1  Bitcoin / Meetups / New Bitcoin Only Meetup in Perth, Western Australia on: August 27, 2019, 07:20:39 AM
Quick plug on a meetup I run in Perth, WA:

What we're about

This meetup is focused on Bitcoin and Bitcoin only. We are not interested in discussing s***coins, ICOs, IEOs or blockchain projects (except in the context of Bitcoin). This meetup was created due to the constant derailment of Bitcoin discussions in Perth. We aim to foster a Perth Bitcoin community in which newcomers and Bitcoin OGs alike can come and learn about using Bitcoin, running a node, running and using lightning, privacy & security, Bitcoins economics and much more.

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How many nodes is too many in Bitcoin's current state? on: June 08, 2019, 04:57:19 AM
Has anyone done the math on this?

How many nodes would be too many for the network to stay sufficiently in sync in the 10 minute block times? I'm sure its an extremely high number but I'd be interested to know for curiosity sake.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Updated: List of Major Bitcoin Heists, Thefts, Hacks, Scams, and Losses on: June 08, 2019, 04:11:59 AM
Hey everybody,

I've recently continued on the work that user dree12 started back in 2014 listing all the Major Bitcoin heists, Thefts, Hacks, Scams and Losses. I decided to move the data to a table on GitHub so members from the community can contribute / point out issues more easily as dree12's original thread got discontinued from what I think was a lack of time to update it.

Below is the link to the repo which I have titled 'Proof-of-Keys.'

https://github.com/Electricsheep01/proof-of-keys/blob/master/README.md

I still have lots of additions / changes to make but it more or less has most of the major incidents listed.

Looking forward to your feedback / contributions  Smiley
