1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Get credit, purchase Bitcoin, declare bankruptcy, profit?? on: June 18, 2013, 03:12:08 AM
Good evening,

Now, this might have only just occurred to me now and of course this would constitute fraud but what is stopping an individual from getting a line of credit in the 6 figure range, then purchasing a massive amount of Bitcoins then rinse with bankruptcy? I imagine the individual wouldn't care about his credit if they had several hundred thousand in the 'wallet'.

Your thoughts?

P.s. I hope someone is foolish enough to do this, it would prop the price up a bit for the rest of us  Cheesy

Well written article in a magazine regularly read by wealthy individuals. May we see a trend reversal now?

4  Economy / Service Discussion / CampBX - Dwolla deposits taking forever as opposed to 'Instant'? on: June 13, 2013, 01:12:28 PM
Ladies and Gents,

Have you had any issues with the CampBX Dwolla deposit feature? A good 24 hours ago, I deposited my daily limit to my account. Dwolla has kindly taken the money out of my account and CampBX has imposed a 31 day hold on my BTC so I am sure that they received my payment yet... how long as I expected to wait for the deposit to clear?

I would much prefer to purchase coins while they are less than 110 dollars a piece rather than when they resume the normal trend (somewhere around 180 dollars).

Tickets usually take 3-4 days so I would like some reassurance that I am merely being impatient and that a deposit takes a few days or something.

Thanks  Smiley
5  Economy / Speculation / Breakout soon? on: June 07, 2013, 04:05:27 AM

Is anyone else feeling a breakout soon? Market volume is very low but with recent mining difficulty increases (25%!), stock market instability (Nikkei especially) and Liberty reserve shutdown that we are overdue for money moving away from the above and into Bitcoin?

Considering the large amount of bad news in May and that Bitcoin did not crash and correct further gives me faith that we will see a price rally fairly soon on undervalued coins.

Thoughts?
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Chances of MTGox seizing funds from US wallets? on: May 18, 2013, 05:07:04 AM
Hi Bitcointalk,

I have at this time 60 bitcoins in my personal wallet but with the recent price volatility, I would like to day trade a little. Now, with all this talk about MTGox being an illegal money distributer, do you see any chance of Dep. of HS seizing a significant portion of their assets and thusly my assets?

I do see a lot of volume on MTGox recently so it seems people are rather confident but what do you think?
