1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Still waiting on unconfirmed transaction - Blockchain very slow? on: November 19, 2013, 03:48:53 AM
I've been waiting of a transaction for more than 6 hours, and it's still in "unconfirmed" status. Transaction fees of 0.0001 were paid on a ~.7 btc transfer.

Blockchain.info is saying 72 hours (queue position 4996)

Is anyone else having problems? Maybe the blockachin is bogged down with all the transactions?

What can I do short of waiting? Who knows what my BTC will be worth in 72 hours?!?!?

Thanks
2  Bitcoin / Wallet software / BTC stuck in blockchain.info shared send on: November 09, 2013, 06:07:11 PM
Hello,

I send some BTC last evening through blockchain.info "shared send". They have not yet arrived at the destination. There are many confirmations on the transaction though. Elapsed time has been roughly 12 hours at this point.

I'm not sure how to troubleshoot the issue. Looking at the transaction on block chain.info does not help much, since the nature of shared send is to obscure the destination address.

Can someone offer any help or troubleshooting advice? I did submit a problem ticket, but have gotten no response.

Thanks in advance
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Display your cgminer Stats on a small LCD Display (cgminerLCDStats) on: September 27, 2013, 02:10:47 AM
Hi Everyone,

I like to take a minute to introduce a new monitor app for cgminer. This simple script will get data from the cgminer API and display mining statistics on a small LCD screen attached to your computer or Raspberry Pi. It's a great addition to most unix based mining setups, and includes a handy MtGox ticker and clock display as well. It's been verified to work with most Linux distributions, Apple OS X, and as I said, works great on the Pi.

The project website is here:
http://cardcomm.github.io/cgminerLCDStats/

The code can be downloaded here:
https://github.com/cardcomm/cgminerLCDStats

Here is a screen shot of the display in action:

You can order the specific LCD screen needed for this app from the ColdTears Electronics ebay store:
(Note that I am IN NO WAY connected with ColdTears electronics, nor am I endorsing this ebay seller. I've personally ordered and received two units, and I know several others have purchased them as well.)

I first heard of this display in a post on the MinePeon forum. There are quite a few posts in that thread discussing the LCD display and this project.
BTW, the code to support the LCD display is rolled in to the current release of MinePeon.

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / BitInstant down for cash deposits - other options for U.S. buyers? on: June 11, 2013, 03:38:04 AM
It seems that BitInstant is no longer taking cash deposits for Bitcoin purchases. Supposedly their new site will be up Real Soon Now.

Meanwhile, I'm looking for an alternative way to purchase bitcoins. I've been searching all afternoon, and it seems that buying Bitcoins in the U.S. isn't nearly as easy as it should be! So far the best idea I've found is to try and but them through this forum. But I'm having trouble searching up vendors that are still providing the service.

Can someone offer some advice, or perhaps direct me to some reputable vendors? Thanks so much in advance Smiley
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Selling Bitcoins on EBay? on: May 25, 2013, 01:52:13 AM
Anyone have any comments on the perils and/or benefits of selling Bitcoins on Ebay? Obviously it seems like there is a significant profit there. But I assume there are lots of problems with chargebacks.

Anyone have experiences they are willing to share?
