1  Economy / Collectibles / Redeeming casascius coin on: January 06, 2022, 06:45:51 PM
Can someone please explain the best way to convert from mini private key to one that can be imported by blockchain.

Everything Iím finding online is command based complicated stuff. Surely there is an easy way.

2  Economy / Service Discussion / Nexo - Anyone got any experience with them? on: January 05, 2022, 02:45:45 PM
Been looking more and more at the idea of using a service like this with a portion of my coin. In the past always been a ďnot your keys, not your coinĒ, kind of guy but I have been interested in returns on long stored coins that can still gain interest in BTC.

Would love to hear opinions good or bad if you have any.

Happy New Year

3  Economy / Collectibles / Anyone with experience with ANACS? on: May 05, 2021, 07:30:55 PM

Would like a little advice on getting coins graded with anacs. Pretty hard now that prices are so high. Would travel to the US (Iím in the UK). Anybody had any good/bad experiences?

4  Economy / Collectibles / Very close to peeling some casascius coins. on: April 17, 2021, 08:51:07 AM
Any reason for me to not peel coins right now? Iím feeling the risk involved with selling and posting isnít worth the potential increase in value.

Anybody have a helpful opinion?

6  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum Error on: June 10, 2020, 08:25:56 AM

I have a couple of electrum issues and would be very pleased to have some help on these.

I have recently installed Electrum on a computer.

I set up a wallet and used a Trezor to keep it secure.

I swept a private key from a paper wallet. Funds confirmed as usual and show in electrum.

I then tried to send the funds on and met with the error message -

DataError: Native segwit is disabled.

I tried to send to a blockchain account and also tried to send to another paper wallet. Both of them met with the same error.

Any ideas why this is happening?

7  Economy / Collectibles / Casacius Coins on: June 08, 2020, 03:47:55 PM
Whats the going rate for a casacius single nowadays? Is there an easy way to see previous recent sales?

Proof of sale back to Mike Caldwell would be available too

8  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitaddress not sweeping correctly on: June 08, 2020, 03:45:37 PM
I have used bit for years and have never had any issues at all. Always used offline saved javascript version and never even had a glitch.

I went to sweep an old wallet today into blockchain and the coins did not appear even though but said the wallet was imported. )I could not see the public address in the list of imported addresses. I tried a second blockchain account and it said wallet imported  again  and the only address it said was imported was a different one to the one I have.

Is this an issue with Should I try somewhere else before I start getting worried?

Thanks for any help given

9  Economy / Collectibles / AUCTION - 0.5BTC Ungraded Casascius Brass - Last 6 HOURS on: September 25, 2018, 08:01:25 PM
This Auction is for an ungraded 0.5BTC brass Casascius coin.

My original account used to organise plenty of group buys and had a great trust level. I was hacked around this time last year during the sale of another coin (see here and I could not restore it unfortunately.

Please feel free to ask any questions to make yourself comfortable. The coin was eventually sold at the end of the last auction from my new account after providing proof that I was telling the truth.

This came direct from Casascius himself was unpacked and put directly into the case. Should be another good opportunity to get a high quality example at decent price.

Once again, you dont need me to tell you that owning one of these in the not too distant future will make you an incredibly cool person. (Babe or guy magnet depending on your preference.)

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ELECTRUM/BCH theft on: May 25, 2018, 02:08:52 PM
Best place to ask about a BCH/electrum issue.

I just sent some BCH to shape shift as i have done before many times and my electrum wallet has been emptied. The outputs of the transaction show the ones going to the shapeshift wallet and the remainder going to an unknown address.

How is this possible

Please any advice as quick as possible would be appreciated.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Electron Cash Issue on: January 23, 2018, 03:45:40 PM
I seem to be struggling to sweep my BCH from my wallet after removing the BTC.

I have electrum on one computer and electron cash on another so there should be no interfering with each others data.
My electron cash transaction history is a little strange in the sense that since the 16h November all the transactions say unverified. Before that they worked fine and I know that even though they say unverified they did work as I was sending some BCH to shape shift to convert to BTC, which i recieved.

The issue is I have just swept a wallet with BTC into electrum and after waiting for confirmations tried to do it to electron cash which did not work. I get the message--

No Inputs Found. (Note that inputs need to be confirmed).

Any ideas?

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Electron Cash Issue on: November 18, 2017, 08:07:24 AM
I moved a number of BCH to BTC using

I went back to the electron cash wallet this morning and the history view showed just one transfer of BCH out and that transaction had a little clock next to it as if it hadn't completed.

Only thing is I sent maybe four transactions out and received the BTC for all of them.

Something must be wrong.

I then tried to send more BCH out and received an error message - error: The transaction was rejected by network rules.  (Missing inputs)

There is still enough BCH in there after the ones that should have gone have gone

Any ideas on how to update the history and be able to send?

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Higher fees importing vanity addresses? on: November 06, 2017, 07:25:17 PM
I just tried to import a vanity address into blockchain.

I was about to transfer the coins when i noticed that the fee was about to be 0.04 or £240. Is there any reason why that would be so high? Is it because it's a vanity address?

14  Other / Meta / Unable to log into account on: October 07, 2017, 05:53:32 PM
It seems my account password has been changed and I dont understand why or how it happened.

What should i do? I am concerned that a sale I had going through is being targeted for an escrow scam.
