2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / bitcoin "from" address on: October 29, 2017, 07:52:44 AM
Hey guys,

I know there is no "from" address when we send bitcoins. However, is there any way to prove when B receives btc, it was sent from a particular party? If A and C both claim they sent btc to B with the same amount and B only receives one payment, how do we identify the sender?
3  Economy / Service Discussion / green address wallet api on: October 27, 2017, 03:41:22 PM
Hey guys,

Has anyone used green address API? Their API doc seems a bit messy and I could not find any API function for withdrawal or sending out coins. Does anyone knows if their API support sending function and where to find it?

Also, do they support sending out to multiple address in one transaction?

Thanks!
4  Economy / Web Wallets / choice of hot online wallets on: October 27, 2017, 09:56:26 AM
With the hard fork approaching I saw bitcoin.org suggests to shun away from the hard fork adopters such as coinbase, blockchain and xapo? Any good online wallet to use?

Does anyone know those which online wallet those big exchanges such as bitstamp, kraken, bitffinex use? Do they use 3rd party hot wallet or they are using their own proprietary online wallet?

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / btc wallet features on: October 24, 2017, 03:05:46 PM
Hey guys,

A few questions about common bitcoin wallet functions:

1. if i have a wallet but forget the passphrase, i cannot recover the passphrase or gain access to the private keys unless i have printed them out?

2. If a wallet generates many addresses, and I use a new address for each new deposit. How do I manage all the small deposits on different addresses? If I send certain amount of btcs from this wallet, it will automatically deduct coins from multiple addresses? And in which order?

3. I heard when sending btc out, each used address's btc will all go out and then the changes will go back to a new address in the wallet. If this is true, the wallet will auto recognize / create a new btc address and pre-determine a deposit address in the wallet before sending btc out?

4. One btc wallet can generate unlimited amount of btc address (private keys)? Which btc wallet do you recommend to use to generate a large amount of btc addresses offline?
6  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / sending out btc to multiple addresses in one transaction from bitcoin exchanges on: October 18, 2017, 03:42:39 PM
How does a bitcoin exchange collect all the withdrawal requests (btc addresses) and send to multiple address as one transaction? I know some wallet have manual sendmany functions, but i assume bitcoin exchange will do this automatically?

Also, i notice some exchanges will have review time. If it's all done automatically, what are they reviewing? checking btc addresses or account balances?
7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / multi random btc address generation with bitcoin exchanges on: October 17, 2017, 03:56:31 PM
Hey guys,

Anyone knows how those bitcoin exchanges can randomly generate btc address for a new signed up account? Also, a new random address can be automatically generated each time we click on deposit tab. How do they achieve that automatically? Those addresses are all generated from one online wallet?

When user deposits real bitcoin, how does the exchange recognize those addresses are linked to a certain account, so that it can credit that account automatically?
