1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What if? on: February 18, 2018, 02:35:18 PM
What if someone will develop a project or conduct an ICO that will soon replace our daily tasks in doing campaign? Do you think soon there will be a platform that do services on doing campaigns?
Or do you know some ICO that have something similar to this?

Although it can be also compare to advertising platforms for bounty campaigns are usually created to advertise by paying tokens. I just wonder if someone has a project that accepts token as payment and the team will handle all the services. Although it would be really so hard for there are so many ICO to handle. It just came up into my mind, share your thoughts guys.

Bitcoin, earlier show us a little hope and expectation that it is recovering and bouncing back again. Yet after I check minute ago, it is starting to go down again. This volatility is the real deal now. What do you think will happen next, will it go more deeper or will it continue to recover before this day ends?

Avoiding Scams

Since the launch of bitcoin, there are many people trying to make a profit through scams. And most of the affected of the scams are the newbies.
So how do we identify if a project of a website is doing a scam? Although this is a very broad topic but i will be only discussing the most famous style of scamming.

The HYIP

Most of us are familiar of this type of program, HYIP is a type of ponzi scheme. HYIP means High-yield Investment program. This is where we see attracting posts like big return of investment for only 10days, double your coin for a week, and many more. Although you will really receive a payment from them BUT you didn't know where that payment came from.

So this is how it works, the first to invest in a HYIP programs are the one who get big shares, and the last to invest are the one who lost shares. It's because they are paying their old investors from the money of the new investors, and once they get enough funds from this program. They instantly vanish like a bubble. That is why most of the HYIP site have almost the same design and concept for it might be the same team doing the same scam again. So be careful where you invest.

If you have more ideas to add in this topic, feel free to share and i will add it in this thread.
Every investment has its risks, sometimes we need to risk in order to gain but also trying to minimize the risk is better.
Be safe and double check when you invest and as usual advice, invest what you can afford to lose.

Factors that affects Bitcoin price

#1 SUPPLY AND DEMAND - We all know that bitcoin has a limited supply therefore it price differs depending on the supply and demand. High demand while supply is low can make the bitcoin price go up.

#2 THE GOVERNMENTS - We have all witnessed that everytime a government implements new regulation regarding on cryptocurrencies, it has a big impact on bitcoin price. For example a government restricts the use of cryptocurrencies in its country.

#3 MEDIA - This is one of the cause of change of bitcoin price. In this section, we can see different type of news, the positive and negative. This also includes fake news and celebrities and known persons getting involve in cryptocurrencies.
Positive news - such as hype on bitcoin
Negative news - such as hacks that cause panics

#4 WHALES - This are the people that holds a big amount of bitcoin. It have a big impact on bitcoin price once these whales decided to sale or buy at the same time. So it is something like market manipulation.

#5 BITCOIN TECHNOLOGY - This affects bitcoin base on its stability. Right now, we are facing some declines because of many users loses interests to bitcoin due to slow transactions and bigger fees which is not effective in small transactions.

There are more factors out there that affects bitcoin price but for me, these are the common factors. If you have suggestions and corrections as well as addition to this topic you can post it in this thread to be added.
Hope this topic helps you get more idea of bitcoin.  Smiley

BITCOIN TRADING STARTER PACK

KNOWLEDGE - Before getting involve to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, first thing is we should have enough knowledge and idea of what we are dealing with in order to avoid losing profit and investments. In order to start trading, we should have at least an idea of how it works and how to profit on it. So start by exploring a bit more about bitcoin and the world of cryptocurrencies.

PERSONAL DEVICES - in order to keep track of our bitcoin and our other cryptocurrencies, we should have a personal device. For using other persons devices (like in our country, we sometimes use internet cafe to get access of our wallets) may cause a problem if you are irresponsible and may lose your money.

BITCOIN WALLET - Bitcoin Wallet is a software where we can store our bitcoins and we should have a secured wallet to store our bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. (Hardware wallet is somehow the most recommended for large amount of bitcoin base on my previous topic where many bitcointalk users suggested it)

CASH - Before you can start trading, you need a money to convert it to bitcoin through some exchange and then transfer it to your wallets.

CHART/GRAPH - And lastly, you should have a known place(site) where you can track the price of bitcoin. For bitcoin is volatile where its value changes every second.

General warning: the financial transactions offered at all trading sites are highly risky and may result in the loss of all your capital. You should not invest an amount of money that you are not prepared to lose."

I made this topic to help those people who wants to do trading yet have no idea on where to start with.
Hope this topic will help you. Any suggestions and contributions to this topic is highly appreciated in order to help the beginners to have a better trading.

BITCOIN 10 COMMANDMENTS

#1 Never invest more than you are able to lose.
#2 Store your coins across different wallets. (For larger amount of bitcoin, HARDWARE WALLET is highly recommended) - Note: If you don’t have ownership of your private keys, you don’t own Bitcoin.
#3 Unless you trade very often, always withdraw your funds from exchanges and store them on offline wallets.
#4 Understand and respect the idea of bitcoin and the intended direction set out by the creator and developers.
#5 Take time to read news in full and assess if it is accurate and what it means, do not believe everything you read or hear.
#6 Never allow your emotions to dictate your decisions, always take time to consider decisions and remove panic/fear from them.
#7 Hold a diverse portfolio of cryptocurrencies to reduce risk. (need better suggestions: to be replace)
#8 Practice safe practices with passwords and private keys, do not ever share these with anyone under any circumstances. Give your cryptocurrency addresses instead. Always backup you wallet/private key and store it on multiple locations. (better if it is hand written)
#9 Always put secondary securities if available.
#10 Buy low, sell high. (Just buy on the dips and hold) HODL!

So i was thinking of a good idea to help beginners to start their journey in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Then i came into this.
Would appreciate if you can contribute some suggestions that are better than mine so I can replace other commandments to make it look more better and helpful to freshers.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What if bitcoin wasn't created? on: January 31, 2018, 11:58:51 AM

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin tips: Bullish and Bearish Flags on: January 29, 2018, 12:46:54 PM
I just want to share a simple tips and knowledge of what i have learn from a facebook friend.
A weeks ago, while i was exploring on a group of bitcoin users in facebook, i met a person that is knowledgeable in trading. Since i have not much knowledge in trading, i tried asking him several questions on how to do trading and where should i start. Then he told me that cryptocurrency trading such as bitcoin is also have the same concept of forex trading, then he told me to study basic of forex trading. Then after that i started reading about the basic of trading until i came up into this topic about bearish and bullish which easily caught my attention because of being able to see these words in this forum. So i started to look at the graphs and search some videos until i saw these (check the picture).

This may be a simple graph but it can be helpful for newbie like me in trading. These are the flags or something like checkpoint to know whether a coin/token will go down or rise up.
The one on the left(picture) is called Bullish Flag, if you see a graph something similar to that(left picture) then it is another way of telling that a coin/token value will go up and the one on the right(picture) is the Bearish flag the opposite of the bullish flag which shows that a coin/token will go down if you saw a graph similar to that(right picture).
Although it is not that accurate but for me it helps a bit for it gives me an idea on when to buy and when to sell but we all know that there are still a risk. Try also searching for tutorials about the two flags to get more idea about it and knowledge in trading. Although there are still more ways to predict or to get an idea of when will be the highs and lows other than these. Hope that it will help a bit.

Edit - here is the link if there is problem loading the picture.

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What are your experience and learning in bitcoin? on: January 27, 2018, 02:33:49 AM
What are your experience in bitcoin?
What did you learn from staying here in the forum?

Let me share my experience in bitcoin. I started using bitcoin early 2014 but didn't give much importance on it. I only use it for buying game credits and gambling although that didn't last long and i stopped.
And now i am back, facing some regrets although we cant change the past so we need to move forward. Until i discovered this forum. At first, i feel so confident in joining this forum for i feel like i know much about bitcoin but after being in here i was OP or out of place. There are a lot of things i do not understand! I was like, what is bullish? What is bearish? HODL? mooning? ICO?
Altcoins? and many more things i didn't understand. So i studied harder to caught up a bit. This forum help me learn more about cryptocurrency.

To share some of my learning here is some idea for newbies like i was before.
-bullish is when bitcoin is acting to rise up or rising up
-bearish is the opposite of bullish which is going down
-HODL is "hold on for dear life" back then it was just a simple typo error for hold
-mooning is same as rising
-ICO or Initial Coin Offering is a fund raising for new cryptocurrency

These are what i learn after staying in this forum for 2months+ although there are still many more but I can't add it all in this statement so let's explore more of this forum and learn.

Care to share some of your experience and learning.

I was inspired to create this thread because i was amazed when i saw a previous thread that was created around may and were guessing that the value of bitcoin at the end of the year would be around $6,000, i would also agree on that day that it would be just around $5,000 - $6000 in the end of the year and was also surprise that it reached $20,000 before the year end.
