When I receive my earning from primedice. This contract would allow me to earn $73 in 24 hours, so that would be enough to pay back the .055 BTC.
20  Economy / Games and rounds / .05 BTC Jackpot... Roll the dice! 5 players, 20 % chance to win! on: July 03, 2014, 03:26:16 PM
Hello, I am starting a quick game of "dice". What you will do will send .011 bitcoin to the following address (at the end of post) once I get 5 slots reserved. You will pick a 20 number segment between 1-100 (1-20, 21-40, 41-60, 61-80, 81-100) and post it on this thread. Once I get 5 participants I will ask you to send. Once I get all of the bitcoins for the jackpot, I will go on just-dice and roll a 50%, but it will not be a win or lose, it will be whatever number comes out between 1-100. If the number is in your segment, you win .05 BTC!

Yes I know the house edge is 10% but hey, why not? If you dont feel like participating, dont leave your "no one will do this" posts here, and dont leave negative trust either Tongue
I am hoping there will be enough people to risk $6.50 to win $32.50.

1PL328CQNaY2J1SpUZgeyVwwdQr2Cspuqy is the address to send to once you get the cue.
